At the Halloween party, my drunk ass inadvertantly wandered up into the VIP area, and Kenny checked my thingy around my neck and said I had to leave the area. Again, he was very nice about it.

I've also seen him throw some loud doushebag through the double doors at Bill's Bar without blinking an eye. He takes his job seriously and probably doesn't give a shit about what others think. Good for him because thats the way O & A like it.

Twitchells just seemed to be a little too sensative. Maybe it's the weed, maybe it's the tourettes, maybe it's just him...whatever. He is on the show to be laughed at and he does realize that. When Kenny said something he didn't care for, he got upset and overreacted.

Let's leave who gets airtime to O & A, they've done pretty good so far.

Kenny never changed his story, from the beginning to end of the discussion he was solid. Twitchels on the other hand... Accused Kenny of the "who the fuck..." comment until several people said it never happened and then his story changed to "Kenny came back 5 minutes later when no one was around." Then the phone part... "I only made 1 phone call. I made 1 call. I called my mom. I made only 1 call." Then Kenny seems to have the bill in his hand and knew that it was 3 calls and he knew the approximate costs and Twitchels' changed his line to "1 phone call that I remember". And, while not a lie, there was the hypocrisy of calling Kenny unprofessional and being upset that Kenny called him "a nothing" and said they didn't need him and then unloading the stream of obscenities at Kenny over the phone. Oddly enough, as the argument got more heated Kenny sounded smarter and less like the retard he normally sounds like while Twitchels went the exact opposite direction. I hated Twitchels, but as I've continued to listen to him explain the way tourette's affects his life I've grown to accept him (or at the very least tolerate him to the point where I don't hate him anymore). I'm still by no means a fan of him when he's in reading the news (really tired of this segment, actually, but I know a lot of other fans enjoy it so I can't bash), but I think he's brought a lot more to the show than Kenny ever will.

It was for that reason that I didn't like the way Opie was on Kenny's side from the beginning. I know Kenny does a ton of shit for him off-air, but it's what we hear on the show that makes people fans, and Twitchel's has had a lot to do with that. Sure, he can easily be replaced with some other fuck-up with a disorder who will provide the same entertainment value, but he has history with the show (brief, but he's been on for awhile now) and has a lot more personality than Kenny.

I don't really know why I'm arguing in his favor, he's never made me laugh. He just seemed a lot more honest and (I'll get shit for this) down to earth, and with all the lame fake characters out there in radio I felt he deserved a little more credit for who he is.

You know, I was thinking almost the same identical thing this evening watching Last Comic Standing: The Finale and Josh Blue's victory. I actually like the Blue kid, fucked-up affliction and all. ? This is part of what they've always done. There's always a little in-house shit over the air, which is just as good if not better. Howie and local news are easy targets and you really can't do it that much before it gets old. Gotta space it out.
