Did anyone notice from the CBS/Citadel audio of the show yesterday, that Opie hinted that he may be on the stage at Darien Lake (perfect outdoor stadium for the Virus Tour) during a phone call from "Dan from Buffalo"...

At about 1 minute in they take a call from Dan, at about 2 minutes in Dan threatens Opie to bring his traveling comedy tour HERE... then at about 3 minutes and 30 seconds, Opie ends the call by saying "I'll see you on the stage of Darien Lake, Dan... I'll be looking for you"

Now we just have to guess the date. Darien Lake has an October Fest / Halloween Fright Night weekends during late October, so my guess would be...

I think its down to your local station to get involved... why not give them a call/e-mail or two?

It seems like Opie threw out the darien lake reference, just as a local reference.

Or maybe they've been over it, and Darien lake is the obvious choice for an event like this.

For some reason, I'm not expecting them to come this summer.. they haven't been on in buffalo very long, and they aren't being really pushed by the edge at this point.

Perhaps next summer makes more sense.

Actually I think their plan is to show up in Buffalo in early December for the comedy tour and then show up in West Palm during the next hurricane. Anything's possible though, they are going to Cleveland.

I was thinking about Darien Lake. Ever been there before when there's a concert and you can hear it in the park? How would that work with the brand of comedy that is done at the Virus?
