I tend to not listen to bands who name themselves after another band's song...
EX....GodSmack names themselves after Alice in chains song....Godsmack sucks balls.

Theives and Liars name themselves after a Ministry song...therefore, they must suck.

I enjoy Godsmack and thats a silly reason to hate a band...Eventually your gonna run out of names.... just like some people have songs by the same name, it happens...

I just though God-smack was a rip-off of alice in chains, so naming themselves after one of their songs just cemented the fact....my opinion...

I actually like Godsmack.....I'm not 100% sure about this but did Godsmack start off as an Alice in Chains tribute band???? That might be where the name came from....

Godsmack is more a rip off of Filter/Broken-ear NIN

Don't remember the name of it, but their first single was a straight rip of the 'Hey Man Nice Shot' riff.

That's why I don't like 'em.

Also, bands who write a song and title it with the band's name. Things usually won't go well for your ears when listening to them. Think Porno for Pyros.

I f you're going to listen to "this type o' sound", you're better going with Clutch. Better vocals, plus they're one of the best live bands out there.
