I was listening to WYSP today, the eagles game was on, and they announced that all week during HOWIE the station would be giving away tickets to norton's show the 28th?!?! I'm wondering if this should be seen as little glimmer of hope? considering the "boys" have been locked away; Norton was under contract wit the "boys"; infinity is now promoting norton's show.....Is it possible that there may be truth to the rumor that the "boys" have merely been shelved for a period of cooling off?!?!?!? Otherwise, why would infinity be promoting norton's show???

Just wondering, pondering, and .....drinking!!!

The place he is playing at might have bought ad time on the station.. Infinity won't say no to AD dollars on Old F Howard's show.

The ad has nothing to do with howie's show, if you listen to YSP all of the tickets, and freebies, and shit given away by the station is all done during commercial breaks. The affiliation to howard is minimal....I was just wondering if either:

A. Infinity is honoring some obligation in norton's contract...
(if so, why???)

or

B. Is infinity keeping the boys on the tender tongue of the public.
(the heat's been fading fast)

I think it is in support of the ONA Show.

And I started having all of these same thoughts once I started hearing the spots for the upcoming Norton gig. It's definitely possible that this has some connection to the show and/or the return of O&A. It could also have been negotiated months ago before this entire debacle took place.

I think they will be back on Infinity within the coming months. Infinity knows how stupid it would be to let them go, they will get paid big time, and steal all of the afternoon listeners. I just hope they don't go to mornings, that's a bad move. They need to continue in their planted time slot.

Infinity wouldn't want them going to a competitor and they definitely wouldn't want them to compete with that douche bag Howard Stern. Anyway, they say that they're laying low.

It has nothing to do with O and A coming back. I think the stations are making money of Jim's events in one way or another, they could even be getting a cut of the door. Ron and Fez were also plugging Norton's show, they were plugging it once an hour and giving away tix. The way they plugged Norton was diffrent then the way they plugged brother Joe you could sense the Norton plugs were business. Even though they kicked the O and A out the door they still make money off them

Norton's show is a YSP sponsored event...nothing more than that really.

Hey, this is good news! :) Looks like Infinity has been playing devil's advocate, trying to please everybody. Let's hope that's what it is.
