FU Oklahoma Speed Limits

I didn't get a ticket, I'm just angry out of principle.

There is a highway here in Oklahoma city that is straight as an arrow and is 6-8 lanes wide, depending on all the merging lanes and shit.

So what would you think the speed limit would be for a wide, straight highway?

80? Nope. Try again.

75? Nuh uh. Not even close

Does the state not realize that 60mph on a 6 lane highway is like a god damn SNAIL?!!?

I always go 80 on that mother fucker, and so does everyone else. If I ever get a ticket, it will turn into jail time, because I will have to spit in the officer's face.

Speed limits are a fucking joke, they are to slow in the wrong places and to fast in others. I don't think that there were any real studies performed in order to come up with these limits.

There are many places that the speed limits are changed back and forth just so they can catch people off guard and write tickets. That is just fucked up.

Some roads can't support high speed limits, I can understand that, but this one RT495 is a straight rd with little traffic, 65 is a joke. 80 is more like it, still safe enough to drive.

fmeinthea had a similar thread, he is a fucking nut. He drives well, uses turn signals and it very safe, he just drives fast. I think 140-160 is out right crazy on a regular road, but hey to each their own.

Insurance companys gave radar guns to police departments. The goal was to issue speeding tickets which would boost insurance surcharge fees.

Get a radar/laser detector and always let some other jackass go faster then you. You're less likely to get banged that way.
