I know some of you will call bravo sierra on this, because it's just too ruh-dick-uh-lus, so as soon as I get the chance I'll grab my camera next time I head to this place.

There is a drive in here in Norman (by the way, I just moved into my apartment:icon_mrgr ) called "Classic 50s. DELICIOUS fuckin food, especially for a fast food place.

Anyway, I was looking down near the slushie menu and noticed something strange.

They have an "Adults Only" drink selection...alcoholic drinks, that is.

Drinks include Fuzzy Navel, Tequila Sunrise, Margaritas and more....

Alright for any of you slow people not getting how hilarious this is, let me sum it up for you. It's ALCOHOL served at a DRIVE-IN.

No wonder there are so many wrecks on that street.

Chickasha and Stillwater both have DRIVE-THRU LIQUOR STORES! Alot of small town have 'em. Granted, they're not a drive-in diner, but still.

Surprise to me when I moved from NJ to Phoenix I have seen a few drive through liquor stores which amazed me since Phoenix where it's no LA or NY is quite a large and densly populated town. So I was amazed when I saw these places around.

Uhm ... so the fuck what? I have one down the street and know of at least 5 in Atlanta. The biggest liquor store in Atlanta (Towers, all you Atlanta Wackbaggers know exactly what I am talking about) has a drive through. What is that so hard to believe?

I'm not talking about a drive through liquor store

I'm talking about a fast food drive in, like Sonic (but tastes better), that serves you alcoholic beverages.

Those are even more frequent. There is an Iranian resturant I know that does that. There are many more, but my mind can not think anymore, today was my first day back at school after a summer of being high/drunk for 80% of it.

I grew up in NY and NJ and never heard or ever saw one that's all. Not saying they didnt exist but if they did they werent easy to find or well known. So it was just surprising to see so many when I moved out here.

Both ridiculous. Point taken. Is Sonic an East Coast thing?

I don't know if you realize that there is a little bit of difference between Norman OK and Atlanta...G

Although I did get wasted right across from the Boomer Sooner once...

It's based in Oklahoma but the franchise is everywhere.

Why is this such a stange idea? I've never gone to a liquor store and actually drank there. Even buying liquor from a bar, do you buy a bottle and sit at the bar? No, you go home and drink.

I came upon a place in a Mall in North Carolina: "Frank -N- Steiner" What better to do on a Saturday afternoon that go clothes shopping at the Mall and get a couple of 64 ounce beers in the food court? They even put sippy tops on the cups for straws

But what about a drive in that serves it to you? You're sipping a "Tequila Sunrise" as you are driving out of the lot.

Ah yes.... very strange. That's why I strategically quoted Byelorussian's post. Your post.... never heard of such a thing. However, I was just supporting the idea of drive-thru liquor stores. Even though I've never seen one.
