Yes, I know this sounds redundant, considering we already have one devoted to network coverage of football, but two things irritated the shit out of me while I had the game on in the gym -

1.) The stupid Tony Kornheiser questions that the viewers kept throwing at him through emails - "Are you going to place casino ads on your bald spot?" I don't give a fuck! Call the goddamn game - this isn't Pardon the Interruption anymore!

2.) With less than 5 minutes left to the game (I think it was 16-13 at this point) they cut away from the game to show a basic stat box that you see every couple minutes...except it's about Brett Favre, who has NOTHING to do whatsoever with this game.

I think someone posted a general FU to Favre and the entire sports broadcast community for being permanently attatched to his cock. I tried searching for it, but found nothing...anyway, I don't care how inspirational his comeback is or any of that shit - as I said before, there is a game on the field. Call it!

WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY are you watching preseason football, let alone the whole damn game. i know how to play football, i dont need mush head telling me how to set up a screen, kornheiser is a breath of fresh air, and not a dennis miller breath of fresh air, he uses standard 4-7 letter words that most people get. so i liked him, for atleast the first 10 minutes of the first quarter anyway.

Any football game in which Joe Theissmann is involved (unless someone is tearing his leg off again) is a football game that I won't be watching.

This year, I will now be watching Sunday Night Football and skipping Monday nights. In the past, I regularly blew off Sunday Night Football specifically because of Theissmann.

Theisman is the fucking worst. He's proof that you can play a game for your whole life and not know the first thing about it. Hopefully LT decides to finish what he started one day.

I thought I just heard R & F say that Monday night's game was the lowest rated in MNF history (preaseason, but still...). Did anyone else hear him say this or was it just a throw-away line?

Two factors my good friend:
A) It was on ESPN, meaning cable, thus lower ratings
B) It was preseason, thus less veiwers

All year the ratings will be lower, but on ESPN those ratings will be A++

McGuire is the worst

theisman is the worst.

Together, they were unbearable. The only good thing about the two of them working together is that, between the two of them, they could only ruin one game per week.

I'm happy someone has brought this up. I've hated MacGuire and Theisman for years. I would watch Sunday Night Football with the sound off. All those two schmucks would do is bash everything. If someone made a great catch, all they would bring up is how someone missed a block. Breaking both of them up was a great idea--they would argure like two children anyway.

I'm sure one of your local sports stations has a Monday night football. Turn the TV down and listen to the radio.
