We've all had them. Most of the girls I had crushes on were way out of my league and purely lust and physical attraction. But there is always one that seems special. The one that makes you get the butterflies in your stomach and turns you in to a stuttering muttering prick.
We were in school together of course. We weren't really friends, more like acquaintances. She was a friend of a girl that briefly dated one of my friends. Nothing ever happen more than the idle chatter sitting in class waiting for the teacher to start, and the "Hey" as you walk by in the hall. But I always liked her and I doubt she ever knew it.
Any ways, I went on home school in 8th grade and never saw her again. That was 6 years ago.
After working on a car today, I was out test driving it. I stopped in at a BP to grab a soda and some gas. I just grabbed my soda and walked over to one of the girls working. She was taking care of some old cunt buying lottery tickets so I walked over to the other girl, threw the soda down and said "$10 in gas". Now, I'm a shy guy any ways, so I walk with my hat pulled down not generally looking people in the eyes unless I have to. So as she's making change I see her name tag which I quickly recognized. I then look up and it's her. I literally stopped breathing for about 3 seconds. Of course I didn't say a thing, grabbed my soda and change and rushed out, even ignoring her generic "Have a nice day" comment because I'm such a nervous douche.
I don't know what to do. I don't want to just "ask her out". I want to get to know her again. But my social skills are SHIT. I feel like I'm fucking 13 all over again.
I found that she has a myspace. Sending her a message would probably help break the ice easier. But I still haven't the slightest idea as to what to say.
I don't know if I'm asking for advice, I just kinda wanted to share the story and see if anyone else has had a similar experience.

"I don't know if you'll remember me, but my name is...."

Or you could just go for it and say; "Want to fuck?"

Childhood crushes are the best and most potent ones I think because your mind isn't clouded by the weight of the real world yet.

It's just a pure, true emotion.

In 6th grade my crush asked me out a perfect blonde Irish girl every guy dreamed of in school. I said no.

Always kicked my shy self in the ass .... I was afraid it was one of those if ya say year they ahha you like linda, ha ha ha things. kid shit.

Sop the girl was beautiful and by the time i was enough of a man to fix my mistake she was married..

25 years later i run into her at a bar, she just got divorced yada yada yada. perfect! ask her out shes all excited tells me how i broke her heart saying no n all....

Turned out to be the biggest pain in my ass gf of all time, got into drugs friggin alcoholic... nightmare... So mayby you should see whats shes been up to the few years first dude,,, start there just dont jump in liken infatuated lovesic puppy. She might of turned out to be a real asshole.

She wont respect you if you act that way around her anyway... you need to just say hi, unveil what youve got goin on.. and after a few stops inform her that your doing something cool this weekend and ask if she would like to tag along.. If she says no,,, no biggy you didnt ask her out .you were going anyways, was just an invite,,, ya feelin me kid;)

Never go back. She hates home school kids and probably killed herself after seeing you again.

I sent her a message on myspace.
She has no fucking clue who I am and doesn't remember seeing me at BP.
oh well...

You should have just gone up and talked to her. Although now if you do it she may think you're creepy and weird. I think you may have missed your window of opportunity with her again. I had a similar thing with a girl who I knew for years. I was head over heels and she never gave me the time of day. She's a psycho now and married to some loser who has to deal with her neurosis. Don't worry though, it won't gnaw at you for years to come or anything.:action-sm

I don't know if the window of opportunity is completely closed yet.
She asked for my name when she replied, but if I figure if I tell her then it will end up turning into a akward "Remember me? we talked a couple times in school, remember?" type thing which would be awful.
To borrow a line from Jim, I stink.

Just do it brother, what do you have to lose. Swallow every bit of pride and boyish anxiety you may feel and just be honest with her. I wouldn't go the myspace route anymore. I would talk to her in person it'll show you have a spine. No matter how awkward it may seem in person it's better than bullshitting yourself and living with this chick in your mind as she was 8 years. Like someone else said earlier in this thread she could be a real fucking loser who you want nothing to do with. If it works out hey great for you, if she sucks then well at least you won't be wondering for the rest of your life the old what could have been.

ahh fuck her, haha.
I don't really care anymore. She was just a "childhood crush" like I said.
Reason why I just gave up? The "girl that got away" just sent me a message after not seeing her in 4 years or speaking with her in about 1 1/2 years.
This was a girl that I dated for a while and really did love. It's a long story but she ended up going to stay with her mom about 300 miles away for a while which pretty much turned into 4 years and counting. She still wants me :icon_mrgr
Any ways, the BP bitch can go screw, my true love awaits.
