i have 2, can't choose which is worse(or more gooder, depending howw you look at it):

1--- this has to be on everybody's list. when that old lady called saying O&A were soft porn, and they found out how her boyfriend died. she said she thought he had the flu, and didn't have to go see a doctor. he had a heart attack or something.

2---"THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU!"

My favorite cringe radio moment was when they interviewed some tool about a product called Golden Mood. The product was supposed to make you happy, yet this guy was overly melancholy. They played the laugh track when they talked about his mom having cancer. Norton "Do you have any other celebrity endorses besides Kurt Cobain". It was the pinnacle of cringe radio. Nice sure do miss those fellas.

The Stalker Patty has to go bit, and the guy who called in and said he was drinking and taking some kind of anti-depressant, and O & A called the cops to help him, and he was fakin' it.

1. First time The Rock was in and he realized Sick Boy (whom I never heard since) wrote racist comments on the website about Jackie and some other wrestlers. You could actually hear the bricks fall out the boy's asses.

2. The sister of Linda Lovelace. She hung up on them before they even began talking to her because she heard Ant mention her deep throating abilities while she was on hold.

What about the guy from Hogans Heroes, you know the gay french chef, that was pretty cringe.

The show resumes and the boys bring back the cringe game "Has-been corner" starring in today's episode is: The French Robert Clary of Hogan's heroes. Who? I didn't know either. Anyway, it just so happens he is on the show trying to sell a book (elbow, elbow, chuckle, chuckle). So as the good cop Anthony begins to try to have a civil interview with the man, the childish bad cop Opie decides he's going to play sound clips leaning towards the fact that Robert Clary is a big French fag. Tempers begin to flare as Opie keeps going with the sounds, although Anthony is trying to ease the tension. Finally Mr. Clary has had enough and hung up to the cringing, laughter, and joy of millions. After all the laughing, Opie decides to offer Rick a C-note if he can get Mr. Clary back on the phone. As always Rick comes through and Anthony tries his hand at coaxing the guy back into talking about his book again. It works and the guy goes into his book and how he was born in 1926 (As Opie starts a game of Ping-Pong) and in 1939 when WWII started him, his friends, and his family were brought to concentration camps. Are you ready to cringe? (Sounds of Hitler giving his speech at the opening of the Berlin Olympics in 1936 start playing) All you heard was an "Oh" and a dial tone. Uncontrollable laughter filled the studio, as Anthony starts freaking. He was saying that it was the worst thing Opie has ever done. I am in agreement with Ant on this one, it was definitely the worst, but at the same time the funniest thing Opie has ever done. He caught a lot of people off guard. It was classic.

Damn, that shit was terrible! I don't know if it's the worst, but it's the only thing I can think of that still makes me cringe. Classic!

I know that this is an old thread, but I was listening to some older (pre-syn maybe???) stuff and came across a classic cringe moment, that for some reason was left out. The only reason that I am bringing this up is I think that it was the Ultimate in Cringe...

Remember when Opie told the 3 yr old kid that his old man was santa claus??? That was cringe, man... F'n brutal, but hilarious.

The scene set-up up like this the bbbbboys, where talking about x-mas and how santa is fake and x-mas is B.S. Well this guy calls in to tell them that they shouldn't say things like that on the radio because he was listening to the show with his kid and had to shut it off because he didn't want his kid to know about Santa.

So, the guys apologize and say that they want to apologize to the kid, and ask the dude to put him on the phone. The guy is skeptical at 1st, but Opie eventually convinces the guy to but his son on the phone. Then in what seems like the longest 10 - 15 seconds ever, you hear the guy turn to his son and say "there is someone on the phone that wants to talk to you" the kid is naturally shy and the father says that it is the guys from the radio. The kid takes the phone where the following exchange takes place...

<kid> Hello...
<opie> Billy...
<kid> yes...
<opie> your dad is Santa Claus...
<kid> Noooo...<click>

I almost drive off the road every time I hear that bit, and every time I get to the point where the father gives the phone to his kid I am screaming... "No... Don't do it... Don't give the phone to your son..." but he does it... every blessed time he gives his kid the phone...

Ahhh, maybe one of these times he'll smarten up...

You get what you deserve... TOOL!!!!

The way I define cringe is, if it makes me feel really bad for the person and I can't take listening to the show anymore because I wanna stab whoever is playing bad cop, usually Opie.

The one and only time I absolutely hated the boys was the Stalker Patti "Take the Wig, Rick" incident. I felt so bad for her. I couldn't stop thinking about her reaction...

"But I dudn't dew anytheeeung..."

Now, I laugh my ass off every time I hear the bit. Opie's such a badass.

The 2 that still make me cringe when i listen to them are
1-Stalker Patti Dewigged
2-The Rock interview

there are other good cringe moments, but these 2 were real cringe. The Rock interview was a good one cause it was so unplanned. You could feel the tension in the studio.

Ah yes, the immortal Irene -- the one titted senior citizen. I absolutely love that clip and the one where she called back to tell Norton that she had a biopsy and if it was cancerous, she was going to send her diseased breast to him. The cringe moments were always the best...it's hard to pick a favorite. Seems like "Speed Reader, Howie Berg" was left unmentioned. That's a classic clip as well.

I must agree that Opie stealing Fattie's wig is one of the greatest moments in radio history, but as for my favorite, the day that OnA hung up on Don Geronimo 4 times has to be one of the best! That fat ass got what he deserved! Oh, and the CBS Radio guy one too... any bit that brings Nambla into it is AOK with me!

my husband and I are split on our favorite. So we have 2.

1) Every call with Tommie, the Ben Stein fan club president. Especially when they were asking Tommie if "it" was a man or a woman.

2) The time Spaz and Stinky did the BBC interview as O & A. Stinky's Dice impression... priceless!

Then the next day when they put that song together with clips from the previous day's episode .. absolutly priceless ... the best damn radio ever.
