Yesterday my mom called, and said that she was dropping of a box of stuff that was in my grandmothers attic. It was a box of items that I had stored there when I moved out of my mom's and into my apt. I forgot all about it really.

So she dropped it off and I started sifting through it. I found all kids of stuff in there.

I found my old bowl (marijuana pipe, or whatever it is called these days), and a pack of EZ-Wider papers.

Some pottery that I had made in High School. Some football, and baseball cards.

A really embarrasing photo from my youth. Stupid haircut, and metal t-shirt.

Then I found a couple of cassettes in the bottom. I popped them in, and they were mostly mix tapes. Tapes with Overkill, Metallica, Megadeth, Testament, SOD, Vio-Lence, Slayer, etc... Thrash bands from back in the day.

Then I came across another one, and I had completely forgotten about the band.

It was Leatherwolf and it was the Street Ready album. I was afraid to play it, because I remember really liking it back in the day, and I didn't want to ruin my memories of it if it didn't hold up.

Well I played it, and it brought back so many damn memories. My wife and I used to listen to it constantly when I got my first car (yeah we dated in High School).

They were a really good band, but got lumped into the glam scene, which I thought was unfair.

Sorry for the long post, but figured I would post since it was on my mind.

I just went and picked up a footlocker of old shit from my parents attic...low and behold it was full of baseball/football cards.
I miss those days....when a pack of cards was $.50 and the cards were actually worth a shit.
Last pack of cards I bought was in 1996 and it was $3 for like 8 cards.

Did a voice inside your head say, "Don't look back, you can never look back."?

Those old metal cassettes bring back memories. I found an old bootleg of Judas Priest I made when they were on their Turbo tour back in 84. Shit album. Great concert. Dokken opened for them.

"Breakin the chaaaaains"

Did ya?

God what tools we were.

I found some old pron tapes I had duped onto VCR Beta tapes back in like 1983. I dug out an old Beta machine we had in the storeroom of the A/V shop I was working for at the time, and checked them out... to see what did it for me back then.

A bunch of chicks with big 80's hair and full Earth mama muffs. No butt play, no choking, no ATM. It wasn't enough to even give me a semi.

I've become so jaded and numb. Damn interwebs pron.

I actually have an autographed vinyl copy of that album that I won along with some tickets to another show when it came out. I used to win shit like this all the time.

BTW - did you by any chance go to their website? I'd actually like to see them now given the lineup:

Wade Black (ex Crimson Glory/Seven Witches) - vocals
Eric Halpern (ex Helstar/Destiny's End) - guitar
Pete Perez (Riot) - Bass

Yeah, I went to the site when I found it. I saw that they have a new cd out. Thought about downloading it, but never got around to it.
