Yesterday my mom called, and said that she was dropping of a box of stuff that was in my grandmothers attic. It was a box of items that I had stored there when I moved out of my mom's and into my apt. I forgot all about it really.
So she dropped it off and I started sifting through it. I found all kids of stuff in there.
I found my old bowl (marijuana pipe, or whatever it is called these days), and a pack of EZ-Wider papers.
Some pottery that I had made in High School. Some football, and baseball cards.
A really embarrasing photo from my youth. Stupid haircut, and metal t-shirt.
Then I found a couple of cassettes in the bottom. I popped them in, and they were mostly mix tapes. Tapes with Overkill, Metallica, Megadeth, Testament, SOD, Vio-Lence, Slayer, etc... Thrash bands from back in the day.
Then I came across another one, and I had completely forgotten about the band.
It was Leatherwolf and it was the Street Ready album. I was afraid to play it, because I remember really liking it back in the day, and I didn't want to ruin my memories of it if it didn't hold up.
Well I played it, and it brought back so many damn memories. My wife and I used to listen to it constantly when I got my first car (yeah we dated in High School).
They were a really good band, but got lumped into the glam scene, which I thought was unfair.
Sorry for the long post, but figured I would post since it was on my mind.
