Raunch = Big Business. The PNC Bank Arts Center recently announced that "Opie & Anthony's Traveling Virus" — starring radio bad boys Opie & Anthony heard locally every morning on 92.3 Free FM — is "officially the best-selling comedy show in the 39-year history of the venue." They've edged out a previous record set by "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno.
A kind of Ozzfest for comedy, "Traveling Virus" features a gaggle of today's top cutting-edge comics, including the likes of Carlos Mencia, Bob Saget and Tracy Morgan. But there's more to it then just a bunch of guys doing stand-up. Pay a visit to "O and A Village," where ticketholders will be able to experience a human petting zoo featuring show regulars Stalker Patti, Big A and Pat from Moonachie. And you won't want to miss the "drown the clown" booth. Looking for a free massage from a woman dressed as a nurse? Step right this way!
Opie & Anthony's Traveling Virus infects the PNC Bank Arts Center Saturday night. The show also features Jim Norton, Bob Kelly, Bill Burr, Patrice O'Neal, Rich Vos, Tracy Morgan and Otto and George.
Tickets are $39.50 and $65.50; doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the show at 7 p.m. The Arts Center is at Exit 116 of the Garden State Parkway, Holmdel. Call (732) 203-2500 and see Friday's Jersey Alive! for more about the show.
