Lots of them at work here, but if I wore caucasian casual clothing, I'd be called out ASAP. Add the stiff kerchif creation the PR's sport on an on/off basis. The gangsta look is beyond played out already, move on!

I saw this and had to share a story about last night. Me and my friend pull up to a 7-Eleven to get some brews. While I am in the parking lot at least 10 white guys wearing jerseys that say "Dirty South" or "Dirty Dirty" or "Enyce" which are hanging down to their knees to the point where it is a dress and not a shirt. Whats worse than the fact that all their shirts combined had a retail value worth more than my car (which Im sure were NOT paid for) is their girlfriends. These slutty, STD-buffet worthless nothings hang out with these waste of sperm and get pregnant which leads to more welfare in which they can buy more dew rags.

I currently take orders for Optomitrists, with potential to move to management, but in the warehouse we have the gangsta folk dressed up to the gangsta best. Even a few people in the office look like (and smell) as if they walked off an inner city basketball court. I could understand the warehouse folk not wearing their Sunday best, but they're sporting the expensive gangsta duds along with the glitzy faux jewelry, walking all bad as if they took a dump just to hand a packet to someone that's ready to ship.

I grew up in the South Bronx in the 80's and saw that shit develope from the Lee jeans and Le Tigre shirts with the Kangol hats to the BVD's tank top over the T-shirt and pinstripe Lee jeans...then two tone Lee jeans Adidas shell top or Pumas with the fat laces Gazel glasses (basic RUN DMC look).

I would only wear Levi's and basic T-shirt with simple Nike Ace '83.

What about the look progressing to Fila sneakers and Vasco, Troop, or AJ jeans and Saucony (Spot Built) sneakers and V bomber jackets.

I remember all this shit only cause I lived around it.

This particular trend seems to have been around the longest, and it appears as if it will not die out. Usually, a more stupid trend supercedes it, can you imagine what that would be like? I knew we were in trouble because I saw a negro fella on the packet of the stocking cap instead of an old broad or no image, and he wasn't smiling.

I'm far from trendy, and wouldn't wear anything close to this even if I liked it because its impractical. How the hell can you walk straight ion baggy crap like that? I only wish these faux gangstas would spend the afternoon in Riker's, they'd change their tune quick.

I've always wondered about "style." I hardly watch TV (SG-1, Atl, BSG, and Souf Park are the only shows I watch regularly), and I NEVER watch MTV (or whatever they call it now), so how would I know what's in style? It's just a hypothetical, I really don't care (hoo hoo). I'm with PBF on this one, but I don't do it out of a concious desire not to conform, I just don't have any desire to go out of my way to conform. Am I making myself clear?

On another note, the lingo is killing me. Where I work there are alot of these types in which I have no problem with. They are always throwing around the "N" word all over...fine. But they do it in front of customers. Which are ususally families with kids. Way to make the place look good. It's one thing to talk like that in the locker room or on the way out, fine. There's a time and place but not in front of the customers. Then when the customers complain the management comes down on all of us, not just the idiots(don't wanna be racial profiling!).
Just irratating sometimes.....

Ona funny note the New York Daily news had an article about those clothing styles. The best part was that they described the big oversized T-shirts in one phrase: A DRESS!!

I also like the fact that when you have a really humid day, the kind where you take a drink of cold water and you could feel the cold liquid go to your stomach and your system in an instant before you sweat it out, the kind of heat that was responsible for the great week long power loss in Astoria, that kind of heat, you see these losers still wearing the stocking cap, stretched tight, despite the repeated warnings not to over exert oneself by the media. Maybe there's nothing to worry about because there's nothing under the cap to fry......?

That always kills me too. I don't work with wiggers, but I've worked in different environments over the years. You have to act professionally in front of customers. They don't want to hear you continue your filthy story about some whore you banged or hear you curse up a storm. They want prompt, friendly service and they want to leave. The same thing YOU want while you're waiting on another person to do a job for you.

I HATE asshole people who can't tell the difference between "Storefront" talk and "In the backroom" talk.

I've started to see recently the fucking wiggers, knitters and "proud" Puerto Ricans wearing the MLB monickered hats that don't have bills. WTF? That's the absolute worse fucking thing I've ever seen. They should put a fucking plastic propeller on top.

The "proud" Puerto Ricans warrant a separate FU of their own. While driving home yesterday, one was behind me (how did I know he was Puerto Rican? Because of the massive flag hanging from his rear view mirror, of course....) and he was blaring music at a volume that will probably render him deaf in another two and a half weeks. What schooling or job he was returning from or going to is beyond me, dressed the way he was along with the faux glitzy jewelry, the loud gold-ish chains and big crucifix done in some cheapo metal that it could only offend Jesus himself. And how he managed to afford the sound system, let alone the car and clothes, also escapes me.

I also like the fact tat these cretins think that they are so individualistic and don't see the herd mentality that they all so willingly ascribe to, dressing the same way that you see more variety amongst the troops serving in Iraq, who arrange their BDU's and gear so its different from one person to the next. I can only surmise that some father/uncle/older brother in prison devised a scheme for them all to wear the baggiest, cheapest shit that's available so that one day he could just walk out the front door and blend into society unnoticed while the search is on for him.

Well you have to try to remember that if they are so "Proud" to be Puerto rican and stuff then what the fuck are they doing here? Were they persecuted in their homeland? Genocide maybe? Political instabilty? Famine?
No, they are fucking poor there and realize they can live a better life being poor in the continental US with all the government handouts available.

I know some people who are Puerto Rican and they are proud of their heritage yet they work hard and try to make something better of themselves and not dress all stupid with the lingo and the "Scarface" shirts(wasn't he Cuban?). They are a rare few and are ok in my book.

I went to Jamaica and met numerous PR families on vacation there. Ill admit when i first saw them I was like "WTF they really are everywhere". Here in Massachusettes the vast majority of PRs are sum bag welfare whores. The true PRs I met on vaca explained that Puerto Rico does not take care of the losers and lazy like the US does. It keeps thier streets clean and communities safe. If we didnt hand them a check every month for being nothing but baby producing, 1986 toyota corolla rust bucket pimp riding, so proud to be PR but not proud enough to go back because thier kind is not wanted assholes, they would go somewhere else other than crowding our streets stealing everything in sight.
