First of all - loved the show But here is my order way different than the first guy:
1-Mencia
2-Bob Kelly
3-Jimmy
4-Saget
5-Otto and George
6-Burr
7-Patrice
8-Morgan
Looks like Im a racist or am I just racial.
Vos was pretty good too as host, poor patty - I have no problem with her pain for our gain.
The boys were the boys - never gonna say anything negative there. Andrew Dice Gay seems to have a grudge against Andrew Dice Clay.
Great time - would go to the next one if it wasnt my wedding day.
I was near the front - turned around at one point - damn - a crowd like that is a thing to see. Amazing.

I'm surprised to see such positive reviews for Mencia..
Mencia did his usual schtick. Went right for the 'racial angle' and made sure to drop the 'beaner' about a dozen times in the 7 minutes that I actually listened. He started to get boo'ed and seemed to pull through it ok, but I was already on my way out.

stayed for mencia despite huge urge to walk out... that must of been tough, and i really have no idea why he was closing the show, it should have been jimmy... he did save himself tho, his last gag as a non-racial blowjob joke... and it was pretty funny. so my order would be
1. Jimmy
2. Burr
3. Vos
4. Patrice
5. Bob Kelly
6. Saget (sorry, once the shock wears off, its not as good)
7. Mencia
8. Otto and George

Dont get me wrong I love Jimmy would put him #1 but i heard alot of his act on the tonight show and it took a little away for me.
My favorite joke of the entire night was bob kelly and the midget.
I wish there was more of a DVD or CD selection - not just shirts.

1. Otto and George - Havent seen them before, great way to start
2. PAtrice Oneal - i just love evrything about Patrice, especially that he really hates us and doesnt appreciate shit. just for the sake of not wanting to be indebted. Greats tuff about kicking out races after started slow. peopel went nuts when he came on.
3. Vos - He was a great host and should have just performed. NEw stuff
4. Bill Burr - always very funny, great insight. always new material mixed in.
5. Robert Kelly - Had heard alot of his act before, some new stuff put up front and I cant wait to see him with a whole new act next year.
6. Jimmy Norton - Had seen 90% of the stuff. didnt think he did as well as I would have thought. Not his fault. Think alot of peopel had heard his stuff.
7. Tracy Morgan - Funny guy, odd delivery
8. Saget - Great just seeing Danny tanner. Alot of pop culture sayings, verbal diarhea. didnt love any of it except the coulier stuff. think he said he had to leave early, so no signing
9. Carlos Mencia - Had seen 95% of it before. Great comedian, killed. Just end of long night alot of stuff hit already. good enough to sign afterwards even though he is a huge star. seemed to draw some of his fans. got booed early. got possibly loudest applause.
Opie is just the best with fans. Big thanks to him if he is reading. Saw Ant's girlfriend talking to patrice's brittish friend from the strap on video(keep her the fuck away ant), but didnt see ant. sure he was there though signing/ Dice gay was done real well. Right time devoted to it. O&A drivign around on golf cart before hand was cool to see before show. Loved the cringe waititng for what they were gunna do to patty. not the huuuuge reaction i though O&A would get or Jimmy

I think everyone was great except Tracy Morgan. I also walked out on Mencia. I did hear most of his act on the way out, and anyone who said he was the best is either being silly on purpose, or well, I'll just assume you're all kidding. No comedian who drives almost half the crowd out of a venue could be considered the best of the night.

Wasnt the best, he did win most over. also the crowd was biased toward him cause of the stuff said abouthim in the past. Everyone left during tracy morgan last time the only person who could have kept them would be jimmy

I'd agree with you about Tracy Morgan. I like some of the stuff he does, but not his stand-up. It just didn't fit. I had to sit through Mencia's one joke over and over, since my friend wanted to see him. Great show. Bob Kelly was great, and I think I'm becoming a fan of his between tonight's show, and Tourgasm. I used to hate his annoying ass laugh whenever he was on. No Patrice CD's damn it! :icon_mad: I asked Otto to sign his CD that I bought, and he looked surprised. :) He was trapped at the end of the signature line with Vos and Bonnie.
I took a lot of video and audio, but I'll have to see how it came out tomorrow. I don't have anywhere to host stuff though, so if it came out, I might need someone to give me a hand with that.
$13.25 for two bottles of soda and two cookies!!! :icon_evil
A tip for Bob Saget. Don't mention the intermission during your set. Everybody started pouring out when he did that, and he wasn't even close to being done.

MENCIA was the best and i think anybody who walked out of mencia's act is a DEE DEE DEE! He was amazing, u just gotta be fine about laughing about other races, simply in his words "you gotta be a man". And i agree with him and im not being stupid, at least he talks about things people want to talk about but too scared cause racial issues r hard to talk about. No offense, but all the other comedians kept talking about sexual issues, which were funny but not as funny as racial issues. Great concert simply and the pole dancers were my favorite party

the funniest thing about mencia is the fact that he had the exact same line as billy burr did two sets before him..
fcuking idiot, way to remove the men-stealya label
he was better than i thought he would be, and the blowjob thing he ended with saved him.. but he should have been in the first half of the show and bob kelly should have been in the second..

We were trying to pick a favorite on the way home and just couldn't do it, so I can't put them in any order. I had a fantastic time tonight, though. My only regret is that we didn't leave the house early enough to catch the pest tailgate party. I would have liked to see you guys. I was so happy to see how huge the crowd was. Absolutely amazing. The only downside was the extremely unfunny douche behind us who was heckling the whole time...like anyone on stage was going to hear him on the lawn.
1.Patrice - He did great, but I wish they would have let him go a bit longer....and what the fuck was he drinking !?
2. MENCIA - We thought about walking out, but gave him a chance to win us over, and he fucking killed ! He made me laugh hard when I didn't expect to.
3. Jimmy - I also have heard most of his act, but still funny
4. Kelly - Bobby was great with the fat guy humor, very funny
5-a. Burr - When bill was on, some jack-offs were talking behind us, so that took away from his set, also I call Bravo Serria. Burr said he was dating his girl for two years, didn't he break up a few monthes ago and was crying about it on the show?? It kinda threw me a bit.
65-b. Otto and George - Funny as hell
7. Saget - Disappointed. He was funny, but I really thought he'd be funnier. And saying that he was the last act of the 1st half hurt him.
8. Morgan - Funny....at times, but out of everyone he was the least funny of the night.
Opie and Anthony and the rest of them (Except Saget) stayed and took pictures and signed shit to well after midnight. Great guys for doing that for their fans.

the show was awesome
unfortunately, the long security line caused us to miss Otto & George, and got my friend and I into the venue a few minutes after Tracy Morgan started. btw., Tracy Morgan did a pretty funny set - not nearly deserving of the heat he's been catching here - but his biggest problem is that he's borderline incoherent.
Norton, Patrice and Menica were far and away the best of the night. I've been a huge fan of Norton for several years, and I've sort of fallen in love with Patrice since the switch to XM, but Mencia really blew me away. When I saw him perform about four years ago his set did absolutely nothing for me, and I don't think I've ever seen an episode of Mind of Menica. Plus, I always thought he's been shit when on with O&A. His set tonight, however, was just ridiculous. It started out with the crowd really getting on his case, with tons of Rogan mentions, and heckling. After a while, the dude totally won the place over. Got huge cheers and really really killed. Pretty impressive.

I wouldn't say he won the place over. All the people who really hated him cleared out by the middle of his set. They started leaving as soon as Jimmy finished. As for Mind of Mencia, it won't take you long to catch up on it. Just watch one episode, and you'll hear all of his material. No need to watch the same two jokes over and over, week after week. De De Dee! [Check] Beaner. [Check] That's all he has folks.

The only reason I have Jimmy at #2 is because it's Jimmy. I know alot of his material so it wasn't... as funny as it was to pretty much everyone around me. I knew Patrice was going to kill and he did. But Bob Kelly REALLY fucking suprised me, I was in pain I was laughing so hard.
It's really hard to rate these guys though because they all did a pretty good job. I was starting to get disappointed with Burr and Morgan but they really picked up at the end.
I didn't rate Mencia because I didn't stick around for him. Not because I didn't like him but I really didn't want to deal with the clusterfuck of traffic after him and it was starting to get wet in the lawn area.
Next time I won't hesitate to get real fucking seats that's for sure.

Tough list to make...
1. Jimmy Norton
2. Bob Kelly
3. Patrice
4. Otto and George
5. Bob Saget
6. Bill Burr
7. Carlos Mencia
8. Tracy Morgan
I think in this case, with the exception of Tracy Morgan, 1-7 is a pretty close list for me. Morgan was good but he started off too slow and picked up steam about 3/4ths into his act and finished okay. Mencia wasn't that bad. His set looked more like a rally at times than a comedy show, designed more for a fist pump than a laugh, but the blow job bit with the mic was hysterical. I thought Patrice started off real slow but picked up his steam pretty quickly. Jimmy slayed, plain and simple. I think I can understand why Mencia would headline but not for an O&A show. If this was Jimmy's choice that Mencia headline, bad move. Jimmy's the perfect headliner for this particular gig. Otto and George, perfect first act ("big stankin' poosahhh!!!").
Random musings...
The O&A Village: A lot of fun but a fairly small space for everything that was going on. Drown the Clown with the inflatable doll and some huge, blow up cock, that guy was great. Didn't get near the two free games to play but did get my XM WOW sticker.
The Patti thing: My brother in law thought they were gonna look to cut her hair. I don't think it was designed to be funny so much as it was to be yet ANOTHER cruel prank on Patti. Poor girl keeps setting herself up for that shit. :)
Nothing like seeing Opie, Anthony, and Jim Norton cruising the lot on carts...with Jimmy hanging onto the back, his ass hanging out of his pants.
And really I hope the boys do see this because of all of the concert money I spent this summer, the baseball money I spent, this was the most expensive ticket I bought all year (the 60 dollar tickets) but worth every single penny. Top notch and well done from top to bottom. Best summer night out this year. Thanks boys!

I didn't see Tracy Morgan. No interest, so I took a bathroom and a burger break. Didn't see Mencia. I don't think he's funny. In all honesty, I think either Saget or Jimmy should've closed. Since it was an O&A show, doesn't it make sense for Jimmy to friggin' close?!! Everyone is there to really see him, he got the biggest reaction! Anyway, from what I saw, my favorites were:
1. Bob Kelly
2. Patrice - usually not a fan of his when he's on the show, but he was just too damn funny!!
3. Jimmy
4. Otto and George
5. Saget
6. Bill Burr - just didn't think he was funny.
I didn't put Vos in the list because of him being a host, but he was funny whenever he was on stage!

I agree with Bob that Saget should have closed though Mencia had a lot of energy which was also a great way to close the show.
I've seen all of these guys with the exception of Saget and Bob Kelly in the last year so a lot of the material was familiar but they all still did well. Bestest was Saget, worstest was Morgan.
WhipperWhip
08-27-2006, 10:49 AM
I thought everyone was "on"...Tracey was good, Otto & George, Saget were all very good considering a few ppl shit on them on here.
Now Mencia gets his share of "I just don't like him" hate on here and YES, A few ppl left before he came on and YES Jimmy should be the closer BUT...
He killed. One person did boo him and Menica went right after him, made his point, and started to win the crowd. Everybody in my section was cheering him on by the end of the show and gave him a standing O (I'm talk at least 100-200 ppl near me that I could see). I mean the man seemed energized by the naysayers and out to prove them wrong. He got on fire.
So with all the negative Mencia talk (which was going on prior to this show on theis board), he did close out the show on a high note and did kill, and I would dare say he won over a crowd that was ready to "sit on their hands". That is the truth.
Now I can't honestly put up a list cause I enjoyed the whole show top to bottom. I got what I paid for and that fact that all the guys appricate the fans and showed it through the whole event, I have ZERO complaints and no list...they all kicked ass.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rich Vos – MC for the night. Hard to do crowd work at an arena but he pulled it off. I really couldn’t see him doing a set in the middle cause he’s too good as the MC. Great job.
Otto and George – good opener. Classic stuff like how black people say pussaaah and their JFK bit. Their references slayed me. “Look at all you Katrina victims with lawn seats.” Nice shit.
Tracy Morgan – a lot of people are hammering him saying he sucked. He wasn’t all that great but I think it was the environment mostly. His stuff was mostly visual which is hard to do at the PNC. Material mostly consisted of porno and Michael Jackson jokes. His “**** game” with his wife bit is genius. He also says motherfucker ever other word. In a club I’m sure it would have been a lot better.
Robert Kelly – probably shocked most people. I’ve seen Bob plenty to know how good he is but the crowd LOVED him. Even if it was some old material, he always changes it around and makes it new. I fucking love his video game bit every time he does it. He was on fire the whole time he was up there. Mr. Kelly, you are the man.
Bob Saget – he’s definitely not a god like some people think he is at stand up, but he’s really funny. The Full House jokes were good at first but got old. His bits on the Half Baked line and his thoughts on some phrases were phenomenal. The guitar, while being gimmicky, was well done. Overall he was great.
*Intermission* Dru Boogie was spinning during this time and in between some of the comics. Just awesome.
Anthony doing Dice Gay –   Anthony rules.
Patrice O’Neal – set of the night. Yes, better then Jimmy. Patrice had ALL new material, amazing crowd work, and a hell of a stage presence. His “send the races back” and “fast food trying to kill niggas” are god-like. O’Neal just killed the whole set. He should be world famous, that’s how great he is. Brav-fucking-o.
Bill Burr – had a bunch of new material. He was good, but it was really hard to follow Patrice, and then go on before Norton. Not the best I’ve seen but I think it was due to the surroundings. Definitely funny but I was still catching my breath from Patrice.
Jim Norton – what do you think? He slayed. He could have just stood there and everyone would have given him a standing ovation. Why he didn’t headline is beyond me.
Carlos Mencia – I only stayed for about 15 minutes cause I wanted to beat the traffic. All racial material. I hate the “some of you white guys are like ‘oh no, that’s racist’ white guilt blah blah blah”. EVERYONE was dying during Patrice’s set and he has the balls to say we don’t laugh at black jokes. I can see why people like him, though. Mencia’s material isn’t really jokes, it’s preaching. He has a ton of energy and presents himself as being a passionate guy who feels strongly about what he’s saying. But I like comedy for laughter. Sorry Carlos; I’m not here to think and go “wow, white people do hold down beaners”. In a club environment, I’m sure he gets standing ovations; but at an O&A event after Norton, no one cares. Again, why didn’t Jim headline?
I hope they release the events on DVD and have backstage extras and stuff. It was too damn good for everyone not to see it. Overall A+ show. Absolutely one hell of a night.

Here is my list...
1) Patrice (short set, but consistently funny)
2) Mencia (didn't want to like him, but I did.... "A-")
3) Bobby (Real comfortable in front of a big crowd and it showed)
4) Jimmy (3rd time seeing him live... 3rd time heard the Ron Jeremy story)
5) Vos (The funnier of the 2 jews)
6) Otto and George (Hard to hear, but good overall)
7) Bob Saget (full house shit was tired.. bounced back with songs)
8) Bill Burr (Material iffy... poor performance IMHO)
9) Tracy Morgan (Perfect for long piss and beer run)
Tailgate was excellent, Op Ant and Jimmy hangin out w/the crowd was great,
fat chicks showing their tits for a bottle of beer, always appreciated.

It was packed and the tailgaiting was great. I was there around 3 and the lots were already pretty full. Food, beer, WOWing, shots. Everyone giving away beers and food. Good shit. I was pretty fucked before the show even started.
The seats were full by the time otto and george were done.

I've neve seen Otto and George before the puppet fucking killed. Great way to start the show. Only comedian which I thought was eh ok was Bill Burr. He had some funny moments. Which annoys me I didn't laugh more because I love the guy on the show.
Everybody for the most part killed i'm not going to put them in any list.

I've read some mixed reviews on Burr, but I can assure you his standup is brilliant.. He might have just had an off night, or the crowd might have been a little off due to Patrice killing..
I have to disagree with the Mencia hating.
I REALLY thought he was going to suck, thought about leaving early, but wanted to get to meet the guys after the show. He won the crowd over and killed !! The fucking guy reached into his pants, rubbed his balls and sniffed them !! Funny shit !! ...........As I'm writing this....I remember meeeting him afterwards and shaking his fucking left fucking hand.....the ball rubbing hand ! FUCK HIM !! HE SUCKS !!!

Yep, same here. I decided not to have my mind made up for me and to give the guy a chance. He turned it around after a less than auspicious start with all the walkers and ended up killing. Everyone that was left was giving him standing Os. Props to him for not letting it get to him.
I really enjoyed all the comics. It was a pleasure to see all the comic friends of the show in one night.
Oh and Dice Gay was hillarious.

My girl and I really loved the show. Jimmy, of course, was fuckin brilliant, even though we'd already heard most of the stuff at The Stress Factory back in May. I thought that Bob Kelly was great, too, as was Otto and George. Bill Burr and Patrice were really good, too, not really how I felt about Saget (he was funny but his act was kind of strange), Morgan had his moments and we left about five minutes into Mencia to beat the rush out of there. Overall we loved the show and would definitely go again if they do another one next summer.

I have to admit it... as much as I HATE/HATED mencia for years, he really did destroy the show last night. Wow.
I thought he was a hack, a cheap heat getter and not funny, but last night he really killed. Kudos to him. I was, along with many others, absolutely blown away by him. What a phenomenal set. I hate his "punisher" thing and that story.. but I'll have to say.. anyone in the world would've had trouble following him last night. (I also think he came out with the attitude of having something to prove to the OnA fans.)
The show was great and I don't think a ranking would do the show everyone did a phenomenal job and there wasn't a dead spot on the lineup.

4. Vos (great as MC, I really need to get out and see him)

The difference between Worcester and Camden was night and day. The place was packed (more than double the DCU attendance, I believe) and the energy was amazing. Just look at the difference in the reviews-- a lot of that comes from crowd vibe/energy.
When I had circulated through the crowd at DCU (Boston) before the show, it was a bunch of people hanging waiting for a show to being. Same at the Village. Just people wandering around. No vibe whatsoever.
Last night at the PNC, everyone was drunk and well fed, the people on line to get in were all fired up, girls were wowing nonstop, (yes there were TONS of girls EVERYWHERE!!) This one really felt like an O&A event. And still, the crowd was incredibly well behaved according to one of the security personnell after the show.
As much as I loved the show and the fans before last night, I love both even more now. I still can't believe I spent so many years being a fan of the show without ever coming out to events. What was I thinking???????

Overall the show kicked ass!!
Jimmy was amazing; his timing is impecable.
Patrice makes me laugh just walking around, the way he laughs along with his jokes is hysterical. His audience involvement was one of the best parts of the show.
Bobby was funnier than I thought he'd be. I thought he had really original material.
Billy was good but almost looked nervous and seemed to lose himself mid-act.
Tracy was funny but it didn't seem he prepared his act in advance, he seemed to be winging it.
Sagat was too "stream of consciousness" but was funny. He had a very different style than the rest.
Otto and George ruled! They were rude and crude but I think Otto is holding back George's career. lol
Vos is always a great emcee and does great crowd work. He may be a dummy, but he's great on stage. I'm a little disappointed he didn't parade around that piece of ass wife of his on stage.
Overall it was great spending time with other degenerate losers like myself.

I thought the crowd was insane last night. I got there a little after one in the afternoon. There were MAYBE five cars in the lot. About five minutes later it was a stream of cars, like...where the fuck did everyone come from??? By about three or so, the lot was just crazy. What a great time in the lot and in the village. I could've stuck around by the clown all day long. I did get some pictures and even a few of the girl sitting in front of the "Ladies!!!! Come Show Us Your Boobs" sign. I'll try to get 'em uploaded today.
I sooooooo needed that show. For about four hours last night I did nothing but laugh my ass off. With so much stuff going on with me right now, I can't thank the boys enough for putting this together. I think my brother in law, who kind of listened because I had bought him an XM unit telling him to check the show out, became a big fan of the show after last night. I just hope they do it again next year.

Mencia absolutely killed! I was going to leave to beat the rush but decided to stay. After a couple of boos early on, he turned it around. I didn't think I would like him but he was hysterical and got the loudest standing ovation of the night. A lot of people were probably tired by the end but Mencia brought the energy back and had my whole section laughing their asses off.
Not enought Vos. He mc'ed the first half of the show but didn't seem to get enough mic time.
Very impressed with Bob Kelly. Great comic!

I thought this was going to be a typical O&A helmet party but holy shit! there were so many girls there, and cute ones too. I was very impressed with the amount of women at the show. There still were a lot of guys. During the intermission I went to the downstairs bathroom on the right side, there were about 20 guys on line and when I came out the line went up both sides of the staircase. I'm really glad he was part of the show and he killed. Period.
I didn't notice too much of the booing either. Sure a chunk of people left after Norton's set, but there were still a ton of people during Mencia's set. I had no problems with his set. He wasn't the funniest act of the night, but he had the most energy, stage presence, and an ability to keep you focused on him. He didn't waste a second of his time alottment and overall I thought he was really good. I thought everyone was excellent except for Tracy Morgan who I thought was decent at best. He had his moments and gained steam towards the end but I thought he was the weak link of the evening.
Saget's got his shit down to a science. To have the ability to stop a joke partway through, go on two or three tangents, then come BACK to where he left off on the first joke...brilliant. That separated him from every other comic there. Everyone there got up, told their jokes, killed for the most part. Saget's act is just on a different level...not necessarily better, just different. I can see where that type of act might not be for everyone, but I was able to just appreciate this guy's ability to do what he does and do it so fucking well.
Norton slayed, plain and simple. No other words to describe. Jim Norton fucking slayed. Maybe it was just me, maybe it's being in front of a huge O&A crowd, but Norton seemed more "at home" than anybody else onstage last night. Almost like he knew that no matter what, this crowd was going to love the guy. Norton fucking killed.

I'll admit it, I considered leaving Mencia, but anyone who heckled him or said shit about him was definitely proven wrong. (Myself included, I really despised Mencia until yesterday, I still think the Punisher shit is hack.)
I felt bad for Bill because he wasn't knocking them out of the park, but I thought his set was good and he got sandwiched between two comedians whose material played better to the crowd at the time than his stuff would.
Patrice, I wasn't really big on, but he made me laugh a lot and everyone I was with was really entertained. He did well too, (this is also coming from someone who doesn't like his act at all, he's good on the show, though.)
Jimmy was Jimmy.. he's always good.
Saget was real quickfire and had his moments... but he's like what Ant says about Robin Williams... he says a lot of stuff quickly and hope something is funny. He had some great spots. Entertained, especially since I hadn't seen his act since the 80's before Full House.
Otto and George was great, but stuck as a curtain jerker... did well, but you need to see him in a more intimate setting to get into his flow. I'm a big fan of his, so what the fuck do I know?
Tracy Morgan was good, no complaints.
Bob Kelly was probably the dark horse of the night. A lot of people have never seen him live, much less more than 30 seconds of his act from tourgasm and he just D-E-S-T-R-O-Y-E-D. The best set I've ever seen him do. If anyone has a chance to get huge in the next year or so out of comedy into a mainstream audience, I think Bob Kelly is it. His charisma and energy really took the crowd by surprise who most (from hearing people around me talk) knew as "the sink fucker" or "that mean guy from tourgasm". Bob is really really really talented and I think this tour and tourgasm is a real spring board for him.

The show was f'n great. I missed Otto and George and walked in as they were introducing tracy Morgan. Didn't really care for his set.
1. Carlos Mencia killed. I was is the BACK of the 402 section, the gate blocking you "Lawn People" (el-oh-el) was right behind me. When Mencia got on the stage it seemed like a huge chunk of people started walking out. When he started his set there was a lot of boo-ing and i heard a couple of "Mencia Sucks!" By the middle of his set he had pretty much won the crowd over and when he was done it seemed like half of the remaining crowd gave him a standing "O". He killed.
2. Patrice was great. The get rid of the races bit was funny as hell. "We can keep the Russian sex slave girls but the rest of 'em have to go." F'n great. I heard of the angry pirate before but the spiderman had me in TEARS! Holy crap...funny.
3. 'Lil Jimmy. I don't know why he didn't close the show but that lil perverted bastard was funny as hell. Only reason why he is #3 is because I had heard some of this stuff b-4.
4. Bob Kelly killed. I want my own midget too!
5. Bill Burr - I think he had a bad night. I saw him live at his HBO comedy taping and he killed there. In comparison to last night he just seemed off.
6. Bob Saget. Dave Coulie shaves his balls..eh. I liked his songs at the end of his bit though.
7. Tracy Morgan - he didn't really do it for me.
Didn't see Otto and George so can't give them a #.
I had a great time in the parking lot tailgating. A lot of people trowing a football around. I felt horrible for that guy that got ass ***** by that state trooper for throwing a NERF BALL at the school bus. What the hell was the cop going to charge him with. Assault with a dangerous foam ball. A-hole cop.
Great time all around. Hope the B-B-B-Boys do it again next year.

It really is amazing how different everyone's accounts of the night are, a lot of times depending on where you sat. I was lucky enough to score 13th row tickets off ticketbastard on Thursday and it was a totally different atmosphere up front. It seems like all the die hards got royally screwed out of good seats because I was sitting around a bunch of corpses and empty seats. I literally had about 15-20 empty seats in the rows around me, other than that, the place was fucking packed. I was amazed at how many people were on the lawn (or mud hill).
I had no idea there was anything even going on during Jimmy's set. Sucks that whatever melee happened was a distraction to a lot of people.
Anyway, where I was sitting you could barely make out any booing for Mencia so I'm sure way up on stage he could just about hear them. This might not go over well but it seemed to me that despite all the people who walked out during his act, I really think a lot of people sitting around me were there specifically for him. They went apeshit when he came out and basically were sitting on their hands or heading towards the bathrooms when O&A came out. I was shocked at the lack of response they got.
As far as ranking the performances. I didn't think anyone sucked, however Sagat's brand of humor isn't for me. I get it, you were on Full House. I wish Patrice could have gone out earlier, he seemed a lil' too tipsy and I know he could have killed. I guess I'm getting lame in my old age, but I actually felt bad for Patti last night. I'm such a dope, I really thought they were just being nice to her for all the shit she's done the first few seconds of that whole setup. The people around me didn't know what the fuck was going on. Bob Kelly blew the place away, and despite some of the hate here, I loved Otto & George. Jimmy was brilliant as always. Think Billy Burr should have chosen a different set. Vos killed.
Anyway, this event was just a great way to end the summer and I thank the boys for pulling such an event together. Other than the video glitch, it was like a well run machine, ending 2 minutes before cerfew. I really hope this becomes an annual event.

I was one of those that thought that Mencia would suck and thought about leaving. But I was all the way up on the lawn during the whole show, and instead of leaving I moved down to the gate to get closer because everyone else was leaving. He was funny as shit and got huge reactions on most of his jokes. To all those who left to beat the traffic, why, did you have somewhere you needed to be?. I left at the very end after Big A introduced everyone. Walked to the car and was on the GSP in 5 minutes.

I was apparently there for the whole show, but I only remember Mencia's set somewhat clearly. I never liked him on the show, but he KILLED in his set. People were standing and cheering for him and the crowd was way into him.
With the exception of Tracy Morgan they were all great. I like Norton, Mencia & Otto & George the best, but again they all killed

I agree with you. I'm not a big fan of Mencia. After the first few minutes of his set when he brought up 9/11, my girlfriend and I were close to leaving. We decided to srtick it out, and I'm glad we did. He turned his set around and IMO the fans gave him the largest ovation of the night. I think part of it was in appreciation for the entire show though. Not just Mencia.
As for my review, IMO everyone killed except Morgan and Burr. I didn't expect much from Morgan, but I though Burr would be funnier. He didn't bomb, but his set disappointed me.
