(Parkland, WA) -- The Pierce County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating four suspects who attacked a Washington National Guardsman as he was taking a walk. Spokesman Ed Troyer said the victim was assaulted in broad daylight Tuesday morning along busy Pacific Avenue in Parkland. Troyer said an SUV with four men stopped. When the victim told them he was a member of the military, the suspects got out of the truck and beat and kicked him. He suffered a variety of injuries and was treated at a nearby hospital. Police are offering a one-thousand-dollar reward for the arrests and convictions of the suspects. They are described as white, in their 20s wearing red sweatshirts and baseball caps. The suspect vehicle is a black Chevy Suburban. Anyone with information is asked to call the Pierce County Sheriff or 911.
