I just moved to Manhattan, and I would like to give an FU to myself. I can't find anything to do nor can I find anyone who I would actually want to talk to. My dorm is made up of non English speaking savages, and people from the middle of nowhere who are afraid of the city. I'm not the most outgoing person in the world, but im fucking trying here. And I would also like to say FU to me for bitching like a faggot.

No personal attacks against forum members allowed, and I assume that implies no personal attacks against yourself. I don't know what hobbies or interests you may have, but now is the time to take advantage of them. If its comedy, I'd ask to be a bar back (assistant bartender) or waiter at one of the comedy clubs Jimmy Norton and the friends of the show frequent. You could work your way down the line to something grander. If its movies, or something in that venue, why not an independent movie theater or independent video shop which pays you a few bucks for your time there as you're around people who may have similar interests. Get out of that dorm when all seems wrong with the world, and use the energy that accumulates when you may feel down to be proactive in making yourself happy down the line. I'd use the dorm for what it is, a place to sleep, but make the outside world your adventure ground, no matter how dumb that may sound. Make a schedule which best suits you, and take a dietary supplement like Omega 3 or B12 to give you a boost and keep the negative vibes that accumulate due to the stress of the new situation in check. Take it from someone who wallowed in depression way too long and had little to show for it, you set the bar for where you want to be, and aside from making a living which we all need to do, you are your own judge as to how well you're doing and what you can do to change. Take the advise for what its worth, or discard it if it doesn't suit you, but there's little point in blaming yourself for something that isn't totally 100% your doing.

Seriously, what the fuck? You live in a city where you can go out and there are resturants and all sorts of attractions, I live in a city where you have to drive 7 miles just to get to the Wal-Mart. Just walk around, I am sure you will find a cool bar to have a few drinks in and pick up a girl to bang.

Even our beloved Lil Jimmy Norton has problems with chicks, and he's a stand up/radio/TV/Movie star (A King Of All Media, if you will.....). What the hell hope would there be for those of us without that exposure? Either there are a lot of screwed up spoiled chicks out there or Lil Jimmy and the like are wrong, and I cannot accept that. Its not me dude I've been around the city my whole life. I'm extremely comfortable being here its everyone that I've meet in my dorm. This one chick I met moved back to florida this morning. Then this other girl I've been talking to is trying to convince her parents to let her come back home to Texas. I've basically given up trying to meet people that live in my dorm. I got a job as a bar back at this little place in midtown. The moneys not that good, but the people I work with are cool and the owner is going to let me take off as many nights as I want so I can go to Ranger games. I would like to revoke my FU to myself, and say FU to all the people at my dorm who moved here to sit in there fucking dorm and watch tv.
