>>Trial Begins For Mother Charged In Child Neglect Death
(Port Orchard, WA) -- A 22-year-old woman accused of the neglect death of her 18-month-old baby girl is now on trial for second-degree-murder. The case of Richael Marie Rhoades is being heard by Kitsap County Superior Court Judge Jay Roof who will determine if the young woman understood the consequences of her actions when she stopped caring for baby Brenda and her three-year-old brother last November. Authorities say the baby died around Thanksgiving and Rhoades placed the remains in a box. Her husband notified police on December 12th after returning from submariner duty with the U.S. Navy. The "Kitsap Sun" reports a defense psychologist believes Rhoades was suffering from acute depression and lost interest in parenting. A prosecution psychologist concluded the suspect does have a "significant personality disorder" but not so severe that she couldn't tell right from wrong when she quit caring for the children. The boy survived and is now in foster care. If the woman is convicted, she faces a sentence of up to 18-years in prison. Rhoades has been in the Kitsap County Jail since December and is being held on 500-thousand-dollars bond.
Too depressed to hear a baby cry? Too depressed to pick up the phone? Fuck this cunt.
On another note, how do you prepare neglected baby?
