Is the traveling virus gonna be a yearly thing or is it just this year? I really hope it's a yearly thing, cause I didnt get to go this year and I really wanted to, but I dont drive and fuckin Home Depot never gives me the weekend off. They better have it next year, and I hope if they do that they do a show in Jones Beach.

i wouldn't mind it. the show's are attracting 10,000 people each, and that's after only about 4-5 months back on terrestrial. how many people do you think they'd attract a year from now with all the buzz from this year's shows? has a comedy tour ever sold out a venue? The Annual Traveling Virus Tour just might.

They need to do it agian next year, and do a show in Detroit. they are now all over Michigan now.
Detroit, and surrounding suburbs
Grand Rapids
and now Flint, which will cover Saginaw and Bay City also!

10,000 for comedy is ridiculous, its a huge success, they have to. They better get Colin Quinn for it next time though. Dump Shubart and Menstealia as well.

Shame they couldn't get Bruer too. Fuck Sirius. He'd probably be the best suited for this kind of show.

This seems to be the plan. Yearly. It's been mentioned many times, Op has even said that they won't have a summer at all next year.

No, no, NO! They should do New York again, skip unappreciative Philly (named after a female horse), Boston, PNC Bank Center, and then do New York at least twice.

I hope this becomes an annual tour. I went to PNC & Camden and had the best time. I wish Cleveland was closer to home because I'd love to go again. I only wish there were more tour dates.

why did they have it @ PNC? PNC isnt even in New York. It's in Jersey. if you wanna have a show in ny, have it @ The Garden or Hammerstein or Jones Beach or Randall's Island. That would be great if they could do a tour like ozzfest or warped tour and have like a bunch of different stages and have music and comedy at the same time. that would really be something to see.

Because PNC is the only major amphitheater centrally located for the NY/NJ/PA markets. It was a no brainer to have it at PNC from the get-go. That show works so well outdoors with the Village and all.

i have two words that would undoubtedly make next year's tour bigger than this year's:

Brian Regan

I wholeheartedly agree but I thought they said they asked him but he declined due to the nature of the tour and because he works clean. He thought it wouldn't look good for his "clean" image to do the tour. I won't hold it against him, he's too goddamned funny.

The thing for them to to is get an early start in the spring, hit all the strongholds (Philly, Boston, NY, etc) as well as the new cities (West Palm, Flint, etc) all throughout the spring, summer, and early fall.

i dont get how (no matter how great the comedians) anyone would want to sit through four to six. isnt there some repetition of material? then again how do you do a major tour with just three? unless its norton quinn an regan. or rotate these comedians around norton as the closer in different cities. anybody whose been to one of these, is it too many comedians?

I didn't make it to any shows this year either so if they have a tour next year I plan to be at at LEAST one in the tristate area....I'm in Long Island, so anything in NYC or NJ would be cool...except Randall's Island that friggin' dustbowl of a venue.

Screw you, Phillly became one of the most talked about shows and is one of their best markets.

I went to PNC and Philly. At PNC I felt the material repeted a bit. But overall it was a great show, surpisingly Carlos Mancia killed at the end.
At Philly I had GREAT seats (4th row in the pit, almost dead center)
Jim ShuBOOert had nothing, wish Otto and George would have been in his spot. I laughed hard at both shows, and if I had to pick an overall best experiance, it would be PNC, because the meet and greet felt much more personal. The philly meet and greet was more like a move 'em through as fast as we can.
If they do it again next year, I'll be to at least 1 show, if not more.

i had been anticipating that it's a yearly thing. i think opie said something like "cleveland is the last stop for this year." i hope there's either a different or additional mid-west date from cleveland--maybe detroit, chicago, or the lovely indianapolis.

How about Long Island? This is truly their home. I wanted to see a show but to travel to Jersey was not something I want to do. Maybe next year.

No, no and no!

It's not close enough to be called the NYC venue, and everyone knows it. It's just like the Boston and Philly venues. They weren't actually in those cities.

Now the next time around, they'll have the track record to be able to book the aforementioned venues. Despite what you may think, MSG has enough room to have the village, although Randall's Island or Jones Beach (The Coliseum too) would be better. Dust bowl or not, Randall's Island is th best venue for NYC. It has the room they need.

The problem will be the other cities. The continuous "$10" deals shows that sales weren't as strong, and I worry about next year.

That's the No brainer. Even philly people can come to this one, even though we'd rather not have them there. I see The Dodge (formily know as The Medows Music Theater) being the BEST location in Ct for the tour. I know the guys are on in New London, but that station's signal sucks unclipped cock.

I hope to see Louie Ck join the regulars on the tour.

I was at the PNC show last year and had a fucking great time.

Its gonna be even bigger this year. They need to get a few new big names though.

How about the New Haven Col......oh wait

Seriously though, the Ives Center at West Conn would be a great place to have it. AN outdoor arena, nice lawn area.

Saw BB King there many years ago. But most likely it will be at Mohegan

I was just being simple minded. I didn't even think of the Ives Center. I've seen a few events there and would have to agree. The only problem is that is primerally out doors so if there is bad weather that could be an issue, but I would much rather go to Ives than The Dodge.:icon_mrgr
