haha I was thinking about that as a possibility especially when that caller on friday said something about if burr was reading up about cleveland. Messed up though because he is such a great comedian that has a great set, but you know how people are. They wanted to see if they could induce him to have a philly repeat. I am glad he didnt do what they wanted. Bill burr is awesome.

Crowd tonight sucked.
Patrice came out and there were random boos, but he didn't bite and his act shut them the hell up.
Bill came out after Bob (who fucking killed again) and this douchbag crowd didn't let him get out a full joke. They were all hoping for a repeat of Camden, but Bill told them that he wasn't going to entertain it.
I sat in the front row and there was a guy behind me (sec2 rowB seat 8 or 9) that wouldn't shut the fuck up. Finally Kenny comes and pulls him and his pussy friend out - good job CSK.

I didn't make the Philly show, so I suck. With that out of the way, I'm still pissed at the fans in my area for booing Burr to begin with. Now, it's 'the thing' to do this? Fuck that. Billy Burr fucking rocks and we shouldn't have fucked with him. Now it's a regular thing? Hopefully, this shit will be but a memory when the traveling virus comedy tour returns in 07.
With that said, was there any mention of the diet pepsi/mentos chick from Fridays show? She's still alive, right?

We drove from MD (5 hours), mostly to see Bill Burr. There is only one solution to this problem.
We need to eat our own.
Someone starts that booing shit near you, plant your meat hammer into the side of their bald fat heads. Period.
That is, if Bill ever comes back out. We cheered and stood for Bill but the fuckwads booing always sound louder then those that cheer. I hope Cleveland gets AIDs and dies.
Everyone needs to send Bill some support emails. He was so pissed and hurt he didn't come out on stage at the end when they brought all the comedians out. He did get a standing O though from those of us who didn't just pay 10 bucks for something to do on a Saturday night.

Yeah, hopefully this doesn't become attatched to him, the thing that made it so funny and brilliant was that it was genuine and not planned. Bill has a great act, and it would be a shame if crowds keep doing it. Kind of like the Aries Spears thing in a way.

I was about 12 rows back from front and no one was booing by me. There were moments when more people were booing, but mostly it was a minority of people that just kept doing it.

I'm married, have two kids and rarely get the fuck out of the house, but the next time Bill is in the Philly area, I'm spending my money (okay, have no money, I'm charging it) on tickets to support him.
Philly fans were asses for fucking with Bill. Who gives a shit about Jimmy Shubert. Philly got to boo someone/thing again, whatever. Shouldn't have carried over to Burr. As a life-long Eagles fan (save all the sports bashing for another time), it has always bugged me that Philly has such an inferiority complex to NY. (Well, other than the fact that we have almost no titles and NY crushes us in that department in every sport)
But you know what? It took me 39 years to realize it, but we deserve our fucking rep. Just last week, I went off in another thread, defending Philly fans. Well, fucking North Jersey/New York went to the Traveling Virus show and appreciated it. They respected it, enjoyed it and applauded it. We fucking started a trend ruining it. I can blast Cleveland all I want, but my fucking area started the bullshit.
Opie, Anthony, Jimmy and Billy - I'm only one fan, but I apologize for this bullshit.
I had such a nice buzz going until I started reading about this and now I'm pissed off and sobering up. Is it wrong if I sit here alone doing shots of vodka to get my buzz back?

I attended the show and was really looking forward to Bill Burr's performance. Every comedian slayed and it could have been pulled off flawlessly if it wasn't for the queer boys booing in the cheap ass back row sections. The booing didn't exactly drown out Burr's routine but it was definitely distracting to hear from the stage.
It never entered my mindset before the show that Burr might encounter that kindergarden reaction, but when I look at it now it makes sense. My impression of the booers were drunk ex-highschool jock free FMers along with their entourage who completely don't understand the show or know when to shut the fuck up and listen to brilliant comedy and laugh. Bill wasn't going to appease these faggots and let the audience puppeteer him into the Philly act. Sadly we lost out on a great piece of the show.
Just to let Billy know, I, as a Clevelander, did not respresent the subsection of the preschool audience of booers and fully support him as a comedian and entertainer.
Kudos to Bill and show him some love!

Scagnetti, you raised a couple of interesting points.
1. Maybe the $10 offers should go away. I don't mean to exclude anyone who can't afford the tickets, but focusing on real fans who would sacrifice something to be there may not be a bad idea. Of course, I skipped the Philly show, so my 'real fan' comment may be hypocritical.
2. The FreeFM thing. There are a lot of new fans, who may not know Billy's history with the show and only hear the airplay and attention the Philly booing/Billy destroying us show got. So, they felt this was the thing to do. While FreeFM is a huge and wonderful thing for the boys, there is a learning curve for the show. With that said, there are several new posters in this thread and that is probably thanks to FreeFM.
Screw it. I can't obsess on the fucktardness of booing Billy anymore tonight. I sent him an e-mail apologizing for it.
I need to either go to bed or keep drinking. I think I'll drink and do some online hold em. Anyone have any interest in some late, drunk hold em? I'll play on any site if I have the honor of playing with Wackbaggers.

I should have asked earlier - Was Bill the only one that heard boos? I said I was going to stop obsessing, but it really pisses me off that Bill was treated this way. He was pure gold when he sat in for Jimmy while he taped Lucky Louie and never fails on the show. He should be treated like a show VIP and given the respect he truly deserves.

Burr was the only one I distictively noticed that got a collective round of boos just because the pissheads wanted to see perform a "Philly". They weren't genuine boos, they were fake boos to gout him into trashing Cleveland. The hysterical thing was after the show when all the comedians came back on stage, Bill got the biggest round of applause even though he didn't show back up (Even over Lil' Jimmy"). Good for you Billy!

Yeah, A few asscunts decide they're more importent than the show and make assholes of themselves by booing one of the comics because another city did it and they wanted to be "cool" too. Yup...that is exactly what you described.
Too long? "not meant for a festival type atmosphere"? It works GREAT! It had nothing to do with the length of the show. It was a buch of wanna be goons who thought they could recreate a moment that happened in Philly.
Bill is a great comic and didn't deserve that bullshit at all. I was about 16 rows back in Section 2. Couple Douche bag rednecks 3 rows back were booing Bill. I was so pissed I could scream.
You obviously don't get the show if you're booing Bill.
Why pay $75 (after Ticketmaster Fees) for tickets if your going to be a douchebag and not listen to great Comedy?
The shit that happened with Bill basically ruined the show from there out. Little Jimmy still killed but you can tell that O&A was PISSED and I think they changed what they had scheduled to try to address the situation (for example no Andrew Dice Gay).
I felt especially bad when Bill never showed up for the curtain call.
I will definitely try to see Bill when he comes to Cleveland to see his act since a few shitdicks robbed me of that pleasure and I hope he continues to be a part of the show.
Kid WOW
09-24-2006, 01:48 AM
He was a big reason I bought a ticket (I paid for the 65 Dollar pre-sale show ticket)... well, him and Patrice O'Neal (I've seen the boys, Jim and Vos before). Both of them are great third mics, and we already got a great set from Patrice. It should have been the same for Bill. Instead, we got something else entirely. That's what Cleveland fans are all about, unfortunately... making asses of themselves. I know there's many reasons to be embarrassed for living in this shithole, but this tops matters for me. These are the same fans who never supported the Cleveland Indians until they started to contend a decade ago. The same fans who couldn't have given a flying fuck about the Cavs until they got Lebron James. These are the same fuckers who turned their backs on the Browns, wishing that they'd go the hell away, and when they did, SURPRISE! Now the fans LOVED the team... why, they were die-hard Browns fans that "ALWAYS" supported the team. They were mad at Art Modell because he lied or sold out, or something because he moved the team to Baltimore. The fans do NOT deserve anything in this town. They're very unappreciative... and unoriginal. Fuck Cleveland. :icon_mad:

Bill Burr shouldn't let his relationship with the show be dictated by fucking booing Clevelander Philly wannabes faggots. That would just demonstrate that he's stooping down to their infantile level.
What's important is how Billy is treated by O&A and the staff. To my witness they have shown the utmost respect and support for him. What really matters in life is your family. And if your family treats you with the utmost appreciation and esteem than nothing else in your life that treats you like garbage matters.
I hope Billy will remain a long part of the O&A family of comedians and never let a third party control his emotions and decisions.
I hope everything works out in the end Anthony.

My wife a I drove 5 hours, and spent 65 bucks a piece on the tickets. We were excited to see every comic, as I am sure that none of them will be doing the Funnybone in Huntington WV anytime soon.
After the initial round of boos, we were hoping that it would end.
After a while all I could do was sit there and shake my head.
Oh, and fuck you to the long haired redneck that stood up in front of me the whole show. The asshole was looking for trouble the whole night, and ended up starting a fight at the end of the show.

Bill went on after Bob Kelly (who had the best set of the night) and they started that booing shit at the beginning. Then it let off a little, during this time half the crowd on the section 3 side was watching CSK just tear into this guy about having a camcorder there. Gotta be honest though I wasn't feeling it from Bill though. That crowd was at its highest point when Bobby was out there and I'm sure bill is great when hes not dealing with dumb shit like the few dummies there, but IMHO the crowd wasn't giving him any heat. 99% of that crowd wanted him to do his set.

Indeed. If youre that stupid that you felt that majority of the crowd wasnt being ignorant than you yourself are infact ignorant. Atleast 50% of the people were being douchebags and deserved a swift kick in the cock for how they treated him. I was section 2 F27 and alot of the people around me were disgusted with the assholes in the audience. Way too many you tube faggots were there and thought "hey, i can be cool like these guys did in philly and grab attention," when they really were just annoying as fuck. If the virus comes to cleveland again just send Master po and kenny out to walk around and slap the fuck out of people.
Maybe a shirt should be made that says "Im ashamed to be from Cleveland."
Whats really messed up is we cant blame this on the spooks for once hahaha, fucking cleveland :(

What the fuck, did you think it'd be "cool" or "original" to try and copy what Philly did. What happened in Philly was a spur of the moment response by Bill to a crowd of savages that do what they do best, and kudos to him for ripping them the way he did and killing at the same time. When a couple of waterheads in another city try to do it again it's not original, it's not even funny. Dumb fuckers.

I personally wasn't feeling it when he was trying to do his set. As I said that was probably because the booing threw everything off. He did try to do his set for about 2 minutes and it just wasn't going to happen.

Overall he did only what seemed like 10-15 minutes, seemed shorter. His first intro was with a joke he didn't even finish about how he was with this twat of a girl who said he was homophobic because he gagged when he saw too men passionately kiss unexpectly while he just came back from eating a full lunch, again he never finished the joke.
Then he acknowledged the crowed by there boos and states he isn't going to go into another Philly tirade and just wanted to do his fucking material. And then he got into another joke which again the punch line was never delivered because the fucking crowd of hooligans never let up there boos. So Bill just stated he ain't fucking going to do another Philly and if the boos continue he's just gonna fucking stand up there. He threw a couple punches at Cleveland, but he said he didn't know shit about this city.
So he never even got to tell an entire joke from start to finish of his original material on stage.

- I pretty much have the same feelings everyone else here has. I wanted to see Billy's set, but I knew it wasn't gonna happen cause of the booing situation. I had like four guys to my left booing, but they were drunk and a bit bigger than me, so I wasn't gonna say anything (Sec. 2, row R)
- I got a nice picture of the midget in my album I linked in the photo thread
- The strippers were more attractive from a distance, but hey, I got a picture with them and the blonde was more than willing to WOW for the picture.
- Steve C. really does not change from his on-air persona at all. I asked him for a picture and as well-spoken as he could be and then did a "Oooooooooh!" after the picture was taken, haha
- The Mentos chick was in front of me in the picture/autograph line and she was pretty cool. She is indeed tiny, too; Sonny Forelli came over and picked her up and bench pressed her once or twice
- All in all I had a good time, and I was just thrilled to finally get to meet Lil Jimmy and get a pic with him

I just got back from the show/after party in kent, lol
I was in section 3 row m.... the first boos I heard up to that point in bills set was when CSK hassled that dude in the row in front of me with the camcorder, and they were booing kenny, and not bill, and then a few more booed, but it really wasn't bad, at least from my pov. Billy could've done his set, especially when CSK tossed that guy from the front, section 1? A ton of people cheered the ejection, and I really thought that was his opening to get everyone behind him... and he just stood there and halfheartely played up the philly repeat angle to no end,the crowd was far from totally against him, and if he would've just ignored those few ignorant fucks, he probably could've gotten the crowd behind him and done his set. I really feel kind of sad and cheated over the whole thing. Yes there were assholes booing, but it was nowhere near the entire crowd, and don't think it was anything he couldn't have recovered from.
I'm still sending him an apology, if only for those fuck-o's.
If I ever learn that he just pussed out on his set for whatever reason, i'll never give him another thought. It really seemed (TO ME) like he wasn't trying to do his set. Whether he was worried about a philly repeat or notl, he did say that he didn't have to come to this show, and it really showed, imo.
All in all, a half assed crowd, and a what seemed to be a less then enthused bill, didn't make for a good combo.

I was at the show last night and I dont think it was a case of the "Cleveland Fans" trying to be like Philly. What happened in Philly was a great moment, no doubt about it. What made it great was the fact that out of all the comics on the show, Bill is the "nice guy". The one you wouldnt expect that from so when it does happen its an awesome thing to see. Cleveland kinda enjoys being shit on. Bill could have continued his set, the boos werent real like he said so his bits would have eventually won the crowd over..

The thing about the booing is that the assholes were outnumbered. And everytime Bill was starting to get back into a bit, everyone cheered. The problem is that then we got quiet to listen to the setup, etc, and while we were quiet, the 5% idiots started their unoriginal schtick again.
Then we would shut them down, Bill would get about 10 seconds into a bit and the idiots would pipe back up. There was no way that Bill could win, and there was no way we could win short of physical violence on the assholes.

I was in section 10, most if not all of the booing was in front and I thought it would stop as soon as he acknowledged the idiots. as soon as he started again all the booing was in the front. I then knew it was a good time to go take a piss. I came back and the assholes were still booing and it appeared more in section 3, which I now see was when CSK booted the guy with the recorder.
We saw the midget and my Brother-in-law got a picture with him, he politely asked if he could get a picture, and the dude was cool and said sure. I had my camera in the car and refused to argue with the security about bringing it in so I left it there. After the event was over I wanted to go get my camera to get some pics, but was still pissed at the people booing Bill.
I had a great time and just wished I could have made it Friday to meet more people that traveled to Cleveland on a much friendlier basis than after the show. The only 2 persons I got to talk with was Patti, and just welcomed her to Cleveland, and NFP, and joked and said he looked much taller on PT. I was feeling bitter at the assholes that booed Bill and left without any autographs or pictures.
Thank you to the booer's for ruining an almost perfect night. I wanted to meet everyone at the Hard Rock, but just left since I picked up on the anger from the people involved with the show. I was appalled at the assholes booing and I have my own theory of were they were from, and not Cleveland.
I'm glad you got a shitty autograph, you deserve it you unoriginal piece of shit. Sorry to be harsh, but why repeat something that was funny somewhere else. What someone else said above about "don't get the bit guy"...
That's you... thanks for being the black spot on the lung of a great show.
Listen dick just because I am the only one to admit I booed at first dosent mean I was the only one doing it or doing it the whole time. It was a call back just like this radio show dose. If the show is all about ripping on each other why is the live events supposed to be hugs and kisses? If Burr would have finished a joke he would have won the crowd. There wern't even that many people there booing he could have plowed threw and killed but he just didn't.

Right on cue. I mean really...who DIDN'T see this coming. After Burr's great response in Philly, of course Cleveland wanted in on the action. They are just too stupid to realize that fake boos could never provoke Mr. Burr. It's a shame that they missed out on one of the funniest men in America. I hope he never goes to Cleveland again. Don't let this cause a rift between O and A and Bill Burr. O and A had nothing to do with it. Bill would have killed, but some twats had to fuck it up. I hope he doesn't have to go through this shit much longer, because it was clear they booed just to get him to trash cleveland. There is always going to be a percentage of retards in a crowd like that when they have been drinking all day and it isn't like you can drown them out by cheering through Bill's whole set.
We cheered Bill when he addressed it and then we quieted down to try and let him go through his jokes. Being quiet gave the ass-hats a chance to start booing again.

I was in Section 2, row B, seat 11...right beside of the fucking douche that was thrown the fuck out (Thanks CSK). This guy was the biggest fucking tool in the crowd. First of all, he didn't get there until halfway through Otto's set and then wants to start asking me what he missed. I just told him to shut the fuck up and watch the show.
You fuckers won't believe his fucking hack line that he was trying to say to Billy. After Billy mentioned his girlfriend, this fuck says "Whats his name?" (car crash)...plus he had tried the same fucking line when Bobby K. mentioned being engaged. This fucking tool got what he deserved. As for the guy who said someone in the crowd should have handled it, well personnally I wanted to, but I had paid nearly 100 bucks for the seat and I damn sure didn't want to get tossed.
So fuck you idiots who booed, although it seems no one will fucking admit that they were, and long live Billy Burr.

you don't go to a comedy show to do material. :action-sm callbacks on the show about the show are great. callbacks while a comic is on stage is disruptive and rude, especially to the rest of the people there.

We had a fucking blast, but are all kind of upset at the Bill Burr situation...I was center stage, 5 rows back, and everyone in my immediate area was FUCKING PISSED that people were booing Bill.
Other than that, it was an awesome show...Bob Kelly and Jimmy FUCKING KILLED.

What he did in Philly was so perfect and so awesome, that now wherever he goes, doesn't matter what city, there will always be a few assholes that will try to provoke him.

The jerks who booed at the Cleveland show were worse than the ones at Philly. The ones at Philly were douches. The ones at Cleveland were bandwagon jumping douches who liked Burr and still boo-ed because they thought it would be cool to for him to make fun of Cleveland.

Gotta completely disagree. An "airport hanger" with 4,000 people (3980 good fans and 20 jackoffs) is completely different. Bill even offered that the asshats could stand by the stage, and he would trash them individually, of course no one took him up on it.
Regardless of where the people who were booing were from, it gives Cleveland a bad name. And let's face it fellow Clevelanders comedy f-ing sucks in this town.
Burr did exactly the right thing. He saw that if he entertained that, and trashed Cleveland, he would become a gimmick comedian. 'Come see Bill Burr at the Tuscaloosa fair, trash Tuscaloosa.' Bill is way too talented and funny for that.
I told the boys at signing that Cleveland was sorry, and sent Bill an email last night supporting him. I encourage everyone at the show to do the same.

Yeah people are allowed to have their opinions. What they aren't allowed to do is fuck things up for other people. Hey, if Bill Burr was bombing, and they booed him, fine. Hell, I mighta joined them. I was there. Drove 9 hours, across three states, just to see the show. It was great, aside from the fucking asscunts who boo'ed Billy. I didn't see anyone near me booing, just the opposite, most of us were doing what everyone else in the audience was doing, cheering and clapping for Billy and hoping to move past the moronic heckling.
I wouldn't be suprised if Bill never came on the show again. What comedian wants the reputation as 'the guy who gets boo'ed'?
I'm sorry to say it, but I think the Free FM crowd has something to do with this shit as well. None of them remember how great Billy was sitting in as third mike while Jimmy was away. Most of them have only heard him on the show a few times. They're a bunch of no XM, cheap fuck, lowest common denominator asses who just wanted attention and a repeat of Philly. It's good to have the Free FM people who 'get' the show, no offense to you guys, but there's a lot of fucking dumbshits listening to the show since the move to terrestrial.

Just made it home and took a crying game shower to clean that trip off me.
Interesting thing happened on the way home though. We stopped at a little place called the Cracker Barrel. We should have known by the name that we'd find the Petting Zoo crew inside. Pat, Paul, Patty, etc.
I said to my friend, Hey is that Paul? Then I heard him loudly say "Nice shirt fuckface" to one of his crew. Yeah, that's Paul.
My buddy goes to take a piss as we leave and Pat is in there already taking a horse piss at the urinal. Pat flushes and over flows the urinal, spilling piss water all over the place and on to my friends shoes. His reply. "All I did was piss in it!"
So either
a) Pat passed a 1 1/2 inch kidney stone and blocked the hole
or
b) Pat had to much gravy with breakfast and pissed a buttery slurry of a piss that plugged up the urinal.
I'm betting on B.

Hey, stupid, no one booed CSK when he pulled that pedofile looking dumbass (who taped from begining to when he got booted) In fact, we laughed at him. The boo's were already going on before that happened. Are you fucking retarded? Or did you have a few too many and your memory is clouded? Before you say I didn't see this happen, I was in row M 16 (directly behind him)in a Ron and Fez shirt (thank you Wackbag). Creepy motherfucker sitting all by himself with five seats either side empty. Also, the boo'er I was referring too earlier was in that row (L) to my right wearing a grey addidas (stripes) sweater. I hope you die you unfunny ruiner.
Thanks to our psycologist friends who were cool as hell to hang with. My Girl thanks you muchly for the Marlboro's.

Whatever. Regardless of whether or not you or I like Bill Burr, it is totally inappropriate and just fucking stupid to kick someout out for heckling the comedians.
It is a fine line here though, because there were about 3900+ people who wanted to see Bill Burr perform and if two asshats are infringing on EVERYONE else's rights by disrupting the show then that is a problem. It isn't like picketing outside and then being kicked off the property.

To the fans who didn't boo Bill Burr, ignore this. As for the morons that did, you assholes had to go there didn't ya. I paid $150 for my tickets and drove 2.5 hours from Columbus mostly to see Bill Burr, my personal favorite, do his set. No, can't have that can we? We're a bunch of fucking hicks that have to try to copy Philly. It really brought the whole show down. Great job idiots.

Sir, your a tool. Wake up man. Ok the venue was in Cleveland i get that but dont you think sir that the reason it was here was to make a center point for listeners to meet? Cleveland being the center point from , buffalo, detroit, columbus, pittsburgh...etc. So to thrash Cleveland you would be wrong sir. Wake up, snort a line, slam your rig into a family of 4 and understand that people from all over were there. Dont assume that Clevelanders made your balls sweat to get back and post shit like that when it was an effort needed from more than that!!

How could a fan of this show have such a thin skin?
I was even more pissed at the savages in the Philly crowd, and I was there. In the lawn seats. Surrounded by people who had no fucking idea who half of the people were.
And the reason the show was in Cleveland is that the boys wanted to go there before they were booted from WNEW. Cleveland was, and will be again, a big city for the show. I just hope that the actions of a few people don't fuck things up for the rest.
As for Philly, I wouldn't blame them if they never went again.

True, and nice sig video, but did'nt Opie kick the dog? Thank you.
Yes it was Opie, but I didn't have good video of Opie kicking. (because he was behind Anthony in the video)
But I believe that given the opportunity, Anthony would kick a dog.

I feel awful for Bill. I was in Section 2, and the people that I was sitting in really wanted to see Billy. When people started to boo him, a lot of people stood up to cheer for him. It is unfortunate that the cheers were drowned out. Yes, what happened on Saturday makes Cleveland look AWFUL. But look at this dump we call a city, how can it loook any worse?
I hate to bash just one group, but I had to pick, I think it was the CBS listeners. They are just casual listeners, and just getting back into the flow. The XM crowd, and myself included, are savages for this show. And I think we get the bits and the overall feeling of the show just so much better. Look at me being a shrink for this stupid thing. I stink.

Philly = Unappreciative, one bridge havin' drunken lawn-dwellers who have to ask Mommy and Daddy for $10 to get a ticket and boo anyone, even Dom Irerra (most didn't even know who he was)...and those are the good points.
Cleveland = desperately wants to be Philly but fails miserably. O&A had to lower the price to $10 so the unemployed, drunken dropouts could evn come CLOSE to filling 4000 chairs (Philly had 10,000). Cleveland DOESN'T rock.
SOLUTIONS: No more shows for Clevland. Philly get the Big A, Stalker Patti, and No Filter Paul traveling gingivitus tour until they learn.
also, NO MORE CHEAP TICKETS! Sorry but I bet all the "boo-ers" were NOT paying $40-$65 per seat.
Keep the riff raff out by charging "fancy" prices.
