So the Red Cross is doing a blood drive here at the hospital yesterday. They request volunteers to help with the drive and I figger 'What the hey, beats working.' so I spend the day sitting at a desk checking people in, filling out paperwork, scoping out the girly girls, etc...

About 1/4th of the staff of the hospital is black. Guess how many golfers showed up to donate blood? Correct... ZERO.

Over three hundred volunteers showed up, not a single representative of the African American community among them. Fucking pathetic.

On the bright side... at least we don't have to worry about the blood supply being tainted with sickle cells.

I never was much for racism until I started listening to the b-b-boys. then I actually started paying attention to the hipocracy, and it hit me like a ton of bricks. I'm happy to say my race has rarely if ever been a drain on the population of this country whether it be social services or medical services.

But just an observation, I live in Georgia, and we in the south get A LOT of grief about racism. But after having listened to the boys, and heard callers from all over the country, mainly the ones from up north, it simply amazing how openly racist ppl are, and yet we in the South get all the grief about it. Gotta love that white guilt.

They are 12% of the population but any open job they feel they are intitled to, quaified or not. This is kind of a weird example but say the Giants needed a head coach and the owner wants no one else but Jimmy Johnson due to the fact the guy has won Super Bowls and one of the top guys in the field. The owner has to interview a couple black candidates,wasting his and theirs before he can hire Jimmy or the NFL and the black "leaders" like Sharpton and Jackson would complain how a black man didnt get the chance.
