Jesus. That pic is like an optical illusion. When I look at it left to right, my mind keeps thinking the back is the front and vice versa. Well, I guess I will just avoid all the vertigo and choose not to buy one.

Bugatti Veyron

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is the most powerful, most expensive, and fastest street-legal production car in the world, with a proven top speed of over 400 km/h (408 km/h or 254 mph). It reached full production in September 2005. The car is built by Volkswagen AG subsidiary Bugatti Automobiles SAS and is sold under the legendary Bugatti marque. It is named after racing driver Pierre Veyron, who won the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1939 while racing for the original Bugatti firm.

I was just going to post this until I got to the bottom of the thread. Nice work!

Nothing is better than a Ferrari to me though.

Stock, from the factory (Meets US Regs.)

I hate to be Stanley Stickler, but "stock from the factory"?

There's nothing stock about this car. It's a completely custom vehicle. No mass production here. We're talking waiting list that you're lucky to get on no matter how much money you have.

Also, there's hardly any point in owning that car other than using it for track days if you live near a speedway.

Note: These comments come from an owner of a Dodge Neon. Performance knows no bounds with me.

Whoopdy do.... I haven't seen any cars in this thread that are worth near their price. Especially when you consider I could buy a $55K Corvette, give it to Lingenfelter Performance Engineering for a few weeks and $15K, and stomp these million-dollar trailer queens like watermelons at a Gallagher show.

The foreign exotics have never excited me... ridiculously overpriced, shoddy reliability, stupidly impractical.

Very cool car, but didn't Ant buy the Shelby more for sentimental/style reasons... I'm sure it performs perfectly fine for him... if Ant wanted to race seriously he could probably get in the (((XM))) race car.

I looked into purchasing one of these, but there's no way you can get car seats in the back so I had to pass. I bough a Dodge Grand Caravan instead...the Sport edition of course. Vroom vroom.

Saw an identical car to Ant's wedged under the back of a semi here in Denver a month ago. Took a crane to lift the semi trailer off the car so the FD could cut the top off the car to get the bodies out. Estimated speed at impact, 98 mph.

I'm guessing the S7 comparison because they are the few super cars built to meet US regs without heavy customization? Cuz that 1000HP VW is probably a bit faster than this I'd think.

The whole regulations on these type of cars is a joke. They should definitely be exempt from any fucking type of environment regulation. Like the 5 of these on the road will make any type of environmental impact compared to old gas guzzling shit machine the millions of poor people drive.
