Was just watching an episode of Futurama that I Tevo'ed, and I caught a smash at Stern that I never caught because I never knew of the Billy West/ Stern connection. Anyhow, Fry was in "Old New York", and he decided to do a few things he never could do before. One of them was to jump on a newspaper box and declare "Stern is overrated." Needless to say, I loffed. As you were.

I didn't know about the Billy West thing when I first saw that either, I just thought it was an accurate statement at the time.

Haha, I love that quote, even had it in my sig here about a year ago, but never made the connection between Stern and Billy West at the time. I have all the Futuramas on DVD. I'll try and get the quote tonight and send it off to Steve.

When I watched that episode and heard that line, I loffed loffed loffed! Seriously, I don't know what the issues/attitudes between Stern and West were like when Billy left Howard's show, but it couldn't be all good if he's taking pot-shots like that at ole' Horseface. Oh, and by the way, Stern IS overrated! You don't need a cartoon character from the future to helpl you figure that out. Basically, the scene should have ended with the other characters asking Fry who the hell was Howard Stern? He's a has-been now --- in the future he'll be lucky if he's a footnote in some encyclopedia.

Billy West was the best part of the Stern show and Stern screwed him over....His larry from the three stooges was classic...best stuff hoo hoo ever had was on the tails of Billy... The boys should snatch him up.. between Anthony and him What voice couldnt they do? Ohh, Ok,,, MADDEN BOOOM!
