According to what I saw on OpieAndAnthony, it's 7-11pm.

This kinda sucks. I went to the Halloween gig last year and was hoping to go to this one. I really am not crazy about taking the day off from work to go, and end up not being able to get tickets. Ugh. I am usually asleep during the live broadcast of the show, since I work evenings. I live and breathe by the replays.

yeah really, it's different if it's the Traveling Virus shows where there are thousands of attendees and you can buy tickets if you don't win them. but a smaller show like this and you have to win tickets? this is one of those shows that should cater to the more loyal and hardcore listeners because of the smaller, more intimate setting and the XM listeners are clearly the most loyal and hardcore since they're the ones paying to listen to O&A. hell, this show should be run by XM in the first damn place, not Free FM.

i say, promote the show mostly on the XM side and make the whole show "first come, first serve" like the last Hard Rock shows so it's likely more XM listeners will come than Free FM listeners, but both XM and Free FM listeners have a better chance of getting in than having to win tickets in a contest. and if they really want to give away tickets, do it mostly on the XM side and only give out a few tickets on the Free FM side, if at all. and if the Free FM fans bitch that they didn't know about the show, O&A can simply say, "Well, if you subscribed to XM, you'd know."

This is complete BULLSHIT...what if you're an 'XM Only' listener?

I was at the event last year, there was a line around 3pm of guys that where hanging out that morning in front of the XM studio.

My wife and I got there at around 6:30 and where able to line up and go in at about 7:15pm.

We got one of those sticker braclets and T-shirts and Wow stickers.

They only sold drinks but no food (go figure) having mentioned that they didn't mind that other people would bring in food from outside.

I'm gonna have to try other methods for this year.:icon_wink

This is too involved. I had a Grady costume from The Shining ready to go, but forget it. It's not worth listening to Free FM. Sorry, Free FM, but if winning a ticket to see O and A means I have to sit through a show like JV and Elvis for even one day, I would rather not attend.

I would have liked to go, but I'll just go to another Halloween event in NYC instead.

Perhaps the Pests can do an NYC or NJ based Meet and Greet where we do not have to listen to regular radio for a chance to win.

I still put forth that we should do a meetup on a Friday night at the Old Bay in New Brunswick, NJ, and hit some of the other bars in the area.

kloraferm, my call came less than 5 minutes after I hit "submit" but the couldn't tell me any more than, "you won." Now I got a call about when to pick up the tix at the station, but was given different info than someone else.

Fuck Free FM. My brother better want these tickets.

Edit for koraferm: I was told Thur, Fri, Mon between 5 am & 5pm at the station. When you get there, call 212-314-9288 and tell them you're there for your tickets. Have proper ID. My friend was told the hours were 10am - 5pm, so who knows. I may call later. It would be nice if they would post the correct info on-line. But why would they?

Hi everyone,

This ticket pickup issue blows. I called Promotions and they said that the winner has to be the one who picks up.

They also said tix can be picked up between 10 and 4 on Tuesday but you may want to reconfirm this.

Hubby's going in to get the tickets on Thursday. If they change this policy for whatever reason then he'll pick up anyone else's that need a pickup and we can arrange a transfer somewhere in North Jersey over the weekend. I'll keep y'all posted.

As of now you have to pick up your tix at free fm thurs fri or mon from 10am to 5pm or tuesday 10am to 3pm. But Tuesday is not definately. They may make the accomodation for people. Double check that.

for my experience youll get a call within 15 mins letting you know if youve gotten tickets, from them its a matter of hours but you already have confirmation

more info posted Tickets can be picked up at the 92.3 Free FM offices between the hours of 10AM - 5PM beginning Thursday, Oct. 26 @ 10 AM until Tuesday the 31st @ 4PM. Bring photo ID when picking up the tickets. This event is 21+.

they didnt tell me otherwise so im assuming the 4pm cut off on the day of the show is definite

O&A gotta know that this situation blows. They want the hardcore fans there, they dont want a bunch of jv and elvis fans or fairweather fans who have a more convient time getting tickets. Im sure they will mention something tomorrow and start working to get to the bottom of it. they usuaully dont dissapoint and i cant find a positive comment about how this event is being run on any messageboard/website anywhere

both Free FM and XM dropped the ball on this one. somehow, Free FM got all the tickets to give away and XM has no involvement? hell, you'd think that XM would at least foot the bill for this little shindig, considering they had no involvement in the Traveling Virus tour and this one is on a much smaller scale and meant for the hardcore (paying) fans. way to show some love for "one of XM's most popular shows" and their most loyal fans. :icon_roll

and Free FM are a bunch of opportunistic, hacky radio gimmick asses for trying to turn this smaller-scale, intimate party into an obvious ploy to get people to listen to the rest of their awful shows and trying to disguise it in the form of your typical hacky "Listen all day for your chance to win!" bullshit contest. did they really think we wouldn't see through this little trick, and did they think O&A would be happy with it? O&A make a habit of "pulling back the curtain" of what goes on in the radio business, so of course we were gonna know what they were trying to pull with this little stunt.

i just called them again to ask a few questions because i wanted to try and win more pairs of tickets for myself and then give them to whatever Pests that don't have tickets the day of the show outside the Hard Rock, and i was told that each winner only gets one pair of tickets. so if you enter using your own name, location, and phone numbers and you win a pair, they won't choose your name again if you try to win using the same info. they won't pick your name a second time. so if you've already won tickets for yourself, you won't be able to win more tickets for yourself. so if you've already won tickets for yourself, try winning tickets for other Pests you know.

Yet another change from FreeFM:

The Tuesday pick up is at the Hard Rock Cafe, and NOT at FreeFM - they have extended the hours as follows for Tues:

Tuesday (31st) at the Hard Rock Cafe
3PM - 5PM Inside the building
5PM - 8PM Outside the building.
No tickets will be distibuted after 8PM.

They have now stated they will not let ANYONE pick up ANYONE ELSE'S TICKETS, even if they have copies of IDs!

Friday, we didn't even have to try to get tix cause every one had them.

Anyone still needing tickets can get them on the walkover Monday or Tuesday. I would go Monday just to be safe though. They're not unlimited.

why would you expect a live show? the party is scheduled to end @ 11, and tomorrow's show starts @ 6am. You actually think they'd get enough sleep between 11pm tuesday and 6am wensday to do a show? Yeah, they can get a hotel room for a night, but maybe all the hotels are booked cause of the parade or something. Maybe they don't wanna pay for it. Maybe they want XM/FreeFM to pay for it, but they won't. I just hope they broadcast the party live on FreeFM, which I doubt they will.

Just came back from the party and besides the beautful tits the party was pretty awful. It wasn't entertaining, the 3-4 bits they did sucked and Flava Flav was awful. The show was extremely boring and the crowd definitely was not into it. I was also surprised how small the crowd was- they couldn't even give out all the tickets for this.

The panel up on the stage contributed nothing to the show. If it wasn't for the breasts and lots of alcohol (thank God I brought my flask with me-drinks were wayyy too expensive) it would not have been tolerable at all.

For everyone who was there last night I hope you got home safe, With everything that went down. From a professional point of view the Hard Rock lacks in security. Honestly I think CBS should have booked different talent. If it's about promotion and target audiences, they were way off with Flava. I know it might be hard to do but a rock band would have fit the bill better but that may be my opinion. I have to add the NYPD did a great job in Times Square when stuff went down across from the Hard Rock.

I know alot of people are complaining today but I had a great fuckin time!
spent over 100 on beer (10 dollar shots of jager), got to meet alot of fuckin great people (happy, tax, nfp, c&s, and opie of course), and went to the bar afterwards to knock a few more back.

The first hour and a half we were there it was all about drinkin, then they hit the stage at like 8, kinda boring after a little but I was so hammered that I didn't mind. Flava flav put me to sleep.

Overall I couldn't imagine doing something else for halloween, I really had alot of fun

Love the boys, Love the show, had a good time at the party. Having said that, I bailed at around quarter to 10 (walked Harry Potter girl to the Bus terminal, and later almost regretted leaving) and now that I'm listening to what went on - mainly, Flave's l'il contribution - I'm almost thrilled I bailed... Unless that was a way to start the vomit-fest early. Sorry, I am not a band-wagon type. Sorry, but there's not anough boose to make me enjoy this crock of shit. And if having Flave there was supposed to be a Cringe thing - then I am the doesn't get the bit guy coz that isn't what it seemed like yesterday nor does it seem that way during the replay.

In the end - I did have a great time there so it really doesn't matter. Purely for my taste, though - I much prefer the uncensored XM cluster-fuck from last year.

i'm still out of it from last night's festivities. the show was going good ( the candy eating contest sucked tho) and when Flava Flav highjacked the show it was just downhill from there. it went from being an O&A show to Showtime at the Apollo. some where thrilled that Chuck D. was there with Flav, most didn't give a shit and the floor was half empty. i was trying to signal to Opie that Flav was killing the show by pretending to hang myself with the lei around my neck but then became very aware of all the knitters on the stage and realized that might not be the best idea in the world if i wanted to make it out of there alive. by the time the knitters finally got off the stage and loaded back onto the Amistad, most of the people left and the remainders couldn't care less about the costume contest (congrats to GAZ on winning with his George Harrison costume, anyway). i was supposed to be in the Pin the Stake on Nosferatu contest but that got cut because the knitters took over the show. hanging out at O'Lunney's afterwards was great as usual, just drinking and trying to stay cognizant. it's always a pleasure to hang out with you maniacs and meeting a few more of you that i hadn't met before.

Flav completely ruined the show. It came to a screaching halt. He brought out his whole family, doctors, teachers, friends, and introduced them all, like anyone gave a shit. He made this his comeback party with Public Enemy. I could see Anthony seething at the corner of the broadcast table.
At least half the crowd left during Flav's set, so the rest of the show blew, no energy at all.

Then his posse, or HR security or some other knitter, "allegedly" steals Silera's sisters purse. Irish Alkey, true to his name and completely hammered, is ready to kill these guys and was being held back by Po and some others. The knitters were taunting and laughing the whole time. Bad scene.

The party was cool until Flav got there. Lots of WOW's and funny costumes.

The Free FM sucks chant was classic, as most people there were XM subscribers. Anyone could get in after 8, the place was not a full house all night. Pics later.

As much of a disaster as the Flavor Flav appearance was, it was funny as hell in a train wreck "I can't believe this is for real and not a parody" kind of way. O&A's reactions were great. Opie kept shaking his head laughing in disbelief and Anthony sat there simmering with a look of contempt and disgust on his face, all the while Jimmy was pretending to be into it as a goof.

The only thing that annoys me is this..... if everyone in the crowd wanted Flavor Flav and his uhhh guests to leave, why was no one heckling? Towards the end of Flav's second stage appearance a guy started chanting "Nah, nah nah nah, hey hey hey, gooooooodbye" I joined him in the chant with maybe one other person and we were as loud as 2 or three people could be. A lot of people turned and nodded or smiled and looked ready to join in. Then they saw the looks we were getting from Flavor Flav's thugs that were scattered throughout the crowd and kept silent. If you didn't have the balls to heckle then, you shouldn't complain today.

I also want to say that No Filter Paul has got a huge set of balls and should get some respect just based on the fact that he stood next to them on stage in the worst black face I have ever seen. Those involved in the "show your tits" chant directed towards Flav's mother and hot daughter (the fat one got no reaction) should also be applauded. Great job guys! I think if everyone knew what was going to happen later, they may have kept the chant up until he got pissed enough to leave.

Well, I for one went and had a great time. The Flav thing sucked rotted cow cunt, but what can you do? It just proves alot of people's points about that kind of garbage.
On a positive note, I was really happy to meet alot of different fans, as well as Ron, Fez, ESD, and Black Earl. Elmo, as usual, was a very entertaining. For what the evening was, I thought it went really well (again, except for the Invasion of the M'bogos). EVOLVE, you fucks! Ditch the opposable toes and develop your internal clock so you'll know when it's time to get your nappy asses off the fucking stage.
I have to hand it to O&A and their crew. They did a great job, especially when you consider they didn't want to do another live show for broadcast.
I enjoyed going around as Ant's Campaign Manager. It's not often I get to wear a nazi armband in public!

I think at first the novelty of flav being up there yelling flava flav got the crowd pretty pumped, and him and chuck d together was pretty awesome to see but after a while everyone was just really drunk and lost interest, everyone seemed to just start bullshitting with each other after they realized he wasnt getting off stage anytime soon and I think thats why there were no chants telling him to wrap it up.
I missed the whole shit with his posse, I ran to go enter the costume contest while they were still on stage and stayed until the whole thing ended. I guess if you silly people stayed for the whole show their may not have been problems outside when his posse left :P

anyway, it was nice to meet you paul :action-sm glenn, its too bad we didnt get to meet I was at the after party for a little while, Im still trying to remember everyone I met, its kind of a haze after the jager shots. It was really cool to meet all the interns, it was nice to meet keith the cop too. I'm so confused. I thought they were going to re-air the halloween show today but when I opened the latest audible to listen to the apparent horror, and it was a new show? I thought they were taking the day off? Anyone else confused? If not, mind explaining to the dummy?

Say what you will about flav taking up to much time, But DAMN, that second song was the shit, dog...... uh I mean it was Dog Shit. My bad.. Do rappers really not have to sing even close to in KEY for them to be considered good? That was really just some awful shit.. Ewww

CSK was right to ask who was responsible for booking him. They should be fired. Or forced to listen to entire CD of that shit dick.
