By "regular TV" do you mean network TV? I haven't heard of any instances of that happening. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

I was shocked the other night, my wife was watching ER and they blatenly said "Tits" on network TV. That surprised me.

also sunday morning before the NFL games started, TNT was playing that Micheal douglas president movie and they said "Shit"... which isnt that shocking for cable, but its probably the first time ive seen it on TNT.

The "C" word get used quite a bit after 10pm on British TV, Hell a few months ago they even had a live autopsy, which was one the the most disturbing things i have ever seen.

Does it count if its on a sign behind a news reporter? Because I saw that a few years ago. Two dopes on the radio decided to do this and I was very happy

And yet depicting a hanging is taboo over there.

Does anyone remember that Rescue Me episode about the word "twat"? Did they mention cunt there or did they just say "the c word"?

Isn't "live" autopsy a misnomer?

John Lydon called the viewers of the British version of "I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!", "fucking cunts".

Networks allow it as long as a black person says the word. On Comedy Central once, they allowed a lot of black comics to say the word, but censored it when a white comic said it.

They didn't say "cunt" on Rescue Me, but they've said pretty much everything else. They might have said "cock" in the episode where they have a contest to find out who has the biggest dick in the house.

They said cock in the twat episode.
Just watched that last night.

Maybe we should have a poll for the ladies(real ones) which they prefer, twat, cunt, twunt or cwat?

There was an episode of Arrested Development that had a brilliant play on words, revolving around a boat called "The Seaward".
Michael: ...I don't care, just get the Seaward out of here
Lucille I: I know when I'm not wanted!

I always believed this to be the case until I saw South Park's Halloween 2006 episode. And no, The Boondocks doesn't count because Dubya and Rummie are voiced by Charlie Murphy and Samuel L. Jackson.

Cable's rules are self imposed. Many years back MTV showed a new versio of the old "Scared Straight" prison thing. Every possible word was used.

Also Network TV has shown movies with FUCK and other words in them on occasion. Private Ryan and Schindlers List come to mind.

On Arrested Development, David Cross was about to call his wife a cunt but just then his daughter walked in, so he expanded it to "country music fan" or something like that. His timing was perfect.

Did anybody get the "Lemon Party" reference on 30 Rock?

they aired Scared Straight on network TV completely unedited too. sometimes they let it fly if it's serious shit like documentaries (or serious movies that are based on true events) about the Holocaust or scaring the shit out of kids to keep them out of prison. hell even O&A were able to broadcast unedited for the couple of days after 9/11 because it was a tragic, serious time and a lot of emotional people needed to vent. i don't think i've heard the A-Bomb used during any of those instances though.

Comedy Central finally caught on that they are a cable channel and aired the uncensored William Shatner roast where Lisa Lampanelli told one of the funniest jokes I've heard in a while - I'm paraphrasing here - Lisa speaking to Shatner "Bill, I tried to record your show TJ Hooker recently, but my TIVO suggested I punch myself in the cunt instead.

Fuckin' hilarious...

In the one where Dr. Green dies of the Big Casino, he falls out of bed and slams the floor with a loud "SHIT!"
