So Mac hasn't been around for months... And there's no closure on this thing...
I think there's a strong chance 1 of 2 things happened:
1) Mac squirrelled away the money the boys gave to him, pulled himself up by the boot straps, and became a part of society once again. Once he got back on his feet, probably working at a small job somewhere, he will go back and see his family again. In time for the holidays no less. All thanks to the generous cashola from ONA.
2) Mac's rotting corpse and especially rotting leg was found in a back alley after he OD'd on drugs, and it was hauled off to the morgue, never claimed and cremated. This probably occurred because of all the cash the boys threw at him, allowing him to buy more drugs than normal, getting even more hooked and finally moving into the big cardboard box in the sky.
Will the mystery of Mac ever be solved? Will Andrew be the next to "vanish"? He seems to be getting progressively worse after the bbabababoys popped up into his life with their fancy cash and fancy cake stomping timberland boots.

I just hope Mac lived long enough to see Clerks 2. He promised he would do that. Macs voice always made me laugh.

Relax people, he probably got that call that he was waiting for in regards to his resume. He seemed like the kind of guy that was holding out for the right job offer.

He's probably up in Wisconsin helping run Paul R. Nelson's bid for congress.

If Mac IS dead, I'd look into Paul R Nelson's whereabouts at the time.
