The guy e-mailed me and said they were up there for "educational" purposes and that "all" of their audio was available asa ringtone whether it was inteded for that or not...
So I ask this...if it is meant to be educational for people doing research WHY offer it as a ringtone? And how do we miss the obvious "Usama" username?

Response from the site:
Hi Matthew,
The tracks related to 9/11 that we present at AudioSparx have historical significance, and may at times be needed by our clients as they work on projects that cover this major life event. We don't put the tracks up there to offend anybody, we put them there simply to make them available to our clients that may need them. Please don't take offense at the presence of the tracks on our site. They are there for use in projects that are related to or covering these periods, or for educational projects that need them, for their historical sake. Its a part of our history that we can't escape, and rather than ignore it, we try to present a fair and accurate and complete audio history of the event.
All of our the tracks at AudioSparx can be purchased as ringtones, but we do not specifically put these tracks up there for sale as ringtones, and they are not typically licensed as such, and as a matter of fact have never been purchased as ringtones. The tracks are there in archival for use in commercial, personal and educational projects where there is a need by our clients for these tracks for their historical significance, similar to how we also have audio-related tracks from World War II and other significant world events and situations. Think of our site as serving a long-term purpose of audio historical archive, and we are a business, so we charge for our services, similar to how other businesses charged for such things as cleaning up the mess of 9/11, rebuilding, etc. Our purpose and function is not sinister nor immoral nor macabre.

My response ....
Lee,
You are not a historian and neither does your company have a historical mission. You have posted these sickening ring tones for shock value and to make a profit off the suffering and death of thousands of innocent civilians at the hands of barbaric animals!
You are despicable for offering such a lame and pathetic excuse and your company is is despicable for attempting to make a profit from it.
Rest assured your site is being forwarded to every cop, firefighter and service member I know so that they can judge the historical value of your site and its offering.
Further more; know that your site is being posted across numerous message boards whose collective opinion is disgust and outrage at this offering. We have our ways and we have been very, very successful in the past at expressing our fucken outrage!
Respectfully,
A 9-11 Worker.

I got a reply !!!!! .......
Please stop, as you can see we do present many different audio tracks
from historical periods in the past. While our primary mission is not
"historical sounds" per se, our clients search for many many different
things, and we cover all things that are audio-related. And while all
of our content can be purchased as ringtones, we do not post these
specific tracks to be purchased as ringtones, we make them available for
other uses primarily.

USAMA stands for "Ultimate Sound And Music Archive".

BTW, how did you stumble on this YaHearIHearMe?
Now that you ask that question, I just realized that I should of posted the site that directed me to this and we could of hit them also. Before writing this I tried to back track where I went BUT I dont remember. Im not sure if someone here had a link to something and then I went further on the site and found it listed at the lower left hand corner. Im now going to go crazy cause its going to bug the shit out of me how I came across it.
Its even listed as 911 ringtones so that website should be attacked also for promoting this shit. Im going to try and find that site today and post it hopefully it I find it again.
