Anything similar to an Instant Replay machine I could store sound effects on and keep in my pocket for the times I need to car crash someone? Preferably something that would hold several hundred sounds?

I know, I'm a fucking nothing.

These days it's called an Ipod, or other MP3 device.

Add an external speaker into the headphone jack and you have a portable sound effects machine.

I use my phone now, thats just like an mp3 player. I was hoping to find something with a bunch of buttons on the front, like the old sound effect things spencer gifts used to sell, only programmable.

get a pocket pc and load the soundboards onto it or get a copy of PocketMusic, which is pretty much a pocketpc version of winamp, and load the files into the playlist.

I love this damn machine! I use it at work and the ease of use is sweet. Having a portable sfx device would be nice. I doubt there is one as advanced as this.

I was thinking the PDA route actually. Maybe I'll try one. WIll shockwave based soundboards work on a Windows CE machine?
