My six year old sharted today and I explained to him what it is. I did not use the word shit. I said that this is what happens when you fart and poop comes out.

Harmless and accurate. My wife begs to differ. Now for the most part she is not a douche bag, but she is getting on my nerves on this one.

I am standing my ground and looking for some support.

If you heard a kid say that he sharted, would you think that the kid came from a bad home and so on and so forth.

We have pretty respectful kids, so my wife is looking to keep our repuatation intact.

Thanks

Serious answers only folks.

I wouldn't even mind if the kid said shit. But you can probably say "shart" on network TV and thats good enough for me.

That's what I'm thinking...and kids are smart, you know, it won't take long for him to figure out that shart=shit+fart.

nothing wrong with it as long as the child knows when NOT to say it. When you limit your kids and have "bad" words, not good either. Just make sure the kid knows when it is appropriate and it should be fine. Put boundarries and you will end up with a bad kid.....some rules yes, not letting them say Sharted....no. Its ok I think
