Well I think she is cute as fuck, but I dont think she is fake. If you watch the videos you will see hints that def. arent fake. Kind of like in the video after the beating the fuck out of fish video you see Daniel trying to light some white candles under the picture of Aleister Crowley (magician/witch that has many followers in Wicca) and she freaks out and takes the matches away. She sure didnt have a problem with the other candles being lit but freaked the fuck out when it came to her ceremonial Wiccan (witchcraft) candles. That's he reason she was taken out of public school because kids gang up against kids that have anything to do that isnt in the mianstream and being a witch/Wiccan sure as fuck isnt mainstream.

Also about the videos. Well morons who have blogs and columns can sit there and talk about how good the editing on the videos is but it's not good at all. They aren't professionals and anyone with a home editing program can do what she does, especially if you use something like Adobe Premiere Elements that consumers buy at electronic stores.

People talk abotu the lighting, well she has plenty of light coming through her window she sits right next to and also has a desktop lamp that fills the left side of her face with soft light. I have he same shit. Also there is some talk about the camera she uses well it's not a camcorder she was using because she uses a webcam. Again, when she is following Daniel around while he is lighting candles she placed the camera on the window ledge and you could hear that the camera is very cheaply made with light plastics while her fingers rubbed across the body of the camera as she was positioning it. So it's a webcam and shity editing.

If they were professional then Daniel wouldnt have used a piece of shit home video camera that uses 3:4 aspect ratio for the hiking trip where they later filled in the bottom and top of the screen to make a fake letterbox feature that was trying to imitate a widescreen capture. IT is very crudely edited and made but it might look convincing to someone that isnt in the multi-media business, and yes that includes writers and bloggers.

Not really, I just look at the production value of any type of video and I have a very good memory. So I can remember things I have seen :P It's not like I obsess about youtube videos or anything. I'm just saying the video isn't edited well at all like all of the websites and bloggers claim. It's actually pretty shitty, but that is expected from someone who isnt trained in proper editing.

I like to think I'm somewhat with it when it comes to pop culture. I always thought I knew at least some of what was going on. But today I saw yet another story/article/whatever about some fucking twat named "LonelyGirl15." I don't know who she is or what she does. Yet somehow she's gotten stories in the New York Times, mentions on Best Week Ever and a spot on The Goddamned Tonight Show. WHY?!?!?

I'm not at the point of actually checking out the lonelygirl15 videos on youtube or the god-save-us-all, lonelygirl15 copycat videos. To be honest, I'm scared to. I do not want to know what this cunt does that has made me challenge my own personal knowledge.

This is a shock to the system I was not prepared to endure. Why is shje important? Why should anyone care? And is there anything else that I'm out of the fucking loop about?

I saw the previous thread and watched some of the videos. She is cute and it did come off as a genuine life drama seen from behind a webcam. A peek into her life, the guy friend who is 'just a friend' but know they should hook up. I didn't get all drawn into it, but I can understand how teenagers (and some adults) might have been drawn into the drama of it all.

But it was called out here on wackbag as a fake and it proved to be true.

she's not important. but she's hot. this is a case of prurient interests mixed with curiosity. marketing experts are beginning to notice that the key to internet buzz is non-information and sex. this is the epitome of the "people are talking about <insert your product here>."

in addition to that youtube popularity is driven by clicks. they use a simple counter to define popularity and the only thing you have to decide whether or not to click is the picture, the name of the video and the popularity. hence. non-information and sex mixed with "people are talking"
