First off, I like many of the shows they have, I like over the top PRIMETIME deon and I love watching the NFL REPLAYS but...
It seems like there is so much more potiential for the NFL network, but I am really pissed off about how they are supposed to show four games from the last week, although they usually show three, why not show all the games throughout the week...
No old games, they are too busy trying to sell every game ever played on DVD before they would actually show it on TV...I would love to see some Cosell called games...But we do get to watch the NFL cheerleader bullshit...this station sucks...
Oh and while i'm on a bitch rant, fuck ESPN and the world series of poker...ENOUGH

I remember seeing the ice bowl uncut and unedited (minus commercial breaks) about 2 years ago. NFL Europe is alright, I guess. When it's the off season, there's nothing else on and Arena Football only lasts a short while.

time warner in cleveland doesn't even carry it since they can't get enough $$ - it was on when we had adelphia but since they got bought out they turned it off. kinda sucks since at least a few good games will air on it later in the year

It's better than it used to be. The network has only been around for a few years so it's going to take awhile to get a well rounded group of shows going on there.

hell yeah. It's my favorite channel. I constantly switch it between NFL Network, XM Ch. 879 (O&A), and Noggin (Degrassi and South of Nowhere...shut up! leave me alone!). Give it enough time and good things will happen to the channel. I just hope they don't go the ESPN/Entertainment route.

Don't get me wrong, I watch the same programs on NFL network at least 4 times a week, but that is the problem that they have, the same stuff on the entire week, I guess you are right, they need some time to grow, but you would think the most watched sport in the US could fork over a few dollars in advance and put some programming on...
They do have a pretty kick ass schedule of games this season, mostly rivalry games.

They need to fire Rich Eisen, he's annoying. All he tries to do is crack corny jokes every 30 seconds, like ESPN. Rich, did you go to Michigan, did ya? I like the other two hosts, the black guys. They know their place and don't try to make the whole show about then. Deion belongs on ESPN with the other of the annoying assholes. NFL Network should get Mel Kiper and let him have his own show about the draft that could air every week. The one they have now sucks, all they talk about is the big names. Say what you want about Mel Kiper but the guy is a professional and knows his shit.
And they really need to air every game from the week. A weekly fantasy football show wouldn't hurt. Instead they have a F list celebrity fantasy football league, it sucks. They should air every old game they can get their hands on. How about show the entire 85 Bears season (the broadcoast version, not crappy NFL Films)? Stuff like that. How about re-air Super Bowl 25? This network could be amazing but they don't know what they're doing.

I agree. I would love to see the old games in the original broadcast version. During draft week I think it would be cool if the replayed the first round of old drafts where we could hear what they said about players then compared to what they became.
Another idea: I always liked the "pop ups" in videos and movies. How about replaying old games and doing "pop ups" with bits of inside information of the players, coaches, etc.? Anyway, I agree, this network has a chance to be great but they need to do better.
