Is anyone watching this show? opie mentioned it a couple of months back. It shows drug/booze/shopping addicts in a downward spiral just before rehab. this has got to be the best show on tv. its on sundays at 10:00 pm on A&E. the one tonite is a crack head music producer and his hot girlfriend whos sick of his shit. It's worth it to see the hot gf.

I've seen it. Best one was the teen that was an alcoholic - his parents did an intervention, but he didn't care. His mentality was that he had a right to drink, he didn't care who it was affecting. He went into one month rehab, walked out the door and across the street and got a bottle - all on film.

"Some people were born to be astronauts, teachers, stuff like that - I was born to drink". Classic episode.

Yeah, last nights "tim the crackhead" episode was great, even after seeing it before. My favorite has gotta be Kristen or Candice or Cameron, I don't know her name but she was a meth and crack addict and they were all smoking rocks and throwing up. She was up all night smoking meth and then they had the intervention at like 9:00am so she was gacked out of her mind, what a great show.

I dont remember her name but last nights episode about a half mexican chick who wasnt awful looking. Was pretty good. She's a Meth addict and the most obstinate drunk I have ever seen. Typical story, dadys girl with her head in the clouds takes wrong turn when parents get divorced. She lives in a shack behind her grandmas house and never cleans or straightens up. the place looks like a bomb hit it with vodka bottles all over ( hundreds of them) gets into fights, drunk, with her sister and gets her ass kicked. So the end comes where she has to go to rehab or else. Goes to rehab but gets kicked out after 3 days comes back home and rather than rehab decides to go to jail. Oh and did I mention shes a stripper too. Great episode I will keep watching.

I watched Obsessed one time....I have minor OCD (or maybe Im just extremly particular at times), and these people irritated me

The one guy who goes to the gym 9 times a day, takes 40+ pills becuase he's afraid of dying, and spins counter clockwise. He has the WORST hair plugs (yes, plugs - not individually placed follicles) ive ever seen.

And the girl who doesnt like to take shits and feels dirty. When she shits, she sits in the shower for 1-3 hours and scrubs her asshole with a toothbrush until it bleeds. She's had to go to the hospital for blood transfusions twice. She actually got better thru therapy...the guy didnt really.

That chick was the besssssst. That's the episode I normally tell my friends about when I talk about the show. I had zero idea you could inhale that shit so often and still have a brain cell left. She was almost boneable too.

I regularly tune into both of the shows if I remember it's on. It's really great. They had a fag on Obsessed, and he collected shit as kind of a dedication to his mom and to show that he won't let go of her memory or some shit like that. Needless to say, his apartment was so full, the guy had to sleep outside.

He ended up getting through it though...as did the chick who was afraid of the dark, earthquakes and being followed/watched/stalked/etc. I've got, what I always thought was, a pretty moderate form of OCD...but after watching these nuts, it could be a shit load worse. Makes me feel a whole lot better...even though, I can actually envision what these people's intense urges must feel like. Damn, I'd hate to be like that.

Tonight they're rerunning the chick with the feeding tube. Due to sexual abuse she can't swallow, but she sits at meal times and chews her food and keeps a spit cup around for when she's done chewing. She gets most of her nutrition thru her G tube, a tube that goes directly into her stomach, and was supposed to be a temporary measure. Very messed up.

I hadn't seen that one before. That chick's got some serious issues. The whole spitting out food thing was disgusting. Overall Intervention is a great show, but I'd rather see drunks and druggies than the eating disorder people.

The next new episode involves a drunk black lady...which reminded me...there sure aren't alot of blacks on this show. It's usually the white drunk guy, or white chick thats shooting up and shit. Not many blacks.

I think to become a subject for Intervention, someone has to call the producers on your behalf. Maybe non-white families take less action with their addicts, perhaps they are less likely to try an intervention. Some people still look down at addicts (rather than enabling them while trying to get them healthy).

Basically, what i've seen in general is pretty much sink or swim if you're an addict in minority families.

No cuddling, and no interventions. That concept didn't exist when i was growing up, and even now, i'd rather cut some one off for their fuck up then do some type of intervention.

Sink or swim when the cause of your trouble is something you probably could have controlled.
