I found this great deal posted on Digg this morning.

Basically, $100 mail-in rebate on either Xbox 360 system. Here's the catch, its only good for in-store purchases at Microcenter stores. Check out the store locator (only 19 locations nationwide).

I went to their website and fortunately there's one 25 minutes away from me. I'm not sure I can pass this up. Especially with GoW having just come out and CoD3 and a whole bunch of other games I want to play on 360.

Me being the computer geek that I am, I'm at the microcenter in westbury all the time on my lunch break. I'll have to see if any of my friends want to take this great deal.

If more stores give this kind of rebate, it's gonna be real tough for justify $300 more for the ps3. This may be the beginning of a microsoft reaction to the ps3 release (they may be giving stores an incentive to have these kinds of rebates).

I don't quite have the cash to jump into the nex-gen systems but three hundred for the deluxe Xbox 360 might sway me. Is it worth it now or should I hold off until the inevitable PS3 price drop in a year?
