Anyway...this film looks pretty badass. Bond looks like an assassin, and not a comic book character like he did in Die Another Day. Oh and Eva Green >>>>>>>> Halle Berry.

Yeah, but they all seem to be centered on the casting or accident stuff.
I was just wondering who really gets into the Bond movies overall.
Some have been good and some just suck.
This one looks to be one of the good ones.

i stopped caring about new Bond films a while back, guess they're have just been too many that whatever cinematic weight the movies have is kinda gone, it just becomes "eh, another Bond film, who cares?". however, i will say that the new one looks damn good. i know there was a shitload of criticism about the casting of Daniel Craig, but seeing the trailers and seeing him in action as Bond actually reminds me more of Connery's Bond than any of the other Bonds. plus, he isn't an effeminate pretty boy.

The new Bond is fucking great. My father works for Sony so got to see and advanced screening of the film. It is a great fucking flick. Nothing like the last 3 its old school Bond.

The thing is getting a 94% on Rotten Tomatoes (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/casino_royale/) which is phenomenal.

Bond had become a cartoon character by the time Roger Moore finished with him so after watching Timothy Dalton take a stab at the character I gave up on the series. The only decent Bond movie during that period was when Connery returned in "Never Say Never" which brought the character back to where it should've been. I have never watched a Pierce Brosnan Bond so maybe I'm out of line when I say that it was time to rethink the character like they did with Casino Royale.

I'll definitely give this one a shot though. :)

Sean connery was the best bond. I absolutely love the 007 series thru roger moore. I hope this works out and the stories can bring back the hardcore fans.

Brosnan fit the part well, but the movies were very campy. The only good one was Goldeneye and that's just because of the video game that came from it. This new one looks really good.

Love the Bond movies. What is difficult is there is almost no middle ground. They are either great or horrendous.

Casino Royale looks like one of the good ones from what I've seen. Daniel Craig looks like he'll be able to play the cold hearted side of Bond, but will he be able to pull off the charm?

It's a reboot of the series. Ignore the past 20 films - at the beginning of this film, Bond doesn't have his license to kill double-0 status yet.

my first bond experience in the theater was goldeneye and i loved it...i wish pierce woulda stayed on but im gonna give this guy a chance (brosnan is all i know for seeing bond in the theater)

the older ones just dont do it for me...maybe im too young, although i love old movies...i should rent a few of the older ones...any suggestions as to which ones are the best?

I am a big fan of the Bond films too. I personally think that Brosnan was the best then Connery. I don't even think that Timothy Dalton was bad, just the movies themselves were bad, the same with Die Another Day stunk bigtime.

I hated Roger Moore as Bond even though Octopussy was the first one I saw.

Pierce Brosnan brought it back, I thought he was the best bond since the the cool and calm Sean Connery.

I expect my James Bonds to be cool, calm and at least look the part. Dalton, and Moore failed there.

As with anything I'll give it a chance and see.

Brosnan shits on all other Bonds, the new guy has to live up to a tall order.
