Evidently the single player demo has been out for a few days (360). The MP demo just came out today.
I've never been a big R6 fan, I like to get to the meat of a game and just kill shit but this is really quite polished, looks great and is less fussy to play than the past versions I've tried. The PC version is supposed to launch alongside the 360 version so I'll probably pick that up instead.
Anyone else try it out? Whats the verdict?

i'm definitely looking forward to this game. i hadn't been really into this series because i'm too lazy to give orders to an entire group, but this game is going to be really good. the graphics look solid (especially the imported self face bump maps) and the gameplay looks nice and fluid in the videos i've seen. also i'm excited because i heard the multiplayer is dope with gigantic maps and also you can have up to FOUR in co-op/campaign which is ridiculous...

They've redesigned the command menu so its just simply a matter of point and click. I'm not crazy about babysitting AI teammates either but in this game its actually fun and easy.
never played any of them before, but I downloaded the demo, and it seems really good.

I'm so close to going out and picking up a 360 with GoW and this. The online play sounds insane! The cover system sounds amazing as well (they said its better than Gears!).

I've been playing the SP demo and it rocks, IMO. DLing the MP right now and look forward to picking the game up Tuesday.

from what i've played on the sp demo it's definitely not. in gears you just press a and you automatically hug the wall, wheras in r6:v you have to hold the left trigger.

It's a pain in the ass to get used to. Also, you're supposed to be able to shoot upside down, sideways etc when rappeling but they don't explain how.
Also, what do ya'll think of the graphics? Like Gears the character models are fantastic but the environmental textures all look like last gen. Its a strange effect. :icon_conf

I think it just needs time. in another year, there will probably be the sickest games we have ever seen graphics wise.

Just played a couple of hours of R6:Vegas and besides me sucking, it was pretty fun.
