I was going to set up my Wii to my router today, but after reading stuff about some Wii's getting bricked by a network error I'm thinking about holding off until Nintendo comes up with a general fix.

Any thoughts?

My Wii has been online since day one wih no problems. I did have to change the channel that my router broadcasts on, but that's it.

The bricking issue seems to be VERY rare right now, and they said if you dont have anything you need to save (theyre most concerned about Virtual Console games) then theyre shipping replacement systems out within a couple days. If you have stuff you need to save, then you have to send off your Wii to have it transferred over by Nintendo. Sounds like a week+ just to get the prepaid shipping label (Yes, Ninty is picking up your shipping charge apparently) and send it off to them. Another 3-8 days after that to get it back. Ouch.

Yea I created most of the Miis from 1up already, plus a Stormtrooper Mii and a Marcus Fenix Mii for the Gears of War fans out there. All of them all on mingle, so you should see them poping up in your parades pretty soon. After putting up my code, the only people who had registered me were Kevslider, Perch1019, Erok and AngelFuck. Not alot of Miis have popped up in my parade, although I do see Kevslider and Erok and Angelfuck sent me theirs.
Some of them were kind of generic (******, mexican, etc.) and no O&A Miis popped up yet, so register me!: 0356 1694 3767 1291

FYI, both people need to input eachothers codes in the adress book in order to register eachother as friends. If only one person enter's their friends code in the adress book, neither Wiis are registered.


Also, I added Monstercloud to my list.

Edit: the Mii flash creater works a little differently then the actual Mii creater. Some options are more fleshed out then the actual Mii creater, and Visa-versa.

I think you can edit the mii's name after you put it in your plaza. I already changed my name but Im not sure if it will change on other consoles by mingling or if I have to resend it. I dont think the mii's will show up in your sports games unless you move them from the parade to the plaza

I was at Wal-Mart last night and I was trying to figure out whether or not I wanted to buy a Nintendo Wii yet. I only want it for a few things, like Zelda and my old Zelda games from GC but I don't know.

All you need to do is add the numbers, you can put in your own names for people.

But the way it works is you have to add us, and we have to add you. IE, if you add me, my name will be gray on your list till I add you. You can't send anything untill we both added each other.

it only has av, svideo and component, and only component will give you 480p. no hdmi, no dvd playback(they may make a patch for it, modded wiis can do dvd). and yea, gamestop is notorious for selling 50 dollar "hd component wii cables"

No, it's just kind of stupid. You have to register each other's Wii codes independently. It isn't like a regular buddy list that will send a friend invite. They REALLY need to update that feature sometime in the firmware.

So, with the Wii you actually have to know the person and have them add your number.
