Anyone else get this? I got it yesterday, and I already have over 8 hours of gameplay in.

Great old school turn based RPG.

Oh, and am I a dork for naming my main character Cloud?

I'm hoping to score this for Christmas. I also want to butcher all the angry typing guys who bitch about the game's difficulty. The game was originally for the NES, back when you needed an IV drip of caffeine, 100% hand-eye coordination and a certain degree of masochism in order to be good at video games.

I prefer tougher RPGs like this than cheesy action/rpgs like Children of Mana, which itself is a good game, but not near as good as FF3.

Oh, and I loffed and loffed at the beginging when I was getting hit for 2 DAMAGE! 2 DAMAGE!!

Is this FF3 like it's numbered in Japan or FF6 in Japan, what we knew as FF3 in the states? Because if it's FF3 from the states, I will be picking that up as soon as I get out of work.

I <3 this game so much. While yea some parts might be hard to figure out where to go, its nothing thats been baffling and gonna make me throw the game against the wall. Its so much fun, the music is classic, and the graphics have totally impressed me for such a small lil game card. It reminds me alot of FF7 for some reason, except for the jobs thing, that is sooooo FFT which I freakin love.

I'm about 12 hours in now. Just beat the Tower of Owen. Next up in the Dwarf Island according to the guy in the tower. Tried it, got RAYPED by the boss. Leveling up all my characters now.

I really loved the difficulty when I played it awhile ago. It's amazing to me that people sit around and cry about hard games when it makes a game so much better.

the smartass O&A fan part of me laughed at the brutally honest Denis Leary-ish tirades, but the gamer part of me thinks whoever put that entire site together is an angry asshole who will never be satisfied with anything because he's too busy picking everything apart and magnifying the flaws, however major or minor, to astronomical levels.

OOooOOoo we're around the same spot. I'm right now with a Monk, Warrior, Red Mage and a Black Mage. Going by FFT strategy Monks are "ESSENTIAL TO THE WAAAAR EFFORT!" :icon_mrgr

i thought bits were funny but it seems he's just angry about all the ff7 fanboys and their websites.
I have no problem with him or others slamming anygame that I like but let's be real.
I agree it isnt the best written script since starwars or musically it isn't fuckin bach but cmon.

If you dont like FF7 thats cool but don't shit on people who do think it's ONE of the best games of the 90's (even if they are internet losers)

Another thing about that article - STAY AWAY FROM THE BOTTOM. The guy is an angry prick who posted a ton of major spoilers about FFXII. I was lucky enough to punch out before I read too much.

yeah i searched that site, and apparently it was made by a bunch of angry people who got their undies in a knot because Wikipedia didn't like their edits, so they decided to make their own Wiki-like site and trash everything from A to Z. they were probably trolls looking to fuck up Wikipedia, but Wikipedia bitchslapped them and they took it extremely personal.

and i just tried to check out that site again, but now it seems that i've either been banned from even visiting the site or it has been taken down, since i keep getting the HTTP 403 (Forbidden) error and it says You are not authorized to view this page with the credentials you've given. anyone else getting that?

Anyone know what level the jobs get "mastered" at? I thought it would've been like 20 or 25 but so far no luck, hopefully its not like 50 or something ridiculous.+

No idea, but I did change jobs again today. Kept my Warrior and Red Mage, but made a Thief and Monk. So the main character is the Warrior, the friend is the thief, the guard is the red mage, and the chick is the monk. Lovin it. Just leveling up so I can get through the Dwarf level

Just found out from someone on my DS board I frequent that its lv 99 per job. Its been so long since I've played a FF game I'd forgotten. That would explain my over 180+ hours on FFT when I played that. Apparently to max out the last level for each job you need a special item. Keep your eyes open.

Final Fantasy VI is one of the best games ever released on the SNES. It has all the charm of the series, a ton of memorable characters, great music, and one of the most maniacal sociopath villains in any RPG ever made - Kefka. For every cocktease "end of the world" scenario that you see a million times over in an epic story...

...Kefka actually DOES destroy the world a little more than halfway through the game. It was a massive "holy shit" moment in it's time, and still can have a dramatic impact today.

All of the FF Advance games have a lil' jukebox too, so you can enjoy the tunes whenever you want.

Post your friends code if you have this game. You can unlock the Onion Knight Quest as well as the quest for the Ultima Weapon if you use the MOGmail system in the game.

my code is : 034468576405

Thanks in advance to whomever post this for me.
