I'm a big fan of Tenacious D, and they seemed to drop the ball here. Did they really think all those repetative drug jokes were gonna fly? Master Exploder was fantastic, though.

Wow, I completely disagree with just about everybody there. I just got back from the movie and loved it. I was surprised myself, I figured it'd be decent or it'd totally blow, but somehow they pulled it off and made a really funny movie.

I saw it today, thought it was hysterical. Definitely more for fans of the D and the show than it is for the average person. I agree with Ron when he said they probably missed the boat for the movie between when the D was more popular, when JB wasn't such a movie star and even the overall tone of the movie seemed more suited for a couple of years ago. That being said, I still enjoyed it and I like how Jables jokes about the movie tanking on shows like "The Daily Show."
