Wayans Drops N-Bomb, Faces Fallout
Posted Dec 6th 2006 12:20PM by TMZ Staff

Damon Wayans became the first famous offender of the Laugh Factory's ban on the use of the n-word, and was fined and banned from the club for three months as a result, Wayans' publicist tells TMZ.
After the Michael Richards incident on November 17, the club decided to ban use of the word and fine comedians $20 for every offense. Wayans took the stage Sunday during a showcase of African-American comedians called "Chocolate Sundaes." Wayans opened his routine with the line, "Give yourselves a big round of applause for coming down and supporting 'N***** Night.'" According to the L.A. Times, Wayans used the word 15 more times during his 20-minute appearance.
That's a $320 contribution to the Laugh Factory's swear jar. Wayans' rep had no further comment other than to confirm the fine and the temporary ban.
Andy Dick drew fire earlier this week for using the n-word during an appearance at the Improv.
Ladies and gentleman, welcome to the 15 minutes of how to get your forgotten name in the spotlight trend

Damon Wayans doesn't need the publicity. It was everything comedy should be. He went right to the Laugh Factory, and made it clear, through his comedy, how fucking stupid Jamie Masada's new rules are. Damon Wayans banned for using the N-word? Hilarious. By the way, he sells out everywhere he goes, he gives two shits about the ban. Finally, someone takes a stand against this stupid PC bullshit. Props to Damon Wayans.

Good point sir, :action-sm I was going by initial reaction "Oh christ, another one". Yeah, you are right though. Damon has used the n-word through out his act FOR EVER.. I'm glad one Black Man finally stepped up and showed everyone how retarted this whole thing is.
How funny would it be if Paul Mooney was in the crowd

Holding KKK rallies in the middle of downtown suburbia and shouting white power and kill darky still acceptable
My heads gonna asplode
Believe it or not, damon might have a legitimate freedom of speech case here..
Banned from a place open to the public and fined money for saying a word in a comedy club which I'm sure you have to be 18 years or old because of "Vulgar" language. Does a estalishments "rules" hold a candle to the consitition though?
Closet lawyers anyone?

How long before the club shuts down?
Are they deliberately trying to attract the Margret Cho crowd?
Dat Phan should still be around.
I sure wouldn't go to a club that censor anybody.

Why not just have Wigger Wednesdays?
Because every wigger deserves to be laughed at. Who the hell would pay good money to do it?

Good for him. I love the fact that he just tossed in the $320 like it was nothing.

Pretty sad that these 3 hacky fags can only get attention now by yelling the N-word.

The owner of a private business can do whatever he wants. It is not open to the public like a park is or a sidewalk is. And even where the KKK protest they need to have a permit from the city. Now that nigg3r is a buzzword anyone that sues will never win. No one is forced to go on stage there, no one is forced to attend the shows. As long as he gives people notice beforehand he is pretty much golden.

That club owner came off like the world's biggest tool when he was on the show last week. How could he say with a straight face that 6,000 people were outside protesting and "ready to riot" during his apperance on Stevie Wonder's radio show? I doubt there are 6,000 people who even know Stevie Wonder has a radio show, let alone 6,000 people who give a shit about the club owner to the point that they'd protest. And, of course, the incident wasn't metioned on the news at all. What a delusional ass.
