Not only did i listen to his show for years, but i worked for the same station for a while and hung out with him on many occasions.
His show is great and he is a cool guy to boot. REAL radio guy. Has the same honesty to his show that we love about O&A.
BTW... Sally (the chick) is definitely not a hole. She's a bigger instigator than Wease is! Plus, if you like artsy-hippie chicks, she's pretty hot.
Wease on XM! Get him a Golden Ticket ASAP!

He was here in buffalo briefly till the station he was on went to that god awful jack format. He does take a bit to get used to though, god bless him and his complete lack of a radio voice

I'm super stoked to hear Wease on XM. Growing up and living in Rochester, he's an icon, and the reason I went to school for radio. I'm happy he's finally getting the shot to talk to a huge audience and show everyone why he should have been a monster radio star a long time ago.
He's an honest guy, gone toe to toe with Hoo-Hoo at the height of his popularity and won, kicked cancer's ass, and has killed in Rochester radio for a long time. I hope he gets a shot in the Saturday night rotation permanently, and eventually becomes a full time part of 202. (and by that, I mean a daily show on XM, either on 202 or the much rumored "Friends of O&A" channel)

I partially agree. Again, I'm a conservative, but Wease is way to good for Air America. He's a great radio personality, and needs a show on XM. I don't know how long his contract is for CMF, but someone need to pick him up nationally.

Just what I was thinking. It's a natural progression from Wease to O&A. The biggest difference between the shows is the cringe factor. There's no dangerous edge to Wease that there is to O&A, but if you're a fan of O&A or Ron & Fez, it's not that big a jump to Wease. The biggest difference is how politically outspoken he is.
That was the point of my response to Goblin, and I'm sure I'm a bit biased too. But if growing up with Wease pushed a bunch of people in the area into learning radio, and Wease pushed Opie into becoming Opie, he's not a hack. I'd like to know who else Wease is ripping his schtick from.

After reflecting on the show for a while I noticed something. Their are subtle similarities between opie and wease as far as show flow and conversation between himself and the others. In all with a few shows under his belt I bet he could have a decent show on xm I would listen.
As far as his politics I couldnt agree more. He has a keen eye for filtering out the bullshit and seeing the truth in the lies.

Was sick at home yesterday so I sat on the couch, watched hockey and listened to Brother Wease last night. Minus the first hour of kiss-ass radio, I thought the second two hours were kick-ass radio. He's a much more traditional-style of talk radio host, but way more open and honest than 99% of the rest of the jocks out there. Wease was most excellent.
Since I live in the Northwest, I was curious though about the Wease vs BJ Shea incident(s) that were quickly glossed over. Personally, I don't think it was fair for Wease to simply call BJ a Leykis clone and end it right there, even though he gave Shea his props. There must be more to the story. Luckily, Wease has the audio archived on his website:
Part 1: Wease plays audio of Wease vs BJ from Morning Show Bootcamp

Just about finished listening and I am digging it and will
support the program's run on XM. BW does fall in nicely in
between O&A & R&F. A little closer to Ronnie's stylings than
Op's, but plenty entertaining on his own. I can see why it
may not work for fans of O&A; and I most likely would not
have given it a shot without the O&A/XM influence,
but I am glad I did. And the loyalty to BW from Op
and vice versa is real nice to hear. Much more
like sincerity than ass kissing to me.

This was just a sample of Brother Wease and I am impressed.
He let the show happen. He did not spew some over prepared radio show. He went on cold for his first show in a strange studio and just rolled with it. He is definitely a radio professional that I would listen to regularly.
He did two things that have always made me turn the dial back to a show. He had a strong opinion and expressed it clearly. He was passionate about the topics. He made it clear over the radio what his emotions were about the subject.
Years ago, I listened to a radio show host for years every night, he had a strong opinion and was hacky but I enjoyed it at the time. He voiced an opinion I disagreed with and I stopped listening. I now realize I was stupid for not enjoying the show anymore. No two people are going to agree on every subject. (I am a Republican and Wease said nothing I disagreed with)
I am going to listen to more of him at http://www.brotherwease.com/
I will not write something stupid like “give him a show on XM” because I gave up on the golden tickets.
After listening to his show and with his experience in radio, the only hold up would be the contract negotiations.

I enjoyed the show, but like so many others my politics lean way to the right of his. His show was'nt fake and he certainly is'nt hack, but he immediately slows down the pace of his show when a well spoken right wing caller asks him something. This is the same thing right wing hosts do.
Then he attacks with the only weapon Liberals have, emotion. I will commend him for being well informed. I did enjoy the show and will certainly be listening again.
