Okay, here are a few things to help everyone out that is attending the Homeless Shopping Spree.

1) Getting there early.. For those of you who havent been there, the parking blows.. Especially on a sat 9 days before Christmas. Or the 1st day of Chanukah for all my draddle spinning friends..

2) Parking.. SInce parking will suck, here are a few things you need to know. There will be addition parking at the Mac Cali building. There is a shuttle service back and forth about every 5 minutes. Immediately next to the mall, is a professional building, i cant recall the name, but as soon as you pull into the lot there is a sign saying private property and you will be towed. They tow all day, so dont do it. Fire Lanes are no good. The police will be there all day, they are a good crew, but enfordement of the no parking/fire lanes will be strict.

3) Arrival. When we arrive, we will be arriving at the entrance to the right of Macy's underneath the overhang to the parking garage. This is very limited in space. So if your going to greet the bus, get there early and hang in an orderly manner.

4) Code of Conduct. The mall has a code of conduct. The things you need to adhere to are the following:

Standing or Walking, individually or in groups, in such a way as to cause inconvenience to other customers

Running, yelling, horseplay, fighting, mock fighting, throwing of any objects, littering, disorderly or disruptive conduct of any nature
Now being a large group, we are probably going to break all of those. But, if the mall management, security or police ask you to do something, do it. They will be contacting Kenny or myself to assist in any problems with a fan. If for any reason you act like a jackass and portray the radio show in a negative light, you will be BANNED from future O&A events and subject to Club Soda Kenny palming your head and dragging you from the location.

5) Be generous. The guys I have picked out to bring along are good guys. If you can help em out with a few bucks or buy them something please do. Granted they will most likely spend it on beer or piss on whatever you buy them when they pass out drunk, but its the thought that counts.

This will be a kick ass event. We just need everyones cooperation on such a hectic day. You always come through big for the boys and we appreciate that.

See you Saturday

take the Canoe Brook Road Exit or an earlier exit and follow 24a to the mall and back entrance to the parking garage...stay in right lane and do not move until you get to the light before the Country club forces turnoff then go left and past it and take first right after country club, then left into parking garage area. and go either all the way up or out to the far entrance where the bus will probably park....DO NOT PARK ON THE GRASS ON THE ROAD!!!! COPS TICKET AND TOW ALOT..

I doubt it. I believe Free FM wants first crack at airing it. Like the Halloween show. But there's already a thread for that I think

I could have swore I heard Opie say that it will be live on XM as well...

As for disorderly conduct, I'm sure the homeless people (including Tippy Tom) will on their best behavoir!

Let's see how many stores close their doors this time...last time at Short Hills Victoria's Secret wouldn't let anybody in.

If anybody wants to carpool or caravan from the Wayne NJ area, email me.

I'm going to assume you know how to get into Jersey from L.I. The easiest (though perhaps not the fastest) way will be to cut through Manhattan and go through Lincoln Tunnel. Once there, take Turnpike South and look for I believe Exit 14, also leading to the Newark Airport. You're looking for signs to I-78 West which you will be taking for about 10 minutes and staying on your right in the Local Lane eventually heading into Route 24. Once the road vears to the right into 24 it's the second exit off it onto JFK Parkway or right into the Mall which you will see on your right.

Do get there early because the parking does truly suck balls!!!

:action-sm

[edit] P.S. Holland Tunnel turns into I-78 which may be even easier.

[edit 2] aaaaah FUCK. I typed EAST in the post... Fixed, now.

Where do we get drinks at in this frilly foo-foo mall?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mall_at_Short_Hills

The Mall at Short Hills was home to the first Opie and Anthony "Homeless Shopping Spree" during which two New York City talk radio hosts unleashed a small bus-load of homeless men and women into the mall. Listeners were encouraged to give money to the participants in order to lure the men and women into the more upscale stores.

I second that, JAB is probably your best bet. Legal is too small and too posh and Paparazzi sucks.

Tell me, should i try to bring some friends with me? Or should i try to make some new O&A friends at "The Mall At Short Hills", considering ive been a complete failure in getting my current friends hooked on the virus.

Question for Mr. Cop or others in the show:

Are they getting to the mall at 2pm tomorrow or are they broadcasting the drive over like they did last year meaning they wont get to the mall until 3?

I haven't heard anything on that, I'm trying to plan my day tomorrow and that will help a bunch.

A well deserved kudos to Keith. This must be a HUGE undertaking what with the logistics of getting these guys together (I used to be a derelict myself so I know first hand :icon_mrgr ) getting them to not kill each other, putting his reputation on the line hoping that no one gets out of hand, gets fucked up and he ends up on the evening news, etc.

Know that what you are doing is well appreciated my friend! I can't wait till tomorrow :action-sm
