cabela's merlino wool. not itchy at all and warm as hell. also maby your shoes are too small. if you cant easely wiggle your toes in your boots your boots are too tight, get smaller socks or bigger boots. for years i had cold wet feet, now i pay big bucks for sox and boots

my socks are close to $10 a pair, and I usually buy a new pair of Sorel boots every three years, and that's another $200. But if it keeps me warm, I don't care what it costs. For me it's not the cold that bothers me, it's the wind that comes when it's cold up here. Nothing to get -30 with a windchill of -50

now were talking, it dosent get quite that cold here but i know your pain. my last pair of boots cost me a bout 125 and those socks are around 10 a pair also, i have one pair of fleece socks that i cant ware because they make my feet sweat

I was just looking at those online, they're good? I bought a few pairs of socks last year that were supposed to be the shit and they were nothing special. My shoes fit fine, I think I have bad circulation in my hands and feet.

I might have to buy some gay assed "powered" shits that actually PRODUCE heat.

im an avid ice fisherman ( won 2 tourneys last year ) also in construction. warm dry feet are a must merlino wool kicks ass and boots with at least 800 grain thinsulate. i have boots with retractable spikes for walkin on ice

I don't mind sweating feet. I wear my winter socks in the summer as well. My feet melt in my work boots but at least they are comfy.

no 1911 yet. i missed the gunshow at valley forge so im going to have to hunt around some of the local gunshops around here, im in no rush, i have the money in its own special envlope and i add to it every once in a while.

and yes the merlino woolsocks are well worth it, the fleece ones made my feet sweat but something awfull they have no wicking action so in the long run your feet end up cold they suck, even when i just ware them around the house they make my feet sweat i hate them
