software to download videos?

I'd like to have the commercial outtakes and cock box on my hard drive.
The downloader I use for YouTube videos doesn't work.
Does anyone know what program will allow this?

Hey guys, I'm not sure on a program, but I have another way.

Just shoot it off the screen with a video camera. It will look just as good. LCD screens are the best to shoot off of. CRTs can give you lines going through the video.

Use Firefox and the VideoDownloader extension, simple as f.

The Firefox extension Unplug works very well. Then I use a program called Total Video Converter to take the downloaded files and turn them into just about any format you can think of.

if anyone uses linux, someone made a nice youtube downloading script called "youtube.dl" (http://www.arrakis.es/~rggi3/youtube-dl/), its constantly updated.

usage, type this at terminal:

youtube-dl (fill in with youtube url, without the parentheses)

downloads youtube's ".flv" file then u can easily converted it to other formats (avi, mpeg), if someone wants those command lines, i will list them.

i use that for you tube with no problems, but can't use it for the OnA videos.

Shit!In snagit there is a button that looks like a microphone. You have to click that to record audio. Plus you have to have your windows recording options set right, i think.

keepvid.com lets you dl all youtube vids in flv format.

VLC Media player will play them.
