I want to introduce a higher stake game once a month so please take the poll so it gives me a good idea of when and what price. The poll is set to end around the 16th so it gives me time to set things up and promote the game

Played that $20,000 free roll in Tunica Thursday. My participation lasted all of 13 minutes. 9 hands and I was OUT. Had QQ. Made a big raise preflop and knocked out all but 1. Flop was low, mixed. Opponent checked, I went all in and got an immediate call. (oh shit) Yeah. You guessed it. AA. Then he pulled another A on the turn. DEAD DRAW. and Bye Bye Chesta. One consolation. The wife won $500.00 on a penny slot while I was being humiliated. Did you know that you don't even get e tee shirt for "first out"? I played another 2 hrs at a ring game but never recovered my dignity. Had a blast though.

Beware of those early game Pocket Pairs, If there not pocket aces or you dont flop a set and your sitting there with just a higher pocket pair than whats showing up on the board, just sit back and test with a pot bet. At least you will know what you have to deal with. If your opponent comes right back with a fast call or with a raise, you will know something is up. Unless your oppenet is a compleate idiot, chances are he is trying to suck you in with a better hand. He certainly wouldent be bluffing so earley in the game unless he was an Idiot

It was my first experience at a large tourney and being a freeroll I was way too loose. I also never had 5000 chips in front of me before. I should have stuck to my usual sit back and wait strategy but what the hell. If I had to buy in to the tourney I would never have made such a rookie move. Live and learn.

OK, I just requested the game. It sould be posted on Full Tilt with in 24 hours. This game will be in addition to the normaly schedualed game on Sunday. Mondays game is set up the same way as Sunday's game with the buy in, game type, password ect ect.. Hopfully they "Full Tilt" wont cock block me with the name of the tournament. LONDON (Reuters) - U.S. prosecutors have delivered a severe blow to online gambling companies that are flouting a U.S. ban on Internet gambling by arresting two founders of payment processor NETeller.

Britain's NETeller closed its U.S. Internet gambling services on Thursday, wiping out over 65 percent of its business, after two of its founders were arrested there this week.

NETeller is the latest target of a U.S. crackdown on online gaming, which began with the arrest of BETonSPORTS Chief Executive David Carruthers in Texas last July.

NETeller's two founders, Canadians Stephen Lawrence, 46, and John Lefebvre, 55, have been charged with handling billions of dollars in illegal gambling proceeds. Both face a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

Online gaming giants such as PartyGaming and Sportingbet pulled out ahead of the U.S. ban last November, but privately owned rivals such as Pokerstars, Full Tilt Poker and Bodog carried on taking wagers illegally, often using NETeller to process their payments.

"This is the first piece of news that will really hurt the likes of Pokerstars and Full Tilt," said analyst Tejinder Randhawa at Evolution Securities.

"If you look at the gambling chat rooms, you'll see NETeller was one of the main payment methods," he added.

According to gambling portal Gambling911.com, Full Tilt Poker depended on NETeller for 75 percent of transactions, and the world's biggest site, Pokerstars, used NETeller for around 60 percent of wagers.

BUSINESS MAY SHIFT

Canada's ESI Entertainment said on Wednesday its Citadel payment processing unit was also pulling out of the United States.

Online gambling companies use roughly a dozen payment processors that are smaller than NETeller.

Pokerstars declined to comment, and executives at Full Tilt could not immediately be reached.

Online gaming companies have been doing business for many years in the United States, where the law was discouraging but ambiguous until a full ban in November. They were usually listed in London and located in offshore jurisdictions such as Antigua and Costa Rica.

Money transfer companies such as NETeller, based in the Isle of Man, allow gambling companies to transfer money collected from U.S. gamblers to bank accounts outside the United States.

As U.S. gamblers abandon Pokerstars and other privately owned sites, the remaining Europeans and Asians on those sites may start drifting back to listed rivals PartyGaming and Sportingbet, analysts said.

"PartyGaming previously lost a lot of higher yielding non-U.S. players, who saw higher liquidity on the higher limit tables and tournaments on Pokerstars," said analyst Andrew Lee at Dresdner Kleinwort.

"PokerStars may now start to lose some of these players, given the payment processing restrictions and struggle to stimulate growth," he added. "This could be good for PartyGaming by shifting non-U.S. players back."

PartyGaming shares were up 1.6 percent at 32 pence, and Sportingbet shares were unchanged.

I have a question. Could we use those prepaid Visa gift card things to deposit money? I know we cant use our credit cards,but if its one of those prepaid Visa gift card and Visa is accepted around the world,how could they refuse it? Also gift cards dont have your name on them, so even if the gov't is doing this bank records check shit they were talking about on the show, it shouldnt matter as no names would be on the transaction. I was dead to ONE OUT IN THE DECK on the turn and spiked it on the river. I WAS a 60-40 favorite over about any hand that calls me, before you question my sanity pre-flop. 99 percent of the time, opponent folds there and you get the blinds + table image of a loose maniac/someone not to bully (which is key in NLO8 - you either be aggressive or get smashed.)

That's the secret to why this game is so profitable! Even pot limit omaha/8.

People WAYY overplay low-only hands, and, overvalue hands that are strong in holdem but weak in Omaha.

In this case based on past experience I knew this opponent fit this mold. He was primarily a holdem player and bet very hard with a flush on a paired board, a straight on a 3-flush board, etc. I had also seen the opponent call a pre-flop allin with an a2xx hand. Against AAxx, especially an AAxx where there is another low card, he is a huggge dog needing to hit the flop hard. Watch a no-limit O8 table and you'll see people do this trick at least 2-3 times an hour - you'll see an all-in preflop for what seems to be absolutely no good reason - from mid to late position. But, once an hour, you'll see why this happens - a bad player will make the call with a low-only hand, or even better, with KKxx - leaving them for all intents and purposes needing one of the two case kings or a miracle flop for 2 pair using their xx cards.

You really have to let go of everything you "know" from NLHE, but that's what makes the game so crushable - one or two of the people at your table will know how to play, the rest are going to be approaching the game wrong - very, very wrong.

OK, Good news! at least for the moment. I have started the "process" of opening an epasporte account. Just follow the instructions and take note on the special provision for US citizens under the country selection on the fill out section of the account. Basically it says that U.S. Citizens can not load there account using a credit card. But you can withdraw money out of your personal account as a wire transfer.

After you fill the first page out correctly it will direct you to another page that will give you three choices. Load account with Credit Card, Bank Account, Or Cash, meaning that you would probably have to send a cashiers check to them.

Pick Bank account and fill out the fields, then you wait for a few days to verify your bank account with them. This is done like Firepay, where they send you a couple of small deposits and you later tell them how much they sent you.

I am still in the verification stage and I will update as soon as I actually make a deposit to my FTP account

I really cant say much yet about ePassport but so far I havent had any snags signing up. I still have no Idea what your talking about, Are you saying useing it like a wire transfer directly to FTP useing something like Western Union or MoneyGram? Another question is do you have a MasterCard or Visa logo on your debet card? , and last question is do you land up useing your Debit Cards pin # when you make the tansactions? If you have one of these you can direct deposit to FT without using a third party to process your transaction. Since it is money that you are withdrawing from your own account and not the credit card companies they really don't have much to say about it.

I have been explaining Netteller and Firepay for so long, more than a year and it was allways known that these sites didnt take Credit cards or Debet Cards from US Citizins, or at least in my case when I tryed to personally use one myself. It wasnt only me either. So when you said you could use you debet card or check card you DIDNT MENTION TO CLICK ON THE VISA or mastercard ICON at Full Tilt. I was under the assumption that because Firepay and Netteller didnt take Credit/debit cards, why would I even try it directly.


All I was asking you to explain the first time is basically how and what to navigate to do this on FTP. Because other people plus myself were so convinced that we couldent use anything to do with a credit card.

e-passport works just great. i was hesitant because i thought you had to get the card - i was mistaken. you may sign up for the virtual visa. it worked for my initial deposit.

OK, I am still in the process of loading my e passporte account but because I have it linked to my bank account and I have just verified the account it tells me I now have to wait up to 7 buisness days for the load deposit to clear. As soon as that happens I sould be able to use it to reload my FTP account. when everything is in order with e Passporte I am sure I should be able to withdraw from FTP and get my money with in a week.

I can say from experience this week, that at least in my case, I was able to get EPassporte up and running from scratch in about an hour. Here's what I did..

I have a Bank Of America checking account with a debit card. The debit card is a Visa card.

Here's where I think this is unique, but if you're a BoA customer, you may well be in luck as well. BoA Visa debit/check cards can be enrolled in the "Verified By Visa" website Visa offers to add an extra password layer to any use of the Visa online. I have this card registered with this service.

Once I got to the part of the epassport signup where you register a load source, I entered the card number from the debit card. Epassporte then sends a microtransaction to the debit card. It showed up within 2 minutes on my card - I just logged into the BoA online banking page in a new window, got the amount listed as a pending transaction, entered it on the epass signup page, and I was DONE. No 7 day wait. From what I hear on some of the poker forums like 2+2, this seems to be common for BoA debit cards using verified by visa. I then loaded the epassporte account and the funds were available immediately - I made small deposits on both FTP and Stars so that epass would be on file with them and usable as a withdrawal mechanism.

There is a little more to this, though: I signed up for the physical epass card (it costs $35, but I think it's a must have) which will let me get cash at ATMs from my epass account. This allows me to bypass linking to a bank account directly altogether! No 7 day waits for withdrawls, just like Neteller, I essentially get my money in hand just as fast as the poker site processes withdrawals (for FTP it's usually 15 minutes to a few hours, Stars is almost immediately). If you set up two load sources on your epass account, you can then spend what I believe is a one time $10 charge to increase your daily ATM withdraw limit from $300 to $600. I did this pretty much right away, YMMV.

Now, the FINE PRINT - the catch - this couldn't have been THIS easy, right?

IF you use ANY BoA account to send money to Epass, this includes the verification microtransaction, your account WILL be flagged for suspicious activity and frozen. DO NOT PANIC. This happens to EVERYONE, and from the BoA rep I spoke to, we're talking thousands and thousands of their customers per DAY. Anyway...within minutes of the verification microdeposit and initial load transaction hitting BoA, you will receive an email if you're signed up with online banking, or a phone call, telling you the account is flagged. You just answer their security questions to verify your identity, then answer questions about the amounts of any transactions from the current day, including epassporte. Politely and nicely tell them you authorize Epass and they will instantly lift the freeze on you and you're on your way.

I mentioned a few weeks back about a then-new processor called "MyWebATM" but I would definately, having looked into it, strongly advise against signing up. They seem to want a TON of personal info like SSN, drivers license #, etc etc, and pull your credit to generate questions to ask you to verify your identity. Too sketchy, too risky.

Epass has actually been around for some years and, while perhaps having slow tech support, seem to be just as up-and-up as Neteller, which we all used for the longest time.

So get set up, load a few thousand onto FTP, and get ready for the V-Day Massacre!

No, I think its just that people are not trying hard enough to set up there own account. I have explained it as well as you and dougmanct, and even after I broke it down in BABY STEPS it still alludes people.

OK, I am still in the process of loading my e passporte account but because I have it linked to my bank account and I have just verified the account it tells me I now have to wait up to 7 buisness days for the load deposit to clear. As soon as that happens I sould be able to use it to reload my FTP account. when everything is in order with e Passporte I am sure I should be able to withdraw from FTP and get my money with in a week.

Heres the skionny on your banks not letting you deposit with your debit.. in my case you need to call your bank, and tell them to unlock, so to speak, your card, mine was locked until i cslled because of an online gaming co. they said"we thought it might be fraudualant charges sir" blah blah, just what i had 2 do, see you wednesday, i had 2 fly across 40 in california to get to l.a last night, couldn't afford to stop, mainly cuz i spent 10 hrs at rte 66 in n.m winning 1500 in a 1-2 nl game FRRRRRRRRRRUNKISSSSSSSSSS

Hi Randy, Just want to publicly welcome you to the most fucked up individuals that one message board can offer.

I know the past 2 months have been hard on us online poker players and were getting at the point where we are chomping at the bit just to reload our Full Tilt Accounts. And that's not to mention how we can get our money out of FTP either.

In the past, I got involved with a grass roots political organization ABATE of MA that got dissolved due to conflict of interest of another Massachusetts motorcycle rights group. It landed up that we were fighting the same cause so it was like a friendly merger. Since that time, Massachusetts has become a more motorcycle friendly state with bills being passed like Nellys bill which separates the way MA. teaches there drivers. There are now separate booklets and test for the motorcyclist as well as more awareness questions and information to the regular automobile driver. Any new driver here in MA knows what I mean.

Anyways the point I am trying to make here is that as online poker players that enjoy playing poker from the comfort of there home ,its time to band together!
As a democracy we don't need the government to save us from cutting ourselves with butter knifes. Its safe to say that most of you that play in my tournament are responsible, intelligent, "law abiding" citizens that can play poker without becoming a compulsive gambler and we don't need the government to tell us otherwise. The US government tried this once before and it failed miserably! Remember prohibition? Well the fucking Kennedy's sure did!

It sickens me to think that these cops were more concerned about breaking up a small, friendly game of poker than the crackhouse that runs openly less than a mile down the street! I guess the message that they're sending is, "smoke crack, and we'll look the other way, but DON'T YOU DARE PLAY POKER!" On a side note...The cops deny that ANY monies were confisctaed from the game, but the guy who sent me the email claims that they took over $1200 from one of the chip cases. I sent him an email back telling him that if the cops found no money, then THERE IS NO CRIME!

Anyway, I'll try to get some funds on the site by tomorrow. Shouldn't be any problem, I have click2pay so I just need to load my card and put it on FTP. What time is the tourney? Let me know and I'll get it taken care of. BTW...Is there a password?

my epassporte signup really didn't take long at all. I could have gotten it done in probably less than 10 minutes. the only reason it took me till the next day was because of my bank's customer service office wasn't open on Saturday when I signed up.

Every Sunday Night at 8:00 PM EST, is the only regular weekly game. All other games are special games that I set up about once a month that is a higher stake game. The next one will be based around St. Patrics Day so stay tuned for more details as I will announce it and plug it about a week before the game.
