Ok everyone. Here is the scoop. FBA took a real bad hit.

Umm, yeah, so this is what we are looking at. As it stood, Inky informed me last Tuesday that we were dead, and without backups, we would have to start from scratch. Inky was a beaten man. I felt for him, he lost all his Citystyle sites in this also. So, a decision was made that day. There was hope that we might be able to retrieve the content, so Inky and I decided that it would be best to wait it out, rather then start off with an empty board.
We can tell you right now, that everything has pretty much failed. FBA should be back up on 1/5/07, but it will not be from this week.
BUTTTTTTTTTTT!!!! It will not be from scratch either. As always, the GREAT "Bail FBA out of shit" guy, r00twayne, has a backup of the site from when we upgraded in 9/06. Fuck you guys, its better then nothing.
All I can say is this, and this is not bullshit, this is heartbreaking all around. We have done SO much in the past few months that the potential of losing it, left us no choice but to wait out the week.
Myself, Inky, and all the mods put our asses into FBA, on a daily basis, and losing that much work is, honestly, discouraging.
We need the members more then ever now. We need you guys to help out, and remind us of changes we made, additions to the site, and anything else we forget, to get us back up to speed.
This will take a little time to get back up, so please, everyone, get the word out through other boards, myspace and Paltalk, that we are on the way back.
********We may even have a forum back up around 3-4pm EST today.********
You may have to re-register, you may have lost Rep, :) but remember, its about the fun of the board.
Thanks again to all of you for the patience this week. We really have done everything, but this looks like what we will have to do. I have no doubt we will be back on top in NO time!

I guess they were self-hosting as most hosting companies make a backup for you. But they said on a post on this site it was issues with the hosting company; sucks for them, I only go there for the occassional show recap but it still sucks.

With FBA, even their back up servers crashed (something about too many ads and merch sections). So if the same thing happened to WB, we'd still be screwed.

When I used to come to wb all the time, often times it would be down for maintainance or "server backup in progress"... I BELIEVE, but I haven't seen either messages since stingray passed the torch to zagman.
