Because I do. It is ridiculous, and douchey, but I like classical music and even that hokey kind of stuff.

I love classical music, I like lute arrangments for classical guitar. I hate stings lute playing, it stinks even when hes not singing and I cant get "toniiiiigggghhhhht" out of my head

The lute should be used as an ass :rap: . It is terrible. I dont want to watch Joe Montana throw a tennis ball.

Nope. Just you.
Seriously though, it's not my favorite kind of music. But, I won't jump on the hating bandwagon. It's not horrible, just not something I would seek out.
How anyone can really be surprised by how eclectic a musician becomes with age is the real mystery.
I defy you to name one old musician that doesn't have his/her quirks.

i think that stings voice is very good and without the long drawn out shitty lyrics, he could absolutely make that music VERY popular. and he could really do big remaking some of the police songs with a "lute lite" style.
but the way it is currently, i think it is unlistenable self serving dogshit.

I've always liked Sting, although I haven't really heard any of his lute stuff, but I've always liked classical music (listening and playing on guitar and piano). Although I've never liked opera.
I know who like that shit - faggits

I listen to some classical music as well, but the lute is ...well it sucks.

If the man wants to experiment with stuff and do something different, let him. I might not necessarily like lute music (I actually don't ]hate it but wouldn't listen to it on a regular basis) but an artist shouldn't be forced just to perform the hits if he has a desire to do something different.

If he has right to experiment I have right to say he is douche and should diiiieeeee

I would LOVE to smack Sting upside his head with a lute and do +10 damage.

The only time 'Sting' and 'Lute/Loot' should ever be in the same sentence, is during a news story involving a SWAT team and Negro's at a footlocker.

To me it sounds like he is being castrated, but like little jimmy said you have to have some respect for someone who would rather do songs of the lute from couple of centuries ago then reunite with his old bandmates.

Anyone who plays a lute should dip it in AIDS and fuck their mother with it, then jump in front of a subway train. Well thats just an idea off the top of my head.

I'm not a big fan of Sting and his lute, mostly because I don't like the way he sings the songs. The actual lute parts are nice though.
I absolutely agree with you about O&A discussing music though. Even when they shit on music I don't even like I get the douche chills because they're so uninformed on anything that isn't/wasn't mainstream, lowest common denominator rock/metal. Emo sucks but they don't even know what it is. Opie's constant "there are no good bands anymore" is absolute bullshit. There's been far more good music released in the last few years than there ever was in the early-mid 90's but you just have to look a little deeper.

Everyone on WB's metal forum agrees that Ope has awful taste in music. Norton has taste, going back to Mercyful Fate, but then he begins to go along with Ope and it starts to look bad.
