Absolutely. I knew this was gonna be a good one.
Great first half...this opening drive to start the second half will determine a lot, I think.
If the Eagles go down and score, the Saints are in trouble...if the Saints stop them 3-and-out or force a turnover in Eagles territory, all the moment will swing back their way.

Sorry roche, 2nd half is a bit more intense and I was focused on the game. I think it's funny that they showed it. They made a point of her center screen and then stayed with it. By the way, my children were in the room so this should become the next Janet Jackson thing, right? I think it's a nothing moment that will probably get some attention. You have to question why they focused on, and then stayed with, that shot though. Oh, and I thought she was cuter when they showed her than she looks in that pic.

They've brought that 350 pound guy (Nick Cole?) in several times this year in short yardage or goal line situations. I think he's only been a decoy though. You don't want a lineman fumbling in the playoffs, but maybe they should work on that play since they have it in the book and we don't have a short yardage, move the pile guy.

So Bears v. Saints for the NFC championship
N.Y. Johnny

earlier in the week I really wanted New Oreans to win, but the Eagles fought it to the end (Minus that last 4th down) and I was wanting them to take it.
Too bad Philly, good season. Left for dead and with the Cowboys crowned NFC EAST champs to this end in the Divisionals, thats nothing to be ashamed of, could be worse you guys could be the Texans or Lions.

OH MY GOD!!!! I never thought I would ever see this in my lifetime, we're one game from the Super Bowl, oh man. Congratulations Eagles on a great year and giving us a good fight, but, we've got bigger and better things to look forward too. Bye Eagles:action-sm
Congratulations sir. If anyone in the NFC can take down the Bears it will be Peyton.

Good luck dude. I have no hate for the Saints. The broadcasters who have to keep pushing them is another thing, but you have a good team. That's an impressive offense. You've got a good shot of coming out of the NFC. Oh, and if you see Hollis Thomas, tell him we could have used him tonight.
Yeah, as an Eagles fan you can't be too disappointed.
This wasn't a Cowboys situation where everyone proclaimed Tony Romo the lord and savior of the world and all of ESPN was handing them the Lombardi Trophy after Week 10.
You lose the guy who was potentially the MVP, still run off six games at the end to win the division, and almost win a road game in the Divisional round...hell of a season, considering the circumstances.
Saints played a great game and deserved to win.
Now I'll have to decide what will be more annoying to me during the Super Bowl in deciding who I want to come out of the NFC...endless pieces about the Saints single-handedly making up for Katrina, or this sudden resurgence in Bears pride.

Oh well, sucks for them
Sean Payton is a great fucking coach too. Its no fluke the guy wins Coach Of The Year.
Sean Payton's always been a phenominal football mind.
From Andy Reid's first two year, 1999-2000, when Payton was the Giants' offensive coordinator, he owned Andy Reid, but more specifically, Jim Johnson's defense.
Then when the Eagles broke through from 2001-2004, Andy and JJ stepped it up against Payton's offenses between the Giants & Cowboys.
Now, it looks like the balance has swung back.
But Sean Payton vs. Jim Johnson has been one of the best coaching rivalries for years, despite no one knowing about it.
By the way, I love Towelie ripping off my gimmick...and I love, that despite Garcia's homosexual lisp, Towelie obviously hasn't seen the hot piece of ass Garcia keeps at home.

Let the Saints have this, people are tying it in with the Hurricane Katrina crap, forget about that, this team has been the perennial loser since I was a kid and they now have a shot a getting to the bowl. And, that is because they are a good team that wants to win.
I actually saw someone post that the calls were lopsided because the officials wanted the Saints to win. This ain't American Idol, they don't give shit away in the NFL because it looks good for ratings.

Exactly.
As far as the officiating goes, it's been terrible all season long.
I've seen plenty of bad calls or a lack of them in many games but it
still comes down to who played better and that was the Saints tonight.
Their run game was unstoppable and that was the Eagle's undoing.

I don't resent the Saints getting theirs.
My problem is the media beating us over the head with it. We get it...there is a correlation between that team, the people of New Orleans, and Katrina...we're not a bunch of mongoloids, we see the crowd, and we hear what the team says about it.
Yet every single one of these football shows put on their "Emmy" hat and try to produce these ingenuine (on the part of the media), awful "The Saints are saving New Orleans" pieces.
The Saints are a phenominal story...the media going overboard tarnishes it, though.

"I felt a little bad about Donte' being traded because I felt it was a little my fault I didn't instill more professionalism in him," Horn told AP. "If they thought he had more professionalism, he'd still be here now."
During mini-camp in June, Stallworth was sent home for a day for missing a team meeting. He then missed a number of practices early in training camp while nursing a sore hamstring and usually practiced with the second string receivers from then on.
T.O. gets shit on in the media non stop, but heres another example of a me-first player that got dumped because of some 7th rounder out of Hofstra...

Saints will not be the offensive powerhouse in the cold weather next week. No worries.
BTW, thanks to the Eagles for covering tonight, doubled down on them after my brilliant decision to take the Ravens earlier.
Once again Towelie, you talk like a madman.
Terrell Owens ripped apart three teams...threw three seperate QBs under the bus in his career. And he's a media whore.
Donte Stallworth acted like an asshole in New Orleans, got traded to Philadelphia and as far as anyone can tell, has acted like a complete professional.
There's no correlation between the two situations.

Just finished reading this thread. Fuck, I got home at 6:30 and fell asleep right before the game. Had a 65" DLP HDTV sitting unused in the living room.
Looks like Madden 07 was close as the official results on that mirrored the 3rd quarter score but missed the final field goal and touchdown.
New Orleans is home to the 8th largest Vietnamese population in the US and ironically their part of New Orleans East had the smallest amount of flooding.
And if the NFL wanted the Saints to win then they'd have done so last year. But now we have a good team and a good coaching staff.

Trust me, we Saints fans are sick and tired of hearing it every fucking week too. I watched the game at a friend's house and we talked about the same thing. How long are they going to beat this shit over our heads? Like there is a single person who has never heard of the hurricaine hitting the New Orleans area. Anyway, New orleans got off light compared to southern Mississippi and the Slidell, LA area.
It was a very good game. Good job Eagles in making it that way. Now, let's just hope the Seahawks win today.

THis is the reason I felt myself rooting for the Saints. I feel for their fans they've suffered long with this and never had anything to look forward to, almost like what the Jets have had for a while, just inept management and bad coaching.
This business that the media plays on is just sick, but then again thats why they're the media and we hate them so much for exactly doing this type of bullshit thing all the time. The latch onto something, Katrina in this case, and shove this down our throats over and over.
