I have to go with 94, the energy in that building was unbelievable and had been building up for over 40 years.

Willis Reed limping into Game 7/Frazier's performance in said game should have been number 1.

I havent watched 10-6 yet because it's in my TiVo but the ad in the Daily News today roooned it for me.

It's strange that they didn't even speak of Willis Reed limping on the court. Did that happen in LA or is that another ranking down the road.

LJ's 4 pointer was a great moment- glad to see that in the top 20.

#1 Should be the '94 Cup.

Missing from the list:
1) Carmelo Anthony decking that scrub from the Knicks
2) Giant Opie and Anthony banner is hung on the outside of the building

Went to the theater at MSG tonight for a special showing of the top 5 with a bunch of special guests that included Mark Messier, Adam Graves, Mike Richter, Willis Reed, Walt Frazier, JOE FRAZIER, and a bunch of others. About 80% of the audience was made up of hardcore Rangers fans.

And the winner is...

The 1970 Knicks champions. Bullshit, bullshit, bullshit. The Rangers came in 2nd. Fight of the century #3, Concert for NY #4 and Pope John Paul II #5.

I may be biased... but FUCKING COME ON. If you respond to this, try to use the spoiler tabs as well..

The show can be seen on saturday at 7pm on NBC 4 and monday at 10pm on MSG. Both in HD.

Def '94! First cup in 54 years, that's pretty impressive. I was actually at game 5 when they were up 3 games to 1, but they blew it and the next game. The place was electric! I paid for the whole seat, but only used the edge (hrmpf hrmpf)

between the kincks and rangers, how many championships have been won won by these teams while playing at this building?
forget other events, for such a famous venue (because its in NY) not alot of big games here

I loved LJ's 4 point play. What a great moment in Knicks and basketball history. The shot of the crowd going crazy was unreal.

The Rangers Stanley Cup.

But, I was there for the Gretzky natural Hat Trick, so that ranks up there in my personal favorites.

I'm glad the Knicks got the honors. Willis Reed coming off the bench on one leg and Frazier insuing performance, nothing can top that. It was 14-15 years before I was born and it gives me goosebumps to watch (as lame as that sounds). The Knicks have to be ahead of the Rangers because, like it or not, NY is a bigger basketball town than it is a hockey town. If the Knicks could ever get that one player to return them to glory (which is why I wanted LeBron so bad before he re-upped with perpetial loser of everything Cleveland) he would be worshipped like a God and make Derek Jeter look like Alvaro Espinoza.

The Knicks might not have won much, but there was some classic games played at MSG. Their battles with the Bulls for all those years that Jordan smoked us, the Finals against Houston, the Finals that the Spurs gassed us in. I dont know much about the Rangers because I dont watch hockey, but the Knicks have had some crazy moments there. It was also about the "moments" not the games. So LJs 4-point play and Starks stuffing the ball in Jordans face qualify. They also had the entire Patrick Ewing era (even though the draft lottery was probably fixed) but it was like number 42 or some shit.

I did not see the show, but I have been to a couple at MSG that should be there. Bernard King returns as a Bullet and scores 50 and I was at four of the 12 Billy Joel concerts including the last two.

The Iron Sheik takes the WWF title from Bob Backlund in '83. I can't believe I didn't see that anywhere.

Not sports, but at #35 was the filming of the concert footage for The Song Remains The Same in '73.
