Stay away from these televisions they blow.

Mine just cut out again and is flashing codes and making a fucking ticking sound... I remember TV's lasted like 20 fucking years when i was a kid.

Mayby America should step up and start building quality shit again like we use to... people are sick of buying crap.... I see it everyday in Plumbing the materials are CRAP!

Philips, magnavox, sharp, sylvania, toshiba, and zenith are all shit. Basically all made by the same company and made with cheap shitty parts. I have dealt with a lot of returned TVs and these are the most commonly returned because of the various problems.

I got a Philips 30" CRT widescreen HDTV that has been trouble-free (knock wood).

Had good luck with Zenith in the past. Every Sony I ever had ended up blowing the picture tube. Panasonic has always been a solid performer.

Ya know I always loved the Panasonic... I was told by an electronics friend,,,, Actualy a TV repairman friend,,,, We spend much with him< to buy the fucking Phillips. He mighta been searchin for scooby snacks... Sinn do some reseach before youre warrantees up.... Seems to me Phillips is fucking people. I also read The BBB is on Phillips ass, so a letter to them may be helpful on a large purchase... My TV is two years old only cost like 300 bucks but so far 200 in repairs and its broke now....

The bitch is dragging the fucking thing to the tv shop its huge. gotta weight 150 lbs and its the awkwardness.

my Phillips tv worked fine for almost 2 whole years before it just wouldn't turn on again. I have yet to take it in for repair. it'll get there eventually.

I have a Phillips TV and every once in awhile the picture will go away. Screen goes completely black, and even pushing the power button does not turn off the TV. Just freezes in a standby state.

I was watching the OU-Oregon game with a friend of mine on my TV, and right at the moment before the ball was kicked on the last attempt to score in the game (the field goal that was blocked at the end), the TV went black. We were so fucking pissed.

I've had a 27" Phillips tv for 5 years, not a single problem. I understand that certain brands are shit, but it's possible to get a lemon too.

Hmm..never had a problem with my Phillips 27".

And if I do now, I've already convinced the wife that a 32" LCD will fit nicely in it's place :icon_mrgr

If it just wont come on chances are the fuse blew ... that happened to mine the first time it broke..

just unscrew the back,,, BE CAREFUL TV ARE DANGEWROUS there a fuse right where the plug cord goes in... replace that 20 cent fuse and it should fix it... I would try that before i took it in for fixin.

I agree FU to Phillips TVs. I bought a 32" tube 3 years ago and it just went to the shitter. Had to get the 25" from the bedroom and we threw the other big piece of shit away.
