Ok, i am going to leave this thread broad but i do have a story
So i am currently enrolled at Bunker Hill Comunity College, and today was the first day of my "World Civ I" class. Usuall overveiw bullshit but then we had an icebreaker discussion which included the question "what is the biggest problem facing the world today". Well there was some German bitch who was mouthy all class and she imediately just blurted out, with no explanation by the way, "George Bush".
Nice line cunt, Well she gets a laugh and we move on. I finally say something, my problem being "the suffication of ideas". I tried to go on into how no one is willing to take chances in the world today in opinions and ideas in general when the bitch inetrups me
"well, that is just America" she says in this horidly cunty tone
"well, it is in america but i on't see it as only here" i try to explain
"not where i come from, never" she says in this fucking upidy tone
I'm, at this point pissed and annoyed.
"Swetie, you come from a country where it is a crime to mention The holocaust in any other way than what the goverment tells you, a major part of your history"
She shuts the fuck up really quickly.
later in the class, someone says global warming and she goes on one of those mindless "we cant destroy the earth" "we need to do omething" rant with absolutely no solution again.
I bring up how hard it would be to slow it, and imposible it is to fix it
"oh well, you don't know what you are talking about" she says in such a pasive cunty voice
At this point i am already furious and in desperate need of a cigarette so i just go off:
"I don't know, are you retarded? you have all of these ideas and no solutions beyond a sweet little well wishing liberal idea. Maybe if you actuall read insted of getting your ideas off of hot topic bumper stickers you wouldn't be so ignorant"
She shuts up, class ends, i smoke and am pissed off for the rest of today
This semester will be fun...

Really, Bush himself has advocated to stop global warming. Did you see your paragod of conservatism advocate spending billions in Africa to stop malaria and AIDS?
As long as people sit here and continue this nonsense that everyone that trashed Bush is a "liberal" people like me will check them. Constantly.
Now maybe this particular girl was what you say she is. I'd say after 6 years of this shit we have now, I don't really see a difference. There are plenty of people out here that aren't liberals that take pleasure in this piece of garbage in the White House getting trashed every single minute of every day.
Is your loyalty to that stupid little R, or your country?

I ran into that shit all the time in college, except it was always the professors saying shit like that. My art history teacher kept talking about how we should apologize to the Japanese for WWII. My accounting teacher kept talking about how evil corporations are fleeing America and the job market is collapsing. Of course when you mention that the unemployment rate is declining and is very low, the cunt looks at you like you're a moron.
My logic professor was the worst though. I had very different political views than him, and we got in debates all the time during class. End of the semester I asked if he would give me a letter of recommendation because I was going to study in Taiwan. Well he gives me a bad review which basically had the undertext of "This guy doesn't agree with me politically".
College just smothers debate.

Well her underlying theme was what, the single biggest threat in the world is George Bush, correct? Ok, that gives him way too much credit. I'd say you have to toss Cheney in there too.

Well my angle is this. There was a time I was on the bandwagon. I campaigned my ass off for this loser. I was at the conventions, turned my friends onto the GOP, I was a persuasive fucker for this idiot. Because I had become so sick of Bill Clinton, and we all needed a change. I donated tons of money, even met the man twice. So think of it as a betrayal when it comes to me.
All those times I heard these cunts tell me "leave the democratic party, think for yourself. we welcome independent thought" and all that trash. Because I was personally lied to by these very people, who supported me, loved me, did anything for me until I had my own thoughts, and was able to discern for myself that they were lying to me. Each of them systematically stabbed me in the back. Because I didn;t agree with them on EVERYTHING I had no more use to them. So fuck em, and fuck him.
Bush to me is like so many people on this board talk about when they refer to Howard Stern. At one time I believed in the man, and he let me down. His promises were lies, his policies were trash. And I can assure you everything I go after him on it comes from firsthand knowledge that the guy is nothing but shit. I have earned my place to talk, and say anything I will about him. With impunity. And I'll never stop.

I'm with you, all the way. Once upon a time, I was what I considered a real conservative, and all I wanted was a change from what I thought was this libertine Clinton administration. GWB seemed to be the ideal solution, and, I'm sorry to say, I voted for him when he first sought office.
Not long afterwards, there was September 11. That was enough to galvanize my belief in my country and my own duty to it to join the Army.
It's now more than four years later, and I've seen firsthand the damage Bush has visited upon our country. Our military doesn't even know what its actual goal in Iraq is, we're still in Afghanistan, and really, there's no end in sight -- at least as long as this guy remains president.
Our military has been used irresponsibly, and our national resources have been unfairly diverted to continuing a war sold to us on false principles of "WMD" and "Terrorism."
Amazingly, there are multitudes of Americans who still believe that our military is still doing good work in Iraq by "keeping the terrorists busy so they don't come over here and blow US up."
I'm at the point that I think that Americans as a people are so stupid that any explanation will do, and that any excuse to kill people who look different from us is a good one, and that if we have to sacrifice constitutional liberties is a requirement to make that happen, we'll do it.
We're stupid, fat, lazy, and complacent... so I guess George W. Bush is the perfect person to turn the presidency into a dictatorship.
I'd go on, but this post is too long already and I'm getting drunk. Patriotism today has turned into McCarthyism.... anyone who strays is automatically a traitor. Fuck this place.

Two party system...the illusion of choice.
A nation of millions and for over two decades your choice is between Bush or Clinton? Oh, they threw in some other people to make it look interesting. I'm not advocating some "the government is out to get you maaaan" theory, but the two party system is bankrupt on new ideas. Except for parting you and your money to use for their purposes.

Anyone who believes that Bush (or any American at all) is the largest problem facing this world is a fucking retard. It has nothing to do with left or right. Militant Islam is the greatest problem facing the world, nothing else is even close.
Bush has been a disappointment on many fronts, but he's hardly the worst thing in the world. Hell, he's not even the worst guy to run for President in the past 8 years.

Anyone who believes that Bush (or any American at all) is the largest problem facing this world is a fucking retard. .
Ultimately, I don't see Bush as anything but what he is. A symbol, a figurehead, a puppet. George W. Bush is merely the symptom of the problem in this country. The disease is us, how we think, or in most cases us not thinking at all.
I'm tired of hearing about Islam and Muslims and this terrorist nonsense. Most here are roughly the same age. I'm 34, we've not been around long enough to have a frame of reference.
Everytime we get in the clear as human beings we need a threat, we need something to fear. Back in the day it was Nazis and Hitler, then Communism, then we went through a period where we needed a "war on drugs" then we had this period of time where obviouslythings were going too good. The war machine needed a reason to exist. The "peace dividend" doesn't work for the military industrial complex, so they couldn't profit. And voila, now all of a sudden it's paranoia again.
What you and everyone that thinks like yourself needs to grasp is this. Many of us don't live in fear of some ragtag idiotic ragheads 8,000 miles away. What we do worry about are politicians and power players who will use the fact that Muslims exist to profit off the fear they cause.
Put simply, you may love America. That's fine. So do I. The difference between you and I is that I refuse to believe we have to destroy what America is in order to save it.
I refuse to live in a fascist police state. I refuse to live in a society where I'm expected to give up my liberty as a human being. I refuse to live in a society where I must give undying unyielding loyalty to men, who are as fallable as I am. I refuse to blindly hate people that are not like I am, for the mere fact of hating them. I refuse to surrender who I am, who we are, what we are as a nation.
America if and when she ever falls will never fall to Muslims, or any invaders. What she will fall from is internal. People willing to give up the founding principles and liberty for which she stands for.
DonTheTrucker
01-25-2007, 12:38 PM
No one says the world or America is going to fall to Muslims. They're just the latest in a string of bad guys who want to cause trouble. The scenario I see happening is some bunch of ragheads getting a nuke and dropping it on Israel. Then Israel nukes Iran, Pakistan nukes India and India nukes Pakistan back.
It wouldn't be the end of the world, or America, but it would be really fucking bad.
And to think our country is going to fall to some crooked politicians is a bit myopic. Things will get worse before they get better, but in the end people won't fall for it. This isn't Europe where people have had the free spirit beaten out of them by socialist welfare states. Have a little more faith in the people. The majority may be sheep and stupid; but there are enough of us who love the nation and know what it's supposed to stand for and know how to protect those principles to save the day.
We're not that far apart in how we think the country "should" be run. I think you just over estimate the ability of stupid politicians to fuck things up.
YourAmishDaddy
01-25-2007, 12:58 PM
No, America won;t fall to a bunch of politicians. America will fall, and is falling from a lack of knowledge, a lack of sense of who we are, and a yellow streak a mile long. Some raghead goes boo and a million people shit their pants. It's the cowardice of Americans, the apathy, the willingness to give up freedom and liberty because a politician says so.
It's happened time and time and time again throughout history. Now it's out turn. If a president, any president now since 9-11 says to do anything there's a good 30% out there that will do it, no matter what it is. People would sacrifice their own sons and daughters because of it. In a different age, that would be called insanity. This is what rampant ignorance mixed with faux nationalism has gotten us. Willing to go out and kill and blow up anyone that's deemed the enemy. Who points out who the enemy is? Who watches over the people we entrust to watch over us.
Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? A Latin phrase that sums up everything. People have no concept of it these days. It's one of the most vital things this nation was built on We've lost that in this modern society. That will be the ultimate downfall of America.

Think logically and reasonably about what someone said and/or a position they endorsed and then come up with your own opinion instead of just robotically repeating whatever is trendy to say. Amazing how history tends to repeat itself...
Below is an extract of a conversation between Hermann Wilhelm Göring and Allied prison psychologist Dr. Gustave Mark Gilbert, as relayed in Dr. Gilbert's Nuremberg Diary (New York: Farrar, Straus and Company, 1947), pp. 278-279:
We got around to the subject of war again and I said that, contrary to his attitude, I did not think that the common people are very thankful for leaders who bring them war and destruction.
"Why, of course, the people don't want war," Goering shrugged. "Why would some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best that he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece. Naturally, the common people don't want war; neither in Russia nor in England nor in America, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a Parliament or a Communist dictatorship."
"There is one difference," I pointed out. "In a democracy the people have some say in the matter through their elected representatives, and in the United States only Congress can declare wars."
"Oh, that is all well and good, but, voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

.....I finally say something, my problem being "the suffication of ideas". I tried to go on into how no one is willing to take chances in the world today in opinions and ideas in general when the bitch inetrups me
"well, that is just America" she says in this horidly cunty tone
"well, it is in america but i on't see it as only here" i try to explain
"not where i come from, never" she says in this fucking upidy tone.
You could have completely shut her up at that point by stating:
"Like I originally stated, the problem is with the suffocation of ideas. I am here attempting to express a different idea and am being interrupted by someone that apparently feels so threated by me that she cannot even allow me to finish.
Never in your country? Please, fill us in. If things are so great in your country, why are you here attending college? I'm sure there are plenty of places you could go to over there"
I have a friend from Canada that is fairly conservative, but every now and again, he goes on and on about how much better Canada's social programs are and about how they have free health care. Once he starts going down that road, I always ask him if he would rather have a surgery performed at Mass General or at any hospital in Canada. Then I ask him why he lives in the states and is applying for dual citizenship if it is so bad here. Thankfully, he's such a good friend that we laugh it off and change the subject.
As far as the rest of this thread is concerned, please feel free to continue to debate if this woman is a cunt or not.
Whenever politics come into play, threads always get heated. Everyone is free to express their opinions, but let's just remember to refrain from personal attacks.

Hermann Göring. Air Force chief. Philosopher. With his fingers on the pulse of America. Why doesn't he come back to life and run for President? If Göring wins, umlauts for everyone. Opie & Anthöny get theirs first.
Chin nuts posted a winner.

YEP...I too remember this type of shit irritating the hell out of me. Let me just say this to the Freshman that started this thread. Trust me my friend...it really doesn't matter in the least.

Everything kinda died down, mostly because my professor is really against current events topics. I really need to take a current issues class so i can work my way up to moderate celebrity in the FU forum

Funny thing about Bush is that the economy is doing fine yet the media is focusing the attention on Iraq and then Katrina.
Man, I bet you just wanna tell this European "If you don't like it, get the fuck out!" And just remind her that if it wasn't for the US, she'd be saluting a swatztika and shipping Jews off to Auchwitz.
Funny thing is that if the world is bashing Bush, what will they say if, God forbid, Hillary gets in the White House? "C" word anyone?
