MLB is set to announce Yankee Stadium as site of the 2008 All-Star game. Yankee Stadium opened in 1923, is scheduled to close after the 2008 season, and the Yankees will move into a new stadium, being built across a street.

Im PRETTY sure that all star tickets are not included in season ticket packages, just like playoff and worldseries even though it takes place during regular season play.

I know the allstar game is pretty cheesy but I'd really like to go to one once in my life, plus the legends game would be cool as shit to see live.

Season Ticket holders will get tickets, but you won't have the same seat. Those goes to corporate and players' families depending on the seat.

Yankee Stadium to Host 2008 All-Star Game

NEW YORK (AP) -- Yankee Stadium is going out with an All-Star salute.

The beloved old ballpark will host the All-Star game in 2008, the final season before the New York Yankees move into a new stadium being built across the street in the Bronx.

Baseball commissioner Bud Selig and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg were on hand Wednesday at City Hall for the announcement, which had been expected.

It will be the fourth All-Star game at Yankee Stadium, which underwent an extensive renovation in the mid-1970s. The most recent summer showcase in The House That Ruth Built was in 1977, when the National League won 7-5 for the sixth of 11 consecutive victories over the AL.

Now, the American League has nine wins and a tie in the past 10 All-Star games going into this year's contest July 10 in San Francisco. The 2009 game will be played in St. Louis.

Yankee Stadium also was the site of All-Star games in 1939 and 1960.

Besides the punctuation your use of "there" is atrocious. It is not a catchall word. There is differences between "there", "their", and "they're". You can't just use "there" for all cases. Fucking disgusting.

As for the rest, despite the damage in '98 the park is still holding up well and could get many more years. It is a great place to see a game. More than I can say for that relic in Boston where you get to sit in a cramped seat with a fucking green beam in front of you. Fuckers should spend less time marketing faggot ass green and pink hats and come up with a way to get a new stadium. Bitches.

If Torre is not picked up as a coach for the NL team, it would be a great move to have the Yanks invite him to throw out the first pitch.
I just got season tickets this season and im hoping we get something.

I doubt he'd do that. He's pissed at the Yankees FO.
