I used to be addicted to MUME, an all text middle earth MMORPG. That was cool cause players would play both whities and darkies. It was all PvP based, where the minions of Sauron would battle the free people. They even had war stats, to say who was winning the war based on the entire races performance.

Spent too much of my life on that thing.

The novelty of playing in middle earth wears off quickly and you are left with a poor mans WoW with a poorly though out combat system and weak class structure. I played beta for about 2 weeks and quit. Then I decided to give it another chance since it was only a beta and still wasn't impressed. I don't see this game holding peoples attention for too long.

I am not a big enough fan of Lord of the Rings for this to hold my interest for long. But I do wonder what all of these online games are thinking about when they won't port it to Mac also. Look at WoW and how many players they get from the Mac side since it is really the only game on Mac at all.
